2009 Rates

Unfortunately, we cannot go to WDW this year but we can next year....when do the rates normally come out for the next year???

The 2007 rates came out mid-August, 2006 and the 2008 rates came out mid-August, 2007. I was able to book a room only reservation in June, 2007 (for June, 2008) but was told that the rates would be adjusted as soon as the 2008 rates came out. I went ahead and booked so that I could hold our room (we had our hearts set on Wilderness Lodge). As soon as the official 2008 rates came out, I canceled the room only and booked a package.

do you still pay the $200 to hold the room and does it transfer to the package???

For the room only, you will be required to put down a deposit equal to one night's stay. When the package prices come out, you will need to cancel the room only and book a package. Disney will refund your room only payment. (I received mine in just a week.) You will be required to put down the $200.00 package deposit within fourteen days from the day you book the package.

Depending upon when in 2009 you want to go, you may be able to make a room only reservation now. You can book rooms 499 days in advance. For 2009 dates you need to call Disney, can't use the web site. The rates will come out in the summer, since 499 days from Dec 2009 is sometime in August 2008. At that point all days will be available and the rates and packages will be available.
