****2008 Ddp FAQ****

Drinks at CS are the small size 99.99% of the time. I never had a problem getting a bottle of water with my meal at CS though.

At TS it doesn't matter much, sodas are one size and refills are provided throughout the meal. Shakes are bottomless at WCC, but not at 50's PTC.

Thank you for the reply, it makes sense that they would crack down on it. Just wondering why my recepts never showed them seperated, maybe with the Deluxe they don't???

Thanks again!

Just a guess but since your credits can be used for either CS or TS and the CS entitlements aren't separated, they can't really separate ALL the credits on the deluxe plan. As always, you shouldn't be able to get more adult meals at any time than your card allows- if it's 2A/2C then you can only buy up to 2 A meals at a time in addition to up to 2 C meals.

What to do with the extra credits???
Plan another signature meal, grab a combo meal to share as a snack a couple times. Fun to do in the World Showcase! Get a hotdog, bottle of water and crackerjacks from Casey's while you wait for the fireworks or a parade.

Can you order an Appetizer instead of a Dessert at TS meals?
assuming the dessert is the same price or more expensive than the appetizer

No you cannot. Disney is absolute with this policy - even if there is a medical reason.

That's what I was worried about :/
I myself have severe nut allergies so I was very limited at Boma to my dessert choices (the chef claimed their chocolate may contain hazelnuts so I stuck to tarts and cheesecake without the bottoms). We plan to eat at Jiko on our next trip and we're not sure if they have the same issue with the chocolate.

I see in the description of Counter-Service meals for breakfast that they can be used for "combo meals". What exactly is a combo meal? Thanks, Bob

I just wanted to answer the question about the DDxP and credit pooling since you can use credits for either TS or CS. When I went to check on credits used, my printout showed how many TS were adult and how many were children- only the CS didn't have a designation specifically saying "kids meal" although the items we purchased and pricing were there. So basically, no, you can't share/use children's credits for adults even if you have the DDxP as the credits are taken separately from your original family pool for children vs. adults the same as they are for basic dining.---Kathy

Sorry if this was covered in this thread...I didn't see it if it was.

If we are booked for free basic dining, what is the latest date that we can upgrade to deluxe? Or can we do it all the way until check-in?

TIA!

I'm sure this has already been asked, but I don't have time to read the whole thread!

If you have five people on the DDP, but have an extra person for dinner on one night, can you use six TS credits that night, and four the next?

Also, if you have four TS credits, and five people four dinner, can you pay for the person without credits? If so, can that be the least expensive meal?

this is not allowed - you can not pay for people no on the ddp

yes this is ok - just tell the cm that the cheaper meal is being paid oop

I am trying to figure out my TS credits over our 7 days on the DDP. There are DH and I and two DD. If we all use 2 TS for Cali Grill then just 1 TS for all other 5 days we will each have 1 TS left. If we wanted to do a character meal on our last day could we combine those remaining TS meals and only have to pay oop for one adult and one child? Is that making any sense? I just want to make sure that is allowed otherwise we waste our remaining TS meals.

Thanks for trying to figure out my post.

You haven't provided enough information to be sure, but I think you're saying that you are 2 adults and 2 children 3-9 years old.

You'll get 12 regular TS credits and 12 young child TS credits. (Not 14 each; you get credits per night of your reservation, not per day.)

What might be a better option for you is to just pay for your California Grill mean out-of-pocket, rather than using the Dining Plan there. That way you'll have dinners for every other night, and a character meal for that day you leave for home.

Hi if book the Deluxe Dining Plan just for one night will I still get the mug? Or do you have to book for longer than a day:confused3

You are required to book the Dining Plan for the entire duration of your reservation.

It would just be for one night and than we would be transfering to another resort.

You would have to check on the minimum amount of nights you can book a package. Unless you are DVC and booking on points - there is no minimum as to how many nights you can book with the dining plan on a DVC reservation. The only rule is that you must take the dining plan for the full length of the reservation (that is, you can't book a 7 night reservation and get DDP for only two nights of it).

There is a minimum of 3 nights on a free dining package, but I am not sure about a regular package.
