2008 participating in the propagation of enlightenment should not be perpetuated 2010

When I progressed from being cool to the "un-cool" person I have become, I read books such as....Harry Potter, Peter & the Starcatchers, Peter & the Shadow Thieves, The Kingdom Keepers....um....I also loved the Goosebump Books & Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and Eragon, but don't tell anyone.

Speaking of being "un-cool" and reading....Deb, have you ever read the Mitford series with Father Tim by Jan Karon? I absolutely LOVE those books!

I've read all of them....TWICE!!! They are simply heartwarming! My reading tastes are extreme. I love horror, sci-fi, bio's, non-fiction, historical fiction, religious fiction, teen fantasy,,,, everything except romance novels.

Kelly....if you've not read the book The Shack by William P. Young....get it and read it!!! It's at Barnes & Nobles in the religious fiction section. You won't put it down! Also read 90 Minutes in Heaven.

Oh my gosh...you know I was wondering about the Mitford series. I was looking through them in the bookstore. There appeared to be so many, and I wondered do you start with the first one..does it make a difference in the series. They didn't have them in any particular oder and I didn't know which one to start with. I'm so glad to hear that you woud recommend them.

Phyllis, yes, start with the first one. It's not a pre-requisite or anything, but, trust me, you'll be glad you did. I was addicted to those books! Simply wonderful. They should say the order inside where it lists her books. :confused3 If not, let me check, I'll let you know the name of the first one. In fact, I'll pm the order to you. "Consider it done!" Once you start the series, you'll understand that. ;)

Thanks..can't wait. I'm sure they had the order printed in them, but I was there picking up a book for my daughter for one of her college courses. My teenage son was with me...he was a pest about wanting to leave and not linger in the book store. PITA!

OK, people, the rules of this thread were: 1) there should be no attention paid to the thread. In other words, ignore it; 2) if you don't ignore it, you should propagate, but not enlighten in any way.

So what's with all this deep, intellectual thought lately??? Are you trying to enlighten me??? I am working hard to blind myself to all this enlightenment, but it is beginning to seep through my defenses.

Lalalalalalalalala. I am not listening. Too late, I hear the Mickey Mouse anthem bubbling upward. I think about philosophers. I wonder about the world itself.

Dang, I am back in the real world, learning and thinking. My vacation from enlightenment is over. Alas, I am doomed to learn........ :worship:

Since its morning, I'll Egg-nore this thread

Since I'm eggnoring this thread I guess I can pretend that I didn't hear that.
from my corner:lmao:

It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means
Friendship to ev'ryone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

Thanks A LOT Denise...now that's gonna be stuck in my head all day....!

Happy Weekend to Bob, who will be listening to Phyllis sing and hum this song. :lmao:

Nope...lucky for him he's 250 miles away. Went upstate NY to bring our golf cart home today from our seasonal site.
I won't dare hum or sing it..the kids would kill me as soon as look at me if they heard it. Nope..you just put it in this brain, and here it will stay..playing OVER AND OVER again all Day. :sad2:

just doing my part while having lunch, well back to lunch. It was a good ignore.

I am sure that as a group we can ignore this thread much more dilegently than we have..

Lone-star you should be proud....this has been one mighty fine ignore thread!

It is probably on it's way to becoming the most "noticed" ignore thread...
