****2008 Ddp FAQ****

I have a question- we have the Free DDP for our Sept trip, we are staying @ Coronado Springs. The Pepper Market is considered a counter/quick service meal, however they automatically charge 10% tip and since tips are not covered under the '08 DDP (unless otherwise noted) would we have to pay that 10% out of pocket? Or do you think it would be included (like it is for in-room dining). Thanks...sorry if that sounded like a silly question.

Everything I've read says that the 10% added on at Pepper Market is covered by the DDP. That seems to conflict with everything else we've read but maybe the gratuity is only added on for TS.

I've been helping a co-worker make dinner reservations for her upcoming free dining trip....and I was able to obtain a Fantasmic Dinner Package, at Hollywood and Vine. Question.....Is this dinner package a one or two TS?

I was told 1 by the Dining reservations CM...but my friends travel agent keeps telling her it's two. Can't find this info anywhere. :confused3

Hollywood and Vine is one. Mama Melrose would be one. Brown Derby is two.

These are the only restaurants available for the Fantasmic package.

thanks, that's what I thought...now to convince her!

i haven't seen this question so i appologize if it has already been answered. Family and I are planning a trip for Sept.09. We are going to buy DVC points from my boss to stay at Beach Club Villas. I want the DDP and am hoping for free dining. My boss's wife told me that we wouldn't qualify for free dining. Is this true. If it is, i'm wondering if it would be better to not buy their points and just book through Disney...

As far as I know, DVC members and those staying on points cannot participate in the Free dining. They can get the dining plan added to their reservation, which you'd pay upon your check in at the Beach Club, but sorry it's not free.

And you never know what Disney is going to do from year to year...just because they had free dining this year, (as in previous years) they may not have it next year!

correct me if I'm wrong thou'

thanks for the info... i know they may not do the free dining next year but nothing wrong with keeping my fingers crossed... either way, DVC or not, free or not, we are still probably going to do the dining plan... again, thanks

My question - Let's say Disney offers the Dining plan but the dates start while we are already at WDW...can I get the discount plan added to my stay for those days or would I be out of luck altogether :(

I didn't see a response posted to this - but I thought I'd chime in on my experience. We are going 9/20-9/27/08. Free dining is supposed to end 9/20 (our first day) but our TA got us free dining for our entire stay. So unless the TA has some "double-secret" code..... I would believe that you can get the free dining for your whole stay as long as part of it overlaps during the free dining dates.

Also, as a side note, I originally wanted to travel 9/21-9/28 - but then we would miss out on free dining and it would have cost us nearly $1000 (there are 8 of us going) - so we changed our dates by one day to get free dining and it was then included on our entire trip.

Hope this helps......

The way all Disney packages work: You typically can get the package if you check in during the promotional period, so the overlap must be off the end of the promotional period, not off the front of the promotional period.

Hello,

I was just browsing through all the threads and had a question. I just called this AM and booked my November ADR's and turns out due to the kids doing the Pirate cruise while hubby and I are at breakfast we will have 2 meals left over (the kids). We are on the deluxe plan. I am reading some of the posts on here that state that they now seperate your entitlments into kids/adults, is this really true? I only ask because I just took my boys 4 weeks ago and we were on the deluxe plan and on the receipts it just said how many we used, didn't seperate them.I even got a print out from the concierge half way through our stay to double check what we had left and it wasn't seperated on that either. At the end of the day it doesn't matter that much to us, but I was just curious if others have experienced them being seperated.

Thanks a bunch....
Mbg

I'm not sure about the Deluxe Dining Plan, but for the regular Dining Plan entitlements have always been split between those paying (approx.) $38 per day and those paying (approx.) $10 per day. Over the years, more and more enforcement has bene added to ensure guests comply. Now, TS credits are absolutely enforced that way, through the POS accounting systems, and CS credits are enforced by CMs ensuring that they do not provide more regular (non-child) meals in a transaction as the reservation has full-price (non-child) guests.

Thank you for the reply, it makes sense that they would crack down on it. Just wondering why my recepts never showed them seperated, maybe with the Deluxe they don't???

Thanks again!

Hi - It seems that Main Street Bake Shop doesn't have a kids menu. Can you please confirm and add that to your list of places that a childs counter service credit can be used on "adult" meals?

Thanks

H,
We will be @WDW during the food and wine festival in October.
Will we be able to use any of our snack credits for items @the F&W festival?
Someone told me they used them in the past.
Thanks

Last year DDP snack credits could be used for any food item from the Food and Wine Festival kiosks in the World Showcase. Dining plan credits cannot be used for alcoholic beverages (wine samples) or for the F&W special paid dinners and events.

All of the information provided by Disney says "single service non-alcoholic beverage" included with cs and ts meals. Do you find that they limit you to the small size drink or will they allow you to get the large drink or bottle of water?
