I think you're normal. I found the same thing. Up to to the 3 and 5 minute runs I was doing 5.5. It felt normal. I couldn't do it for anything longer - like had to stop couldn't. Now I'm doing W8 at 4.5. I do bump it up for the last five minutes (3 4.7 and final 2 at 5.0). At first it felt ridiculously slow, but now it feels right.
I, too, want to do the WDW Half in 2010. Do you have a link to the TR? I've been looking for them.
