Thanks Jeff! I was able to get AKL for $164 a night for my May trip!! It's awesome because that's where we stayed for our wedding trip and we'll be celebrating our 5th anniversary. Not to mention Mother's Day brunch at BOMA is like heaven on earth!

We're point-poor so we're conserving. We'll be at BCV from Sun-Thurs in a 1BR and then Fri/Sat night at AKL. We're going house hunting on that Friday so my plan was going to be to find a cheap-o cash room for the weekend, but when I saw the rate for AKL, I couldn't pass it up or think about the 4 of us in one of those All Star rooms!!

I Did! I Did!! I couldnt pass it up! I wanted the lime green ones, but the didnt have them in a size 3, so I got the blue ones! They will still be well used!

Hey Everyone. I've finally had a chance to check in - now you won't have to have Steve whinning about where I'm at

We drove straight through and got into the area about 7:30 AM. First stop was to get the car washed - I just couldn't stand to look at the white streaks on my car any longer. We got to SSR by 8 AM and our room was ready. We unpacked the car and met Carol, Joe and their granddaughter Sarah at McDonalds for a quick bite to eat. They went on to the park and we went to Wal Mart for food. Got back to the room, put the groceries away and went to bed. We didn't get up until sometime after 5 PM - I think we were tired. Sorry Tina for not calling in the afternoon, but we were just a bit tired and I didn't think you guys would be up for the pool with as cold as it was.

Dinner Sunday evening was great and just as Jeff, Amy and Cheryl described. The food was great and it was really nice to see everyone again.

We got a call from my daughter Dawn that she received an e-mail from Duke University offering her a postion in their program. Now she has to decide whether to choose Duke or Univ of Florida. I have a feeling Duke will win out by a slight margin. I'm doing my best not to give my opinion as to what she should do - this needs to be all her decision.

This trip has been very relaxing - we actually have not gone to any park (other than going to dinner Sunday night). Tuesday we went to the Community Hall and made ice cream - I never realized that making ice cream was going to be such a work out. Wednesday we drove up to my parents and spent the afternoon/evening with them. They only come up to Michigan from May to September and live in Florida the rest of the year, so it was nice to see them. Today we are either going to Typhoon Lagoon or going to rent the water mice. Wow, do you know how nice 70 degrees feels??? I'm not sure I'm ready to go back home.

I think this catches me up so far. I will probably check in again tomorrow evening before our 24 hrs is up on our internet service. We leave sometime on Saturday for the drive back.

John's standing out on our balcony listening to the music from PI - I think he's pretending that he's there He's been a bit relaxed the past couple of days - I think he misses his sidekick Chris!

What kind of a time change is it going there? I remember being up really early in the morning when we went, but that was so long ago. Watch out for streakers on the beach, that's when I saw my one and only. I turned around to get my sister to come and look at the sunrise with me, turned back towards the beach, and there HE was. I was only like 13, so it was quite a sight.

Mary - have fun in Hawaii!! It really is a beautiful place, and I can't wait to take Chris and the girls someday. I've been twice before, once as a young teenager on Oahu and once with my mom after I graduated college on Maui. Both were completely different experiences, but definitely unique vacations and the beauty is amazing!!!
