Hey Kat!
I think you're normal. I found the same thing. Up to to the 3 and 5 minute runs I was doing 5.5. It felt normal. I couldn't do it for anything longer - like had to stop couldn't. Now I'm doing W8 at 4.5. I do bump it up for the last five minutes (3 4.7 and final 2 at 5.0). At first it felt ridiculously slow, but now it feels right.
I, too, want to do the WDW Half in 2010. Do you have a link to the TR? I've been looking for them.

I just never knew there was such a huge difference there. I wonder if I am normal in that regard?! It's just so surprising to me.

Both from a runner and spectator perspective!

That makes me mad.
I did what I was hoping to do. I jogged at 4.8mph the entire time. And not only did I go for 25 minutes but I wanted to keep going for the whole 2.25 miles and that took me 28 min! I actually could have kept going too. But towards the end I began to feel a little muscle pull/pain on the outside and slightly above my right knee. I figured I'd better quit while I was ahead and not hurt myself.

and I got lost a couple of times but the good thing about getting lost was that the time went quicker than it normally does! The first time I looked at my watch I had already run for 7.5 min. and it didn't seem like I had been running that long! I guess having something else to focus on other than the breathing, knee/ankle aches, talking myself into not stopping, etc, really does help!

He takes Singulair, Zyrtec, Nasonex, and has an Albuterol inhaler and he is STILL suffering. The yellow pollen is all over everything, yuck. It is beautiful out though!!
