I thought it was fun to do

When I used to work I always wanted to type a letter like this and give to my boss to sign, but chickened out everytime :rotfl2:

Have a great trip. be safe and have fun. I love hawaii, I really love any vacation!!!!

Good morning everyone! Found us at the bottom of page 2. Just thought I would give us a bump before heading to the airport.

Sorry I didn't get to the website updates but things were a little crazy at work. They are safe in my in-box and I will do the updates when we get home.

Have a great week everyone! We'll have the notebook so we may check in once or twice.
Mark and Mary, have a great time!!! Wish we going to Hawaii, too.

Good morning everyone! Well it is 3:30 in the morning here in Hawaii but we are wide awake!

Had a really great flight! It wasn't 10 hours it was actually 9 1/2. Really though it was very smooth and the time went relatively quickly. They showed 2 movies and we had brought out own movies and our books so it was all good.

The resort is beatutiful! Definately up to Disney stanards. We got an 11th floor ocean view room. Which also means we have a view of the construction site but that's cool. Saw an absolutely beautful sunset last night. I even got to see the famed green flash. Awesome!

Today the plan is just to explore the resort and maybe do some snorkeling. I definately see a nap in my future. :)

Zane_Anthony I read your post over on the main board about choosing between a regular 7 day and the Member Cruise. The only one who can truly make that choice is you as you know what is best for you and your son.

However I did want to say that having been on all 3 Member Cruises I do feel there is something very special about them. What makes them special is the entertainment and guests that DVC brings on. For example last year we got to hear Roy Disney talk about growing up with his Dad and Uncle Walt. We also got to hear a concert by Jennifer Hudson (who may win an Oscar tomorrow night) and Jodi Benson.

Now I will say that the DVC staff had a slightly harder sell during the "On The Nose" game show. I also think that the planning staff missed some details that previous staffs had payed attention to. Of course I'm a big prejudiced as I became friends with one of the planners on SSMC05. It was enough to have many DISers not want to do the '07 cruise but honestly we still feel what makes the DVC cruises different is the guests and entertainment.

Just wanted to give you another view to help you make your decision.

The regular 7 day Eastern is a great cruise (in fact I have one booked for 2008). So you really can't go wrong.

Good luck with your decision.

We sail in 34 weeks!

:confused3
I have a question that I know someone out there can answer for me. We (DH and twin DD) are driving down for the cruise and staying at BWV 2 days before the cruise and then 3 days afterwards.
1) Can we leave our car there and take the shuttle to the ports?
2) Would it be better to drive to the port and park there?
Thanks for any help I can get.

I am sure others will chime in and tell you, but you can't leave your personal car in Disney's parking lots. They will have it towed.

But if you don't have a car, you can take the shuttle to the terminal.

You can also leave your car at the terminal for a nominal fee. I forget the per day fee, but someone will post it. My mind goes blank at times (does that come with age - LOL). I have left my car there many times for the 3, 4, & 7 day cruises and forget how much it was.

HELP NEEDED HERE, PLEZ :rotfl2:

Then again, it is so convenient to have your car there when you disembark the ship.

Port fee is 12.00 per day for parking - and better than the shuttle since you have more control about when you arrive at the port and when you get to your resort. Since the shuttle hits many resorts before going to the port and on the way back "home" also.

Yep, I totally agree with 'ya

Thanks so much for that. I'll put it on my DCL site for reference for me later on.

Some of the people last year were allowed to park while on the cruise, check with the front desk.

Last year when we took the DIS party bus we asked at check-in and since we had a reservation both before and after the cruise they gave us a parking pass for the entire time. Mark parked the car down by the guards gate and told them that it wouldn't be moving and they were fine with it. They don't do it all the time but they did accomodate us and a few others who were staying at Beach Club (we were at Boardwalk).
