Actually, Invisible Children brings up a good point. I was a member of a community theater that put on half-decent productions. A friend encouraged me to visit other local theaters to see performances. I compiled a list of the groups that were doing shows I liked, groups that had great actors, directors, sets, etc. I decided to audition for a few shows at these theaters. To my surprise, I was cast the first three times I auditioned, and was in three great productions in a row. Bottom line, go in prepared and with confidence in your abilities. The quality of the people I work with now is unbelievable, and a local poll by a television station named us the best of Boston.

OK...the Madison show was GREAT! I was at the stadium a little over 6 hours! I REALLY liked the "Troopers" show...I thought it was well executed and well rounded. I took some pictures, but they're not great-all I had was my phone. I'm hoping to get them posted to my facebook in a couple of days. I have to say, and I know this is a touchy subject, but I was a bit disappointed in The Cadets show...they had the people out in the middle with microphones again. Their marching and playing are so excellent that I think they really don't need it. Oh well...some friends and I are plannign on watching the finals at the local movie theatre.

woo hoo! Blue Stars take colts for the first time in 27 years! hurray!

And look! They are currently ranked 10th! How cool is that? We need retro pics of those gals in the 70's with the umbrella's!

Back to work and back to the boards. Stanford was AWESOME. Blue Devils are amazing again this year, and the Vanguard has so much potential for the season. Glad I was there to see it all.

yes, what did you think of Phantom?

So far all reports I have heard say they should have won all west coast shows and BD is only winning on reputation:confused: ..... gee reminds me of early 80's we were saying the same thing back then.

** I love Phantom, but have to sorta be a BD fan for personal reasons** :cool1:

Ok, found the list. Only theater in Mass. that will be showing it is in Berlin. That's in the middle of nowhere, and I don't have a car. Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD's.

Looks like more theaters in WI jumped on board! I'm house sitting that week for my parents with 2 dogs and 2 cats to take care of, but I'm sure I can find someone to let them out for the day. This will be my only chance to see all the corps perform, so bring it on baby!
