Always remember----the key to passing exams is to keep breathing. If you stop breathing, you pass out and the ability to continue answering the question goes out the window while you are passed out. And, in law school, most of your classmates would leave you on the floor passed out.

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: Gee...I thought that after you graduate from law school and pass the bar, it is mandatory to lose your sense of humor. Thanks for proving me wrong!

Hey, is it time to cruise yet? ALMOST!! :dogdance:

I can't believe the cruise is only a few weeks away. All of the tips are so helpful. I have purchased most of the items recommended- sharpies, expandable hampers. Questions for past cruisers:
1-What should I use to protect my ktty, money, etc. esp. on excursions?
2-Pillow case vs. tshirt for autographs.
Hopefully the next couple of weeks will go by fast. I have not told my kids yet,dd5 ds8. one of the hardest secrets i have ever kept. trying to decide if I should tell them with postcard or put them in car and show up at hotel near port. Regardless I can't wait to see their faces. Thanks fo rall the great tips! :cool1: pirate:

Holly, I forgot to give you congrats on getting through your exams. Glad the final went well. Tr y and get some rest. :thumbsup2

felkos: Regarding pillow cases v. t-shirts for autographs, I would recommend pillow cases because your kids will outgrow the t-shirts, so they'll be able to use pillow cases longer. Just my opinion though....it really depends on what you think your kids would like best. Mine would probably like a t-shirt better so he can wear it all the time to show everybody! :teeth:

Thanks! I appreciate it! I probably won't be sleeping until after I take my other one on Friday. After some much needed sleep, I'll be able to TOTALLY focus on the cruise! :woohoo:

Hey, has the upgrade fairy visited anybody? No luck here...just wondering about everybody else. Guess I should be worrying about other subjects right now....GOOD GRIEF, I'm a lost cause!

So sorry to have become that annoying person who overtakes the boards! Didn't mean to, but my excitement is overwhelming!

Has anybody ever done BOB at St. Thomas? http://www.bobunderwateradventure.com
I don't want to try to book it for this cruise, since it's over 3 hours and I can't imagine leaving Tyler onboard without me for that length of time, but I'm considering doing it on my January cruise without him. Just looking to hear some personal accounts of it and whether it's as cool as it looks.

Thanks!

Speaking of upgrades, I know that you can try to get an upgrade when you check in for the cruise, but is there any other way to try to get an upgrade before the cruise? :wave2:

Btw, based on personal experience, this is about what Holly will look like at the end of her last exam. :surfweb: or this  but definitely this :)

A group of us did a four nighter in January, and two sisters in our group took their five year olds. They didn't tell them ANYTHING until they saw the ship! The told them they were going on a business trip, and they could come along. The got on the plane, flew into Orlando and caught the bus, which started their suspicions. They also had waiting for them one of those gift packs you can buy in the documentation they send you.

She said the same thing. Hardest secret she ever kept.

Yup, it's law school. Yup, I'm done with the semester this week. HOWEVER, the next semester starts the week of the cruise! Since I'll be missing the first week of class (I know, not a good thing to do), I'll still be lugging those books with me on the cruise so I can stay caught up. :guilty: But what better place to do schoolwork?! :goodvibes

So, you can't concentrate on studying right before finals 3.5 weeks before the cruise begins, but you're going to be able to study on the cruise itself?! :rotfl: Good luck with that! Do law school texts make more sense after a couple of drinks? :)

I am SO excited because I found out recently I won't have to work on the cruise! The project start date was delayed until 9/11. :woohoo:

I can't believe someone could keep a secret like that- you are amazing! I NEVER could have done it in a million years. I tried keeping the pillow cases and door sign designs secret but once i saw how cute they were i couldn't do it- I had to show them!

One other idea for signing, and I think i might wish i'd done this instead of pillow cases- one friend told me she got a big photo mat to have signed and she'll get a pic of the family on the cruise to put in it.

Would it be greedy to do a pillow case per child plus the photo mat? I don't want to ask for too much, but I'd really like to have the photo mat for myself.

I was going to surprise my wife with the Med Cruise on Christmas morning at Old Key West. I booked it the first day, and had elaborate plans to make the presentation. I gave in though, as she had knee surgery about six weeks ago and I felt she needed to know about it. For me, I thought keeping it secret for a few MONTHS was a coup!!

I managed to pull off "the keep it from the kids" for one WDW vacation. Then DW blew it the morning of departure. But they were very surprised non the less. As for taking work on vacation...A cruise is the one place where the BlackBerry does not work. That is why I am taking another one, to get away from the constant work.

Looking forward to meeting all in a few weeks.

I've made several calls out and thought I'd try again. Is there any Dis'ers out there on the ship with us? I'm starting to think we're going to have it all to ourselves!!!
I guess that you won't have the ship to yourselves, it's come a long way since March of 2005!!

Hmmm....a couple of drinks before studying...uh oh...look what you started! :lmao: I hope I don't end up dropping those books overboard! :teeth:

GREAT NEWS that you won't have to work on the cruise!

I agree with Courtney, there's no way I could keep a cruise secret either! I'd like to try it next year, just to see the excitement on Tyler's face, but doubt I'd keep my mouth shut very long. We did a last minute trip to Orlando the end of May because Spirit Air had a bunch of $8 fares. Too great to pass up. I managed to keep that a secret from him for his birthday gift, but it about killed me. And that was only 4 weeks I had to struggle to keep it to myself! I just told him that morning that we were going somewhere and that it was a surprise. When we got to the airport, he excitedly asked, "Are we going on our cruise today?!" He was still excited and had a blast despite it not being a cruise! :teeth:

Courtney: My hubby said he would talk with your hubby about the judo work out. :smooth: He is currently working on a form of Karate(Pi Lum) that is a low to the ground form and believes that working out with your hubby could help him too. Maybe they will work it out at the cruise meet... :confused3

Holly: Congrats on your final. Good luck with the one on Friday. Don't bring too many books on the cruise. I found that I bring them, but they end up staying in the suitcase or on the dresser and NEVER touched. :ssst:
