I'm going to Disney.

Friday night as I was getting ready to turn my computer off for the night an e-mail came in from Spirit with cheap airfares. Cheap as in $3 each way. So I booked a flight for 4 nights. Leaving this Thursday and coming home Monday.

I'm going by myself since Deanna is just starting back to school on Tuesday and John has something scheduled with a client that he can't change. My sister will come down from Jacksonville to visit.

Good job Gail, if Ann Marie finds out I am dead. She wanted to book that same air fare Thursday to Sunday for our anniversary but I held her back since we are already booked for November and January.

Gail that was supposed to be my trip. I had that ready to book on Friday too and then I made the mistake of asking Tom. I figured we could go for our anniversary for really cheap. Next time I am just going to book it and go with or without him. That really is a great rate and have fun.

That's what happened to me earlier in the week. There was a fare that was $12 each way for Saturday to Tuesday. I waited until John got home and by that time it was gone. I told him if another one comes up I'm booking it and if he decides he'd like to go we'll see if the fare is still available.

It's going to cost me more to drive to the airport than the whole flight to Orlando.

I'm off to WDW for the weekend.

I have plans for dinner on Sunday with Jeff, Cheryl and Diana. I can't wait to see everyone.

Isn't that the truth?!? And.....I suspect someone will be watching our winter weather and rubbing it in that she is no longer going to have to suffer through it! I hope all is going well for the new-Florida residents!

Maui was wonderful! Very relaxing!!! I have to say I am not sure I would travel to Hawaii in August again. Very hot and even humid. DH and I ended up with a couple of lifetime souveniers! We both got new tattoos while we were over in Maui and mine is a little bit of Disney mixed in with a little Maui! I will see if DH can help me post a photo this weekend.

Gail - have a great time! I just got home from WDW and it was not crowded at all - guess it's like that when the kiddies go back to school - never saw MK Main Street with so few people. It was a very short trip after bringing back the Magic but a lot of fun too!

Roxann, it sounds like you had a wonderful trip.

Mary, I remember after the 2005 member cruise how empty the parks were. It was this same week and we felt guilty getting off the rides when they ended because no one was in line waiting. That certainly doesn't happen every day. IIRC, by the time we did get off of BTMRR, we felt like we were still riding it.

I have been a BAD group member. This is such a busy month for us that here it is the 7th and this is the FIRST time I have been on the Dis this month.

Steve - I think all of us have been a bit busy with our "real lives" - not to worry. Heck, I run away for a new trip here or there whenever I get the chance and I'll be leaving again at the end of the month. It's nice to see you check in tho!

Hi everyone...How's everyone doing? I have been a little crazy lately, But a big chunk is now over, and I can start to relax a little. Our office has successfully moved, seen 2 days worth the patients, and been successful!!! No broken equipment, no mishaps, just a few lost patients. Now I just have to finish packing for our cruise.

OK...Let me vent a little about AirTran, Don't ever fly with them. We had a nonstop flight that was booked in May for Sept. 14 at 6pm. Figured the kids could get a full day school, I could work most of the day, and then we head over to the airport. Well, we got an email in July that they adjusted our flight time to 3:30pm, so we said, ok, the kids will go half a day, I will work until 1, and so on. Well then we received another email about 2 weeks later saying the flight had been changed again to 3pm. I thought oh well its only 30 min, we will adjust our plans easily with this. Well, yesterday, I decided that I should make sure our flight time was still the same, I go to Airtran's site, and log in, and look at the flight, and guess what, they moved our flight again, to 12:30. I was furious, now we wasted the whole day, we land at 4pm, we will be driving in rush hour traffic to the port. I said no way, and looked for another nonstop flight earlier in the day, they have one at 8am, so I called Airtran, and asked for the 8am flight due to them changing our flight times so many times, the girl I spoke with was very helpful, and was able to get us on that flight at no charge, and reassign our seats. So now we are going down almost a full day earlier than we planned. But we wont be rushing! I'm just happy that they were able to get us on the earlier flight at no charge.
