2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Hey, you are getting good at the pictures. Good for you.

Yes, I am booked for the Member Cruise with one of my friends.

Yes, two new ships are being built. One in 2011 and one in 2012.

It has been a long time coming. A lot of people are pretty happy about it.

I think one will stay on the west coast and that one will probably go to Alaska. As I understand it, Cape Canaveral has room for one more ship and one will stay in Florida. But time will tell.

Again thanks I think we have it. I forgot to ask you are going on the Members cruise too arn't you. I see Disney is building to new boats. Both will be two decks higher. Can't wait to see them.

No rain here in Ft Lauderdale today. NIce and warm. Our pool is solar heated and the temp is 78 deg.

Cloudy and rainy here. We have solar on our pool too. It's only up to 65. I think we need to move south!!!! My boys are on sping break next week from FSU. One is coming home and one is heady south for warmer weather. His friend is from Sarasota and they are going to hang out at the beach.

As I look the window it snowing.We are due to get 6-12 inches befoer its over tonight.

Glad to see that someone else has Solar.

So many people put in electric and after a while something goes wrong an it cost so much to repair.

I love the solar, I am glad we did it . I am too cheap for gas or electric. We just haven't had enough warm days yet to get it up there.

We had some awful storms yesterday. Tornado's hit a town in Alabama about 1 1/2 hours from here. So far 7 were killed. It hit a High school. It made me cry watching the news and seeing those frantic parents. So send any prayers you have that way and count your blessings.

If you live about 1 1/2 hrs. from Alabama, I know just about where you are.

I do know about the storms in Enterprise, AL. My son owns a house there and I e-mailed my DIL in Hawaii and told her about the storms in case she had not heard as yet.

Our paper this morning said there were 8 deaths now. How horrid.

Of all things to get the blunt of it, a school. I get goose bumps thinking about it.

Yesterday we didn't get any rain, but previous days we did.

Hope you are OK today and the weekend.

Wow, do you know where Cribstone Bridge is? My DD's preschool teacher has family up there and they own a house that is in the actually shown on the postcard.

Good morning Joan

Just got on and was you question about the Cribstone Bridge. Well that is located in Baliey Island which is about 15 miles South of Brunswick on the ocean. If you saw it on TV last year the did a Visa Card commerical about Cooks Lobster House which is on Baiely's Island. The bridge Joan seperates Baiely's and Orrs Island. From Brunswick going toward the ocean you go Great Island over a bridge to Orrs then over the Cribstone Bridge toy Baiely's Island. From ther you come to what is call Lands End and your looking right out at the ocean. Hope that helps Joan.

Hi Sandy! Welcome aboard! The info about the web page and spreadsheet can be found in the very first post. My DH and I have set up a web page for the past couple of Member Cruises (and some other cruises we have been on) as a way to keep all in the information in one place and also a way for us all to get to know each other (share pictures etc.).

When you get to the website there is an area that talks about the Member Gallery and buttons and where to write me and what infomation we need (let me know if you can't find it).

As for the buttons. We do them as a way for DISers to know each other on the ship. We wear ours almost all the time (since on the Member Cruise we are usually given a special lanyard we just pin them on that). Mark is a little hard of hearing so meeting people in a large gathering is hard and we are both pretty good with faces but bad with names. So it is all about getting to know each other. Hope that explains it all.

I look forward to getting your info and to meeting you in October!
