2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

I priced ours out first on Disney's site and this is what I got.

POP Century - 10 nights for 2 adults
Two adult 9 day ticket with park hopper
Two adult Regular Dining Plan

$2,333.62

Well fellow planners..I've booked our vacation as you can see. I was kinda dissapointed to see that value season doesnt start until 8/9/2009..but what can you do.

Due to circumstances we were only able to book from 8/9-8/16..less than I wanted but still thankful that we get to go. We are definitely going back to CBR but passed on the new Pirate rooms over in Trinidad South..just too far away. Staying with the preferred area as usual. I also think that we are probably going to drive down this time around..but that's subject to change.

Wow!! I sure wish we could stay 14 days - I'd be at a moderate or value in a SECOND! Because that's about almost the EXACT same price as 6 nights/7 days at the Poly with park hopper, water park and more and dining plan!!! But, 7 days is our max, so we'll stick with the Poly. Maybe some day....

Since we have been waiting for 10 years to go and given that this our 25th anniversary we decided to, as the saying goes, Go Big or Stay Home. We are flying using Airmiles so flight will be free -- only have to pay the airport taxes etc -- getting a sorta limo service to take us so we don't have to worry about our car sitting at the airport for 2 weeks (it is brand new!)

I called this afternoon expecting to sit on hold FOREVER, but my end didn't even ring before the nicest CM i have ever talked to picked up the line. So now it is official, even changed my mind and went with the DELUXE dining so we can eat ourselves silly while there!!

Good Luck to everyone else that you get the plans made you want -- oh and get this while she was making the ressies she stopped and said "OH LOOK Dumbo just flew across my screen and sprinkled fairy dust on your reservation" I asked what the heck that meant and was told i would need to wait till we arrived to find out ??!?!?!?

Where are you booked? Do you have a pre trip report going?

I went to AAA today, but they could only access dates through December 18, and we want to be there 12/12 - 12/19, so I'm going back tomorrow!

We will have six value nights and one peak night...unless I somehow manage to arrive late on Friday night and leave the following Friday instead...hmm... is it worth it for the price change?

We are going december 5 through December 12, 2009. It will be DH, myself, our two girls and both of my parents. My parents are staying concierge in the main building of the Grand Floridian and the four of us are staying at the Grand Floridian in a Magic Kingdom view room. :goodvibes I can't wait to start planning our advance dining reservations though it seems so overwelming.

I wish I'd known then what I know now about ADRs, etc! You're so smart to come on the boards before you do all that!

At that time of year, it sounds like if you want to make plans for the MVMCP, you can do it BEFORE you can make your ADRs (tix for MVMCP went on sale May 1 this year), then you can plan around it a little bit.

I definitely want to do the party, plus the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, so I'll plan those two things first, then see what else we want to try to do!

We will be staying in POR , Kind sized Bed in one of the Mansion buildings

I have yet to start the pre-trip report since i figure it is just plain and simple too early and I would drive everyone batty :rotfl2:

I just booked our package tonight through AAA! :woohoo:

08/30/09 - 09/05/09
Port Orleans Riverside

I can't wait! Hopefully this next year flies by! I'm still crossing my fingers that they do some sort of free dining again next year, too. :)

We're booked too!!!!! Went to AAA today, booked everything just like we wanted and put down the $200 balance.

6 nights (May 2-8, 2009) at the Polynesian - Gardenview (request: first floor, Tokelau, east side)

2 adults, 2 children (ages 5 and 6 then)- 7 Day Park Hoppers with Water Fun and More
Regular DDP.

Total is $4460.26 minus my $200 deposit, we owe: $4260.26, which should be a few hundred less than our tax return. I'll file right at the beginning of Feb, should have the return by mid-Feb and I'm headed straight to AAA again, LOL. Balance is due 3/18/2009, so should be just fine!

You'll have to do a vow renewal while your at it!!!!!!!!! Just did ours on the Disney Magic and it was wonderful. You'll have a blast.....and who knows, maybe Dumbo sprinkling pixie dust means you'll get a room upgrade or something!!!

I definitely wanna do MVMCP. I'll keep a look out for the tickets around then. Thanks!

Just joined DIS today AND booked our WDW trip for March 14-22, 2009. Our girls think we're going next summer and we'll surprise them at Christmas and tell them it's March break. My eldest daughter will be turning 10 on March 21. Any suggestions?

I'm a newbie for everything: DIS and WDW. We are Canadian and will be booking flights when the flights come out a little later for March flying out of Buffalo.

How do you get the countdown banner and the pictures etc. under your username.

Me::confused3 Husband:  (sick of hearing about WDW) DD :cutie: DD:dance3:

We will be there the week after you to celebrate our oldest son's birthday....8 y.o. and I am going to try and book one of the pontoon boat/fireworks viewing things for that night. He can't wait to get to the Magic Kingdom so he can get his button (at the town hall) and wear it all day and have all the CM's say Happy Birthday!!

When we went in Jan 2008 with some friends, their daughter was turning 3 the day we left. The CM's told her to wear her pin ALL the days we were there, so she did. It was so nice to have her first trip be so special - that pin gets you a lot of attention!
