20060902--Eastern Sept 2nd, 2006

Hi Mary...

Enjoy Alaska!! You will have a great time! We had friends do it two summers ago, with two daughters. They ALL loved it! :thumbsup2

We have talked about booking another line in a couple of years after the Med. Just to see. We will have three teens in '08...so RCCL might work well for us, at least once.

What line will you be on???

Hi Ginny, Holly, and all the other cruisers on the 2 Sep Eastern:wave2: !

I'm re-joining the thread. I had been booked on this cruise but had to abandon it due to a work scheduling conflict. Now, the conflict is resolved and I'm booked once again! Looking forward to chatting with everyone and meeting you all onboard!

Monstro, I'll e-mail a personal photo, I'm a 51 y/o single cruiser and I'll be on deck 7, #7604. I'll try to ship you some photos from last year's cruise - I think I've got some laying around the house, but they're the old-fashioned prints so I'll have to scan them in - can't vouch for the photo quality:rolleyes1 .

Welcome back Bill!

Monstro, I also am trying to send you a couple photos for our group album. One is of my little guy Tyler (age 3 in the pics, will be 4 on this cruise) and the other is both of us. I e-mailed you a link from Kodak Gallery where they're stored, so I hope that will work. Hmmmm....maybe we can also use this as a way for single parents to meet? I know, not many of those on a Disney cruise, but it's worth a try! :smooth:

If everybody else's kids are driving you nuts with anticipation, I'm right there with you! :hyper: About twice a week Tyler asks me "Are we going on our Disney cruise today?" I wish!

Thanks. He's actually my wife's. She wanted him for her birthday a few years back. Prior to that I was not a lap dog person - I even fought getting a dog (I offered her a sizable diamond upgrade in stead), but his personality has won me over. He's so fun.

Here's some more pictures of him (for anyone that wants to see)

Holly,

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I hope more people will. It helps to get to know people's names with faces before the cruise.

ugarxdawg - can I put one of the many pictures i have of your family up?

Sure you can. Pick out a good one.

Hey Monstro.
DeAnne and I went on a 4 day RC cruise last week with some friends from school. It was a joke compared to the 4 day Disney Wonder cruise we did in Jan. The rooms were about 1/2 the size. The food was not as good. And the entertainment was not even close. I am ready for Disney so I can get that other cruise out of my mind.

This is our first disney cruise (sad, since we live in orlando)!......It will be me and DH, DD 4 and DS 2. I hope all goes well, as the kids can be high maintenance when they miss their afternoon 2 hr nap!!!! :bounce:
My DD will love to meet your kids in the Oceaner's club--just drop me a line and I will tell her all about your kids!
I do have two questions though, what is a passporter? And when is Pirate night?!

Hi there,
We live in Melbourne so not too far from you and DD is 4 (bday in Feb). It would be great if our girls could hook up on board- my son will have a friend on board and Maggie will be so happy if she knows someone else, even if she doens't really know her =). If i can figure out how to send you a Personal Message i'll send you my email and maybe we can swap photos/names etc. so the girls will feel like there's someone on board they can hang out in the kids' club with. Let me know what you think- and if you know how to send a PM and want to send me your email, that would be great.

Oh, unless things have changed, pirate night is Tuesday, St. Maarten night.

thanks!

Courtney

Hope all are having a great week! We are getting closer and closer!!!
Anybody else ready for a Castaway Cay fix???

:tink:

I couldn't be more ready!!! Excursion confussion is setting in. When to go to Palo? What to reserve for the spa? Only a couple of weeks to decide, I guess it's time to ask my wife, since she will ultimately decide anyhow.

Hey Joshua...

is it just you and your wife??? We save our September cruises for just the two of us!!! DH and I like doing Palo on Saturday night! We probably won't do too many excursions but will definitely do the couple's villa spa!!! We did it at Christmas and it is worth every penny!!!!

Get planning!!! By the way, nice talking with you!!!

Tomspixie,

I am coming with DW, DS4, DS3, DD1, DMIL, DFIL. A whole crew, but with the kids grandparents along, we are planning on a little couple time here and there. We really are getting excited as it gets close. What is the best dining rotation for the Eastern? Looking forward to seeing you all in person.

So if I am counting correctly, there are over 100 of us. We should really all meet for lunch or something. Any Ideas??

Hi there,
what's a couple's villa spa?? Is that the new name for that thing where you get a room with the various muds and lotions, or something else?

thanks!

Oh- One other thing- what is it about Sat. night that you like for Palo? I hadn't considered b/c I don't neccessarily want to miss a 'regular rotation'. Or have you been on the ship enough that the reg. rotation is 'been there done that' for you and you don't mind missing it?

Anyone else have thoughts on Palo night?

thanks!

Courtney

I'm also looking for recommendations for which night to dine at Palo. I'm considering Pirate night. I'm not too into the pirate theme and the menus for Pirate night don't appeal to me as much as the menus for the other nights. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!

Hey Gang! I am getting so excited about our upcoming cruise! I just found out today we are on deck 6 and that we have late dinner seating.I asked for early seating can anyone tell me the disadvantages of having late? We have 2 children dd12 and ds7 I think they would be ok with eating late. Also we are going down a few days earlier to spend my dd birthday at DisneyWorld then driving to the Radisson at the port the night before is anyone else staying there?
