They've updated the Disney website with this year's information:

We were really hoping to take our DD to her first WDW trip together, but DH has his block leave at the end of March beginning of April. I know that I want to take DD to WDW for Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party since we went last year at DL. Hopefully all of us will be able to go and we can squeeze in a good date before DH deploys.

We called and was told it end on the 31 of July. Going to call agin and see what that cm says. We would rather go at the end of Aug.

Just like last year, the waters can be a little murky the first few hours or days of such a sweeping discount announcement.

Although the website says............'through Sept 3' I think that may be a typo. I believe it is supposed to reflect an end date of Sept 30th.

My CM on the phone today read out loud from her screen and it said through the 30th.

I successfully changed a Sept 3-6 reservation and a mid Sept reservation to the 40 percent off rate. I have already received my email confirmation of the lower price.

The July 31st date as a cut off for booking matches what the CM told me today.

I bring this up so that people that want to visit from Sept 3 to the 30th know that they can take advantage of the offer. I did!

I thought this little line was interesting. I am going to buy my tickets on post seeing as I drive by the Travel Agent daily. Anything to save a few bucks! I just booked my trip yesterday and modified it today and save $1000! :cheer2:

I am soooo happy they announced this!! I want to book a trip for my best friend who's graduating from college in June....so we'll see!!! But, I am glad they have this offer again. I was getting worried!!

doesn anyone know of adding the dining plan make it into a "package" with DME, resort mugs, etc? That's what they did last year, unclear if the same deal this time around...

Any time you stay in a Disney owned resort you qualify for Magical Express. You don't have to book a package to take advantage of it.

Resort mugs come through buying certain Dining Plans. The Quick Service and Deluxe Plans are the ones I know of that include the refillable mugs. The Regular Dining Plan does NOT.

If you do decide to add the Dining Plan, then your vacation will be considered a package and you will be bound by standard package rules, like completing payment 45 days before your trip.

Are you asking if you cna make this a package without buying tickets thru WDW? The answer is yes--just tell the CM when booking that you'd like to add dining-- but as stated above, all package rules apply.

FYI--You can always us ME while staying on property and anyone can buy a resort mug.

so I guess I'd be better off adding dining at the last minute (10 days out) to avoid all the package rules...

Not really. You would have to pay the amount in full at 10 days. Your room only deposit would be refunded.

If you don't think you'll have the money for your trip by 45 days before, or you think you may end up canceling your trip at the last minute, then sure waiting may be worth it.

For those interested, I called WDW ticketing tonight about whether or not this offer is valid at Disneyland (Disneyland's ticketing office was closed....?)

According to them the exact offer IS valid at Disneyland as well.

I think I'm still going to call Disneyland tomorrow and check with them...since the press release doesn't seem to mention Disneyland at all.

UPDATE: I called DL ticketing directly this morning, and they told me that this offer is NOT valid at Disneyland.

I would love to know what parts of the discounts are available at Disneyland. Considering a run down there if the deals are good enough.

If Disneyland is offering the military salute tickets do you suppose we could get a GAD ticket and upgrade it for the full value of a 1 day ticket and purchase the military tickets with that $$?

I think that is because from what I've seen on the WDW site to add PH it is $26/ticket and if you add it while at a MWR/ITT office it is $25/ticket. :) So you are saving $1/ticket by adding the PH on base. If you buy two tickets you can then use your savings to buy a soda from a resort machine.

Does anyone know why this deal only goes thru 9/30? :confused3 I'm holding out hope for an extension thru the end of the year...My husband is deployed & doesnt' return home until late Sept, so we were planning a trip down in early December this year. I think it's really wonderful they are offering a discount again this year - I hope lots of military families are able to use it!! :goodvibes

I called DL ticketing this morning and they told me this is NOT valid at Disneyland after all.

I apologize if I gave anyone false hope about that :(

I'll admit this is the first time I've been slightly annoyed with Disney reservation/ticketing CMs. I had one DL reservation person tell me yes, it was valid. She transferred me to DL ticketing, which put me on hold, and then I got an automatic recording that the office was closed.

I called WDW ticketing, and they tell me it's valid at DL. (and slightly, playfully, admonish me for not coming to WDW :p)

I understand that not all of the CMs are going to know the intricate details of every offer, and I don't expect them to...but a basic, is this valid here, when calling the reservations line--especailly the one at the park in question-- should get you a correct answer..

Can anyone help me figure out the best way to add more days to these tickets? We leave on Thursday (the 7th) for a trip that is a total of 10 days. Because me me flying in mid day and DH flying in from Iraq also mid day, obviously we wont be going to the parks that day. He is running the half marathon and we have tickets for the post race victory lap party at DHS. I cannot recall if those tickets allow us entry to DHD earlier than when the party starts or not. We are also planning to do 2 days at US, and one day at Sea World. 4 days at the parks is probably not quite enough, but buying 2 tickets for each of us giving us 8 days is probably TOO many, given the US and Sea World days.
What would be the best solution to adding a few days on these?

If it were expected to be warmer weather, I would have planned a few water park days in there to spread it out but given that temps are going to be in the 40s if we are lucky, that's probably not going to happen.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

ETA: For what it's worth, both my DH and I have FLorida driver's licenses. We live in Maryland but our DL's are Florida, though mine has a maryland address on it and DH's still has the florida address on it. Since we are military we kind of have 2 states of residence. I 've not researched it enough to know if we would still qualify for Florida resident based discounts
