We booked 2 cabins at the Fort for the early part of January some time ago. We were told at the time of booking, as the CM always do with future year rates, that they may change. We were resigned to the rates going up. Don't they always?! Well, when I read here that the 2009 rates were out I called to find out the damages. Wonder of wonders! Our rate went DOWN
$75/night!! not including the taxes. The CM confirmed and recalculated. I've NEVER had anything at Disney cost less!! Now to wait for annual pass rates! Disney could end up owing me money!:cheer2:

They had already gone up. When you book before they're released the rates, they assign you the highest rate possible - something like the present year's holiday season rate. Then, when the prices are set for the year, as long as you're not booked for holiday season, it will seem like your rate came down. But, if you compare it for last year's rates, you'll see the rate actually did go up.
But as long as it seems like it went down for you, enjoy your saved money!

See kids? It's all about your perspective. This is how you live happily ever after. :upsidedow
