Just curious.. I got my cruise docs today, and included is the standard "entering the Bahamas" form that you get when going to Nassau.

Since we're not going to Nassau, is that needed for Castaway Cay?

(Yet another thing I'll change when I'm King!)

It's needed not only for Castaway Cay, but for the ship. We were told by a cast memeber once, that since the ship is registered in the Bahamas, you are technically entering their country when going on the ship. Someone in line ahead of us in 04 asked this question since our cruise wasn't going to be going to CC. The forms still had to be completed.

Cool that you got your docs, maybe our TA will have ours soon. Really didn't expect them until next week.

Yeah, they shipped them UPS three day shipping. I was surprised they sent them that way, as they were leaning against the front door of my house when I got home.

Hello everyone! We'll be on the cruise as well. It's been quite some time since I've been to the boards and I just found the thread today. We did a land and sea adventure for our honeymoon in 2004 and this time we'll be cruising with our 15 month old little girl as well as my parents and my wife's parents. We can't wait to get out to sea!

Hopefully our TA will be calling this weekend or first thing next week. We've done the whole on line check in thing, but the docs make it feel that much more real.

I'm outof town so I don't know if ours came yet or not... I'll have to ask DH. Maybe he'll need to check the front door since people are talking about them arriving via Fed EX or UPS.

Holly, how did the last final go?! It was today, right? You've been offline for 2 whole days- I hope it was just for studying

I flew into Chicago today, and the only difference I saw was that it took FOREVER to get our luggage! So- if there is still a ban on liquids when you all start flying in, allow plenty of time to get your bags. When you think about it, I wonder if the cargo hold is even big enough for all the bags if everyone pretty much has to check their bags. I am seriously contemplating shipping my lotion, etc. home so I don't have to wait for my bag when I go home Sunday night. The baggage crews are probably not equipped to handle all the extra luggage- at least I'm assuming that's why it took so long.

3 weeks from tomorrow!!!! I'm bursting with excitement!

For those of you flying, if you do not want to hassle with bringing your suntan lotion in your checked luggage, there is a Wal-mart only a few miles from the port. We found it the first time we went on the cruise in 2001.

Also, for all first time cruisers, if you like bottled water, take a case with you. We did that last year. We stopped at the Wal-mart, bought a case of water, and put it in our luggage. It was a whole lot cheaper than buying a case of bottled water on the ship.

For everyone who has a digital camera and a camcorder take some disposable cameras. We took the water proof disposal cameras that you can take in the water. Then when we went on excusions involving going on a catamaran or other place the camera might get wet or drop in the water, I took those disposal cameras. I then did not stress out about whether I was going to ruin or lose my digital camera while out.

Thanks a ton to everybody who wished me good luck and to all who wondered how exams went! BIG, big thanks! I did buckle down to study the past couple of days. If fact, I studied all day yesterday and kept falling asleep if I studied longer than about 20 minutes. Ummm....I think that means I finally burned myself out! All things considered, I think the exams went well. What a relief that it's all done for a few weeks. Now I can concentrate ONLY on the cruise!

Courtney: I love Chicago too! I'm originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan and used to drive there for the weekend whenever I had time because it was only a 2 1/2 hour drive. LOVE the Navy Pier! In fact, I even applied to University of Chicago Law School (with no luck). Anyway, I hope you're having a great time in Chicago! Is Grandma's birthday party tomorrow?

Brian: Believe me, I'm trying hard to scrounge up the dough to buy my books ahead of time so I can get all my homework done before the cruise. I think it's gonna work!

I'm SO excited for everybody who got their docs! It's getting closer!

Wow school starting already!! Our kids school starts late by most standards. They won't start until the 13th of Sept. It does mean a part of June is given up though. We haven't seen documents yet , but are looking forward to that.

And how about reviewing all those sample exercises on RAP! I'm going to hang on to my property book in case I ever end up developing insomnia. It's a sure cure!

One of the schools in our district (the one I'm considering putting my son in next year) started this week too. They go through mid-June, but have extra breaks throughout the year. I like that idea because it cuts day care costs in the summer. And with less time off in the summer, kids won't forget as much while they're off. Also, it seems like it would be easier to get them back in the habit of getting up early for school again if they haven't been off all summer. Just seems like a good deal all around. Best of all, they have a whole week off in January, which makes a great time to go on a cruise!

You guys are cracking me up! I can't think of any funny uses....my brain is OFFICIALLY done working until after the cruise! I'm sure my employer would love to hear that.
