Woohoo!

Looks like I picked THE year to visit Disneyland for the very first time! Celebrating my birthday while we are there (Just imagine, getting a gift card from Disney, what a great b-day present, it will make it even more special)

We will celebrate our first visit at DL too so I have a feeling that this is going to be a very special vacation!

Will the Big Thunder Ranch be open for anyone? Just people clebrating BDays? Do you need a PS or some sort of reservation? Is it an extra fee? Just wondering what they will do there exactly.

Some tour information (still not enough ;) ) I found on AllEars net:

WHAT: Disney Parks “What Will You Celebrate?” Tour

BACKGROUND: In a new national trend, American families are traveling in celebration of milestones in their lives – birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, reunions, triumphs. Disney parks in the U.S. embrace “celebration vacations” in 2009 with new experiences that turn milestones into memories. The new parks-wide party poses the question “What Will You Celebrate?” To get the party started early, Disney is taking “What Will You Celebrate?” on the road.

DETAILS: Disney Parks brings the “What Will You Celebrate?” message in a magical and interactive way to 30 cities this fall and winter. Colorful vehicles – a party on wheels – roll out the fun from town squares to Times Square, featuring thousands of free Mickey Mouse balloons, a chance to win a “celebration vacation” to a Disney park and the opportunity to register for a special birthday celebration surprise. Disney characters and ambassadors also go on-air with fun celebration moments.

The last time Disney did a tour to our city...it was held at our local mall...I wonder if this is what they will do? Maybe in the parking lot...Colorful vehicles?

well 61doller card is still good i mean i will buy a park hopper package in wdw

Portland isn't too far from us (about an hour or so drive) but their schedule shows they will be in town on a Friday, and it doesn't say where specifically. :sad2:

I wonder how you are supposed to find them? :confused3

If you find out any more info can you pm me? (I'm in Eugene)

that's interesting, how the WDW people feel vs the DLR people.

Then again, you get so relatively little for b'days at DLR compared to WDW, so the WDW dislike the whole celebrating on a different day thing so much more than we do, so I think maybe it's just an "issue" for them and they can't see how nice it is.

What? The hotel room cooking nazi's don't like something? I just don't go there anymore.

Can someone please post the list of cities where the tour will be going? I can't access the info. from the Disney website and I'm wondering if the tour will be coming anywhere in WA state, like the Seattle area. Thanks! :)

What exactly is this tour business and what happens if you go to it?

But if you look at the dates for the first tour, it is in 5 days...we should know more by then...9/24 Toronto Come on Toronto...let us hear from you! :3dglasses

Alas, the terms and conditions page states it can't be used "towards the purchase of any food and beverage items". Just merchandise. And not any merchandise b/c there are a bunch of not-allowed locations (some or all of the ones you can't use the premium AP discount on).

But still, merchandise is pretty good!

I think that candy counts as merchandise. Like candy from Pooh's Corner and stores that sell candy like that. I remember buying some Tigger Tails and chocolate covered strawberries and it was over $10 so I got to use my 10% premium AP discount...

I was wondering the same thing. We have a big mall near us with a Disney Store, so I was HOPING....maybe there.:)

I have been going crazy trying to find out where exactly these tours are taking place!!! There is nothing like having a little Disney at home but it just says Boston.:confused3 Boston is a big place, why don't they tell us where and what time?
