2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006

Morning!

1st day of school in our house. It's going to be SO quiet around here, I'm going to miss the kids. I'll worry that Cameron's in a new school and hopefully meeting up with some friends, although it seemed most of them were on a different team. And, I'll worry that Walker is getting himself into trouble on the first day or won't remember to brush the gunk out his new braces after lunch. And then tonight, homework!

I'm not sure how we're going to fit that into our already crazy schedule. Walker has football practice on Monday & Wednesday, soccer on Tuesday & Thursday, football games on Saturday, soccer games on Sunday, Cub Scouts one alternating Wednesday. Cameron has cross country on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, cross country meets in there as well, and Boy Scouts on Monday. I guess he gets off a little easier. Oh, yeah, and band in there some place as well as those weekends away camping with the Scouts. Cameron also wants to start working with his baseball trainer. I can't wait to figure out how to fit that in as well. But in all honesty, I wouldn't trade a second of it for anything.


I wish they were already on their way home instead of on their way to school soon. Cameron's leaving here in less than a 1/2 hour, walking there with friends. Walker's bus comes around 8:15 so I'm sure he'll be attempting to head out the door by 7:45 to be first in line.

Hope the boys have a great 1st day of school! Things sound incredibly hectic for you! Hopefully it will all go smoothly. And don't worry about Cameron making friends...hes a very friendly boy, I'm sure he'll meetlots of great new friends. I can't beleive the amount of schools that are starting early and early...My girls don't start until Monday, and thats only half a day.

Morning!
1st day of school in our house.

I almost wish. We still have 2 weeks until the first day of school here. Nick is going to have som fun before school starts though. He heads to Florida next week with my parents. A few days at Vero & a few days in Disney then back to school.
We still didn't get anything from the school saying who his homeroom teacher is or his "official" supply list. I swear they wait until the last minute.

It will really be bad next year when we are on the repo cruise since at this time next year we will be on the ship and we will be getting home like the day before school starts. That will be fun.

Our kids get their supply list on the first day of school. Makes it fun trying to get the supplies since the other district near here sends their's out much earlier. I usually just stock up on the basics - folders, paper, pens, poster board, index cards, colored pencils etc... I guess they really don't ask for the kids to have too much except this is the grade that they normally ask for the kids to have the calculator that cost $98. I think I'll go and hound my 3 older ones and see if they still have theirs.

Deanna has 12 days before she goes back. This summer really went by fast!

We're going to leave tomorrow to go camping for the weekend.

Haven't posted for awhile (always lurking though )

We leave for Maui on Monday!!!! YEAH!!!!

A little cleaning, laundry, packing, dog to the groomer, VBS for DD, pedicure for me and we're off!

For anyone interested: The iPhone is awesome! It is like a mini computer. I will see how well it works in Maui! As long as I can check my email every day or two I am set! No more packing a laptop on the airplane for me!

Anyone been to Vero for Easter? Do they have an easter egg hunt for the kids? I thought I read that somewhere. Does Shutters have a good easter breakfast?

I probably won't post until after we return so have a great weekend everyone! Happy first day of school to those going back before Labor Day!

Well it looks like Karen's birthday brought us all out. Hi everyone. I have been reading on and off as it has been a very busy summer for us. It seems like there is something every day to do. My girls started school last week and it is going well. We have two trips to Disney to look forward to. We are going Nov 28 that includes a 4 night on the Wonder and Jan 23 for the girls gym meet. Marc and Michael are going to be on the cruise with us again. Can't wait.

Roxann have a great time on your trip. It sounds like so much fun. I would love an iPhone but I don't like the price. I finally broke down and bought a lap top that I am trying to get used to using. Tell Kiele that the girls say hi.

Gail my girls want to know how Deanna is doing and how is soccer is going this year. They both say hi.

To everyone else hi. I need to get caught up. We went to a Tigers game with Curt and Karen and had a great time. Karen filled me in on everything I missed.
