Has anyone heard whether the price of tickets will change next year and whether or not the "Magic Your Way" tickets will still be available in '06---the DH and I find it more economical to by the 10 day Park Hopper/No Expiration, due to job constraints, we aren't able to go more than once a year right now, hopefully that will change!! Once a year isn't enough---'05 was the first time in 3 years that we didn't get to go at Christmas----missed it terribly!

no - but ticketmania seems to think it will in Jan.

so otherwords - get your tickets NOW.

Mousesavers says they're going up in the first week of Jan. :confused3 Seems like it's a good time to buy now and spend the extra on the non-expiration, but it's so hard to tell. We were just debating whether to buy our annual pass early. . .

I'm close enough to drive to WDW, thank goodness. Good luck to those going and finding a decent fare.

As a DVC member we just get a discount on the AP not MYW tickets right?
10 day park hopper/water park/no expiration seems like the best deal. Since we only get down once a year that might last us 3 years.

Yes, that is correct. Members do get discounts on individual admissions to the wateparks & DQ - IIRC, that is about $4 on an adult ticket.

Best wishes -

Can anyone confirm that DVC members still get $120/adult per AP and $100/child per AP?

We will probably renew our PAPs this April to receive the discounts.

I figured that at the current 2005 cost, it would cost me $131.47 to get three AP passes instead of a 10 day (everything) ticket. For that, I would like the freedom of knowing I can go as many times as I wish within the year.

So far, on our 2005 tickets we used the AP 15 times. For us, PAPs are worth it.

There has been no change in the DVC discount on AP/PAP. Prices presently have not changed since January, 2005.

With the DVC discount (including 6.5% sales tax), prices are $314.18 for adults and $353.58 for children for an AP. AP renewals are $298.20/$253.47.
PAPs are $415.35/$353.58 and $394.05/$335.48 for renewals.

Enjoy!

Ticket prices do go up tomorrow.

Someone just posted that AP's were up to $515!!! But I can't find that on Disney.com to confirm! FALSE ALARM. The poster was comparing PAPs to APs WHEW! I expect an increase but not that big LOL!

Can any long time AP holders help me with this question please?

Based on AP price history if the price of APs increase tomorrow with the MYW tickets, when it comes time to renew current APs should the renewal price be based on the price paid for the current AP (adult AP w/ DVC discount renewal = $280 based on DVC Member web site) or based on the new price? We're trying to figure out if it's better to buy AP vouchers today before the price increase or wait until our renewal.

Thanks for any help!

Renewal will be based on the NEW price.

Hi WebmasterDoc :wave2:
I think with the DVC discount (including the sales tax), the price of an AP for a child is $267.32. (You accidentally put in the child's price for a PAP instead).

Anyway, have a nice day! :sunny:

As of today, Ticketmania has updated their website with the 2006 ticket prices. They list the gate prices as well as their discounted prices for each ticket type.

I called Disney earlier today to inquire on ticket prices and the lady said I was doing a smart thing by purchasing today beacuse prices go up tomorrow, Jan 01. I purchased 3 adult(10 and up) and one child (3-9) with no expiration and park hopper features / 10 days for a total of $1,375.79.

The 5 day ticket was an increase of something like $12.00. I can't remember exactly what the increase was for my 10 day tickets, but a small savings now can add up to a larger savings later. We plan to go for 5 days in June and the other 5 days in '07. So with DVC membership and our tickets purchased for the next to seasons, we are all set! YEAH!!!

Ticket brokers have already made the switch to the new prices. Looks like the increase is about 5%.

Since the brokers don't sell AP's we will have to wait until tomorrow to see if they go up.

The new annual pass rates are posted on another site....the rate for new is ~$335 and for renewal ~$320...up $20 and $25 after taking our DVC discounts into account.

Thanks for posting that!

Anyone know if we currently have an AP if the renewal price will be based on what we paid or based on the current AP price?

$100 off a regular AP and $125 off PAP (assuming this didn't change either).
