2009 DDP, DxDP and QS plans - Everything you always wanted to know

This will be our first time using any dining plan other than DDE (now TIWL).

My take on the deluxe plan is each TS credit is good for 1-app., 1-entree, 1-dessert, and 1-non-alcoholic beverage or 1-buffet.

As I read it, if you use a TS credit for breakfast your choices are either a 1-buffet or a TS meal including 1-juice, 1-non-alcoholic beverage, and 1-entree. I am assuming the juice replaces the dessert, so does that mean you essentially are losing an appetizer when using your credit for breakfast?

The reason I ask is b/c on Kona Cafe's breakfast menu it has an appetizer/starter section on the menu. I was interested in ordering the fresh fruit cup in addition to my entree and didn't know if I would need to pay for it out of pocket?

Thanks for all the great info on this thread, it is very helpful especially for people new to a dining plan!

Breakfast doesn't come with an appetizer. You get juice and an extra beverage. You've seen on the brochure for the deluxe dining plan it does not mention appetizers with breakfast.

However, we've had some posters who say they were allowed to get them, so you can try asking.

I believe you can use a CS credit at Starring Rolls for the sandwich and chips, drink and dessert. I do not see any kids choices on any of their menus. Can you use children's CS credits for the sandwich, chips and drink at this location?
Thanks,
Megan

Also - if anyone knows what desserts you can select for inclusion with your CS credits...or specifically if there are exclusions, can you let me know? Thanks!!!

If there is no children's menu, children may order anything off the regular menu.

Note that Starring Rolls does have a "for kids" selection on an unofficial menu dated 2/09 of Smuckers Uncrustables PB&J with grapes, applesauce and milk. This may be all you can order for your kids on the dining plan.

The menu has definitely changed since 2/09 since they no longer have smoked salmon at breakfast.

You are correct there is a chlds choice of PB and J at Starring Rolls For an adult selection there are no exclusions that I saw for a dessert. :)

Thanks All!:thumbsup2 You guys are so quick and FULL of info!!
MomP - Where did you find that menu? I looked all over for an updated menu.

Thanks! They should have a smiley with something flying right over your head! I went back and saw it :)

I have a questions and I'm off to work so I aplogize for not looking through this thread beforehand.

If you use the Basic DDP at a signature dining restaurant that requires 2TS Credits, do you get an appetizer also? Just wondering for our Narcoosee's ADR

No you don't. Even at 2TS locations it's still an entree, non-alcoholic drink, and dessert.

That menu is not the most up to date one for Starring Rolls. The smoked salmon at breakfast was removed in March. I do not know if that was the only change made.

I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find it I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but I wanted to double check with...

DS11 and I are on the Dining Plan however I know that at some of the restaurants he will want to order his entree from the kids menu and dessert from the regular menu. Is this okay? I'm guessing that Disney does not care since it is a win for them if I have paid adult costs but order kids meals.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this has been answered, or not.

How much would it cost if 4 adults received the FREE DINING plan, while staying at a value resort? Would it still be the rack of $80-$100 for the room per night. Or do they charge per adult?

Thanks so much!

Brunette

They do charge for more than 2 adults in the room. I believe it is around 10/15$ per person per night.

If he wants the kids menu, I would just pay OOP. There are a few restaurants that will give you,for example, an adult portion of Mac & Cheese

Hello,
I think I have a dumb question to ask???

When you are on the DxDP and you are finished with your meal
how do they total the bill if you have everything included??

Does the bill include app, drink and also the meal??

Thanks
