2007 vs. 2008

OK, I've been reading up on the new 2008 DDP and this is what I've figured out so far:

1. no more appetizers w/ TS meal
2. gratuity no longer included
3. less snack options

Is that basically it? Are those the only changes? What about the cost? Is it the same or more? I am a DVC Member so I won't be purchasing DDP with a package. We did DDP our last trip and LOVED it, but there seem to be such mixed emotions about the new plan now.

What am I missing?

The cost is a little less -- $1 less for those over 10 years old.

The 2007 plan was almost always a great deal. The 2008 plan will be a great deal for some folks.

Yeah, I've got it all figured out now. I agree, the 2007 Plan was a great deal! I think the 2008 plan will be a good deal for us, as well - we'll just have to remember that gratuity! The appetizer thing is no big deal to us. But we sure like having everything pre-paid and being able to choose freely from the menu - and we like to eat! Disney Dining is such a big part of the whole experience for us. We'll be trying the 2008 Plan at Thanksgiving.

All correct, except for the fact that nobody knows for sure about what the deal will be with the snacks yet.
