Actually, Invisible Children brings up a good point. I was a member of a community theater that put on half-decent productions. A friend encouraged me to visit other local theaters to see performances. I compiled a list of the groups that were doing shows I liked, groups that had great actors, directors, sets, etc. I decided to audition for a few shows at these theaters. To my surprise, I was cast the first three times I auditioned, and was in three great productions in a row. Bottom line, go in prepared and with confidence in your abilities. The quality of the people I work with now is unbelievable, and a local poll by a television station named us the best of Boston.
