Been busy here so far this morning. Ian is feeling much better today, thanks for asking guys.

Michele, what a crappy night. Sorry you were left to take all the abuse from corporate. That stinks! Hope you get to sleep in.

Laurie- Hope you're having a good day today. I haven't gotten to organizing yet but it's on my list.

Mandy, hope your washing woes are over soon. It's pretty cool here, I think I might make myself a cup of tea. Sounds yummy

Jen- sorry you had to go back to work today. We will miss you.

Veronica- Have a great time. I love the Outer Banks, where will you be going?

Danielle- your boys sure sound like they stay busy

I keep checking on my DVC wait list to get a studio on 4/28 at AKV but right now it's not going through. At least I have a room at OKW and if I have to switch, I will. I'm just glad we did the extra day. I'm going to take a taxi and hand carry our luggage. I had bell services do it last year when I had to move from POR to CSR on our last day and wound up waiting forever sitting in wet swim suits for our luggage. They ended up having a porter deliver it straight to us from POR after my 3rd complaint about 18 hours after we dropped it off.

Mandy, sorry to hear about your washer. I'm another one that would be at the laundromat. We run about 2-3 loads a day. Between baseball practice clothes and Derek's uniforms plus normal clothes and pajamas we can fill 3 baskets a day.

Hi Danielle, I hope you manage to get the room you're after for after the cruise

Well I've just done some more handwashing, I hope my new one comes soon, cos this is driving me mad

Well Sandy, you're not going to believe this. I put the oven on earlier to get the girls dinner sorted, and I noticed a light in it that I've never noticed before. I open the oven door, to see sparks flying out the back of it. So it looks like we're going to be living on microwave food for a few days too

They say things happen in 3's. Well Becky's DVD player broke at the weekend, then my washer and now my oven - so hopefully that's the end of it

It's a nuisance, but what can you do ?

Oh No Mandy, you have had a rough week! Looks like a great excuse not to cook. We had problems with our oven when we first moved in our house. Even though the oven was brand new, we had to have the computer in it replaced 3 times. It would malfunction and once even caught on fire. I demanded a new one after that--I did before but they wouldn't replace it then. I had put a roast in the oven, went outside to play catch with the boys and heard the fire alarms going off. The oven had gotten so hot, it caught the food on fire, burned a hole through the Calphelon pan and I had to use a fire extinguisher. It was very scary, and happened with in 10 minutes of me putting the roast in. I was really scared to use the same model/brand that was replaced, but it's been fine.

My sister went to Australia last month for 2 weeks and came home to a broken washer and a broken refirgerator. All their food in the freezer had spoiled and a turkey had blown it's insides out. The smell was so bad, they had to sleep with windows open for a few days. Luckily their insurance covered a portion of the new fridge.


Luckily, we are in AKV and then POP before/after our August cruise. The wait list for AKV from OKW is for April 29th. I just added that day over this past weekend. I figured what the heck, it's always nice to be down there for an extra day and it was only $6 more each to change the flights. I just wish I could control tacking on days before and after each trip because I have had to switch hotels a couple of times now from doing it and not being able to stay in one hotel for the entire trip. We never seem to get enough of WDW.

Sandy- we are always busy, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Keeps us from getting bored, that's for sure. Seems like any sport my kids play end up thinking they need practice 5 days a week for 3 hours at a time. When I was a kid, it practice was once a week for an hour. Now everything they play has mulitiple practices for hours on end.

Hi everyone!

Danielle - I am going to High Point, NC (I grew up there - its mostly famous for furniture) to visit my mom then we are going to the mountains to Asheville and Biltmore house. I love the outerbanks (I'm a beach person) but I am making my mom and MIL happy with a trip to the flower festival at Biltmore.

That will be a nice trip. I lived in Camp Lejeune from 1974-79 and we really loved it. I was little, but still remember our house, neighborhood, the base and the beach. When I was in college, my brother was in the Marines and stationed at Cherry Point and we often visited him (my rooommate/now SIL was dating him). It's really a gorgeous state. If Derek and I don't retire to Florida, we'd defintely pick NC. Enjoy yourselves and have a safe drive down!

Morning Bahama Mamas

It's a cold misty morning here. I've got a good day today. I don't need to go to my mums and I'm going to see my friend Natalie, who I met through the DIS, so no doubt we'll be chatting about Disney all morning, and I'll be telling her all about you lot too

I think Paul is coming home at lunch time and we'll go and order a new washer and cooker, and then hopefully I'll have a nice quiet afternoon
