Do any of your daughters have ongoing knee problems? DD13 was a gymnast for 8 years before she started cheering. She complains of knee and wrist issues a lot (eg after tumbling class). Yesterday she started cross country - she's been so looking forward to it - and she said her knees killed her the whole time. I guess we should take her to a specialist, but I fear he'll just say she messed up her knees in gymnastics.
My DD has had pain in her knees after walking, running etc in the past. Is your DD wearing good running shoes? Mine has a problem with flat feet and she insists on walking around in flip flops, Uggs, Nfinitys etc.. just about every shoe that offers NO support for the feet. Not having that good support forced some of the tension up to the knee area. Now that she wears good shoes is is symptom free. I used to get so mad at her because she had the good shoes to use for running/long distance walking but she didn't like the way they "looked"
She would try to run with her Infinity's on!
Follow up with a specialist for sure but I figured I would check in on the shoes to see if I could help. Good Luck!

We are going to do try a couple of private lessons to see if that will help her with her block.
Broke both bones in her forearm, it was NASTY. Dr. said no cartwheels for 3 months after the incident...that puts us more than 1/2 way through the season.
