Wow, its been quiet here this afternoon!!

Yes I had a lovely evening thanks. Unfortunately due to all this dieting, those 2 large glasses of White Zinfandel went straight to my head last night, so I made a point of not coming of the DIS in case I wrote something inappropriate (which I have done before )

I just got back from dropping dad off...he just kept humming and sighing as we drove back..lol

Tori is running around the house trying to straighten up because the new boyfriend is coming over tonight for the first time. I will be in and out. I'll check in later.

Just a quickie - I have had a horrible day - I am tired, going to retire to the couch in a few.. .I have a LOT of pages to read up on, please don't be offended if I don't reply to all posts... I just don't have the energy to do it!! I am emotionally drained today... It's a long story - and I've told it a million times today (right Michele?!?)...

Good morning everyone!
My kids decided they didn't want to go to bed last night so I never got to check in but it looks like everyone was busy too...not many posts to read!

I was lazy yesterday and didn't get much accomplished so today I am determined to do some cleaning and stay away from the kitchen (and the snacks). I think I can make some of my ADRs today so I have to also get moving on that (but at least thats fun!)

Good morning ladies..

I had a horrible nights sleep - but, hoping today will be better.. I decided I am going to be making A LOT Of changes in my 'social circle'..

A little background on my issues yesterday - I'll make it short and sweet... we had an issue w/the talent show song, we need to change it or bleep out a word in the original, which was "Life is a Highway" - by Rascal Flatts - the word 'lovers' is in there, and we were told it was not acceptable.. anyway... we had issues back and forth, and being we have 16 boys, I said I would split w/one of the other leaders and we would do what half wanted, and the other two leaders (one being my cousin) could take the other group... so, my cousin was PO'd because I suggested it - being her son was being the difficult one w/the choices - we wanted to do HSM2 - the baseball song (don't remember the name) and he refused.. so, I suggested the split, and apparently hurt her feelings.. she was pretty upset w/me.. but, I didn't think I was doing anything wrong.. this whole activity is supposed to be FUN for the kids, and if some wanted to do HSM, they should.. but, whatever, that isn't even the point.. SO, she was pretty mad, we spoke, blah blah blah.. but, after talking to a few people (Michele included - thanks for being there for venting!!) - I made it through the fiasco.. had to deal w/my cousin at school for some PTA door judging contest - she was a bit cold.. then we had talent show practice and talking to me, but a bit cold again..

So, that was my stress yesterday.. there is a lot more to the story, but way too much to type.. needless to say, I am still thinking about it today .. it bothers me, but whatever.. I have to start doing more on my own w/other friends, and w/out them, ya know... need some space...but of course, Ant invites 2 friends over in front of her son yesterday, and included him as well, which is fine w/me.. so, there is no 'issues' w/the kids - they don't know what went on... which is good, but it is hard to have space, ya know?

Am I making sense or rambling? Anyway, that is the jist of the story.. Thanks for listening...

So, basketball today, and BON JOVI tomorrow.. I think the weigh in will go pretty well, I weighed myself this morning, and it looks like 2 pounds, so, as long as I am good today, I should do well.. then tomorrow night, I am going to SPLURGE! I am going to the concert w/my best friend Laura (from grammar school), my friend Jen (her son goes to school w/Ant), and my cousin - so, it'll be interesting!! We are talking, and seemed ok last night, but still a little cold..

Alright, enough of my yapping - I am going to shower and get ready for the day!!

Aww Laurie, so sorry that you had a rough day with your cousin, it's a shame when something that is supposed to be fun, gets a little out of hand, and sometimes people get a bit too competitive - thank goodness the kids were all fine with each other and didn't pick up on the awkwardness

I'm sure by the time you are all off to see Bon Jovi, you'll all be too excited and forget about yesterday

Well done on the 2lbs loss, I hope it's still off for tomorrows weigh-in

Sorry you had such a rough day yesterday, having a close family is wonderful but some times it can be difficult too (I speak from experience). I just need to finalize my ADR decisions with my BIL then I'll let you know what we end up doing. Glad I could remind you and you got what you wanted. Since I check in on the 28th hopefully they will let me do some of mine today too.

I watched the Mets games yesterday, it was a good game but too bad they lost (again). Today its on WPIX (11) so I will take a break from cleaning to watch them play in warm Fl.

Hope today is much better for you!

This morning we had a lie in. We went to visit Paul's aunt in the nursing home, then went to a shopping mall for a wander around, sadly I didn't buy anything, but we did get some $$ for our trip as the exchange rate is so good

Kerry and Becky came in a while ago with a cute Mother's Day balloon and some Daffodils (my fave flowers) for tomorrow. I've got a couple of presents for tomorrow and I'm looking forward to going out to dinner. I've done all my housework and laundry today, so I can chill and be very lazy tomorrow

As for the rest of the day, we haven't got anything else planned, so I'll probably be on here

I stayed up late last night so i decided i would sleep in late this morning. Well my stupid dogs had other plans at two in the morning the puggle started freaking out barking for no reason then at four thirty the german shephard decides he has to go out and then at 5:15 the sharpei desides he wants to bark every time the wind blew a tree branch past the window. I am so cranky now(poor family)and jeff actua;lly gets annoyed with me and tells me to shut them up he has to work tomorrow...lol yah i will tape their mouths closed..

You can vent anytime laurie just be prepared when it is my turn.

Mandy,i think it would cute if you said something inappropriate here..lol..i think we could handle it.

So how was the bf's visit last night sandy?

It is finally the weekend and it feels so good to have very little stress! My mom is home and is doing well! Thanks for all of the well wishes!

Emmy is taking her nap. Sarah is laying on the couch watching haunted and ghost shows on the Travel channel. Mark is just getting up. I plan to spend most of the day catching up with all of you!

Sorry to hear you've had a bad night Michele, actually that has just reminded me that the girls had a friend to sleepover last night, and at 3.45am they decided to start a conversation downstairs, needless to say I had to get up and tell them to go to sleep or else (yeah right). Hopefully you'll get a little nap later
