I had trouble getting it off that but at least I know I *could* run at 7.0 if my life depended on it - at least for about 30 seconds. I'm going to do 2.5miles som emore before I move up to 2.75 - good luck all!
Glad to hear you are doing well. I think at some point I will switch to distance too and not worry about the time. I sitll have 3 weeks to go though!
Hey guys, check out my sig...notice anything new???
I mailed in my registration for the half today!!!I am DOING IT!! I'm sooooooo excited. My good friend is doing it with me, she registered today as well. YAY!!

Now that the walks are gone, I've stopped listening to the podcasts. But DGF mentioned last night that week 7 expected 2.5 miles in the 25 minutes. That's incredibly optimistic for me. I'm going VERY slowly and doing 2.2 in the week 9 30 minute run.
I have all summer to get faster ; )
and I ran 2miles in the 25 min. No way I could get another .5 mile in right now!1 I am happy with what I am doing and that I have continued with this even though there have been days! I plan to work on distance after I finish the 9 weeks.

Yahoooooo for you! I am excited and in awe of you! I can't wait to hear about your training for the 1/2.Woohoo! Way to set your sights high! No way I am planning anything like that now - I would just like to actually do a 5k eventually - haha

Keep us posted on how you're doing!!
I did MUCH better this time than my first outside jog/walk the other day. I was able to pace myself better so I could jog longer. I would have kept jogging but my son needed to walk sometimes (he did so great though) and honestly I wasn't complaining about slowing down. lol But get this, we got back and our time was under 37 minutes!! I don't know what the exact time was because I forgot to lock my iPhone so I pushed the Stop button at some point and lost a couple minutes. My dh had looked at his clock when we left though so we were able to figure our approximate time and I'm rounding it up to 37 for my log. But yeah, it was great!
W1D2 done for me! Easing in slowly!
And I'm excited to report that I did the 3.1 miles, jogging the entire way, in just under 34 minutes!!!!! I'm still finding it hard to believe, but my dh keeps saying it's true. lol He said my pace was just under 11m. I can't believe it!! I would of course slow down going up the hills, and then go much faster down the hills and somewhat fast (faster than what I do on the treadmill that is) on the flat areas. And it averaged out to 5.48mph. woohoo!Good afternoon, Happy Easter!! It's a beautiful, sunny day here in NC, a bit chilly, well it was before I went for my jog anyway.
srump~ Congrats on week 1!I'm sorry about the shoes, ouch! Do you think you could try to return them? Where did you get them?
Yesterday I completed week 7 on the treadmill. I went 4.9 mph for the 2.5 miles, so that took 30m35s.
Today as I said I went outside for my "Easter Jog".And I'm excited to report that I did the 3.1 miles, jogging the entire way, in just under 34 minutes!!!!!
