Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Walker. I can't believe my "baby" is 7. :sad1:

Good Morning ! I thought I would just stop in and say hi since I was up saving lives this morning.
I worked on my Fishing trip scrapbook yesterday. 13 pages completed in between calls!
8 hrs at the Fire Dept today and tomorrow then back on the bulance for 24 hrs on Weds! Oh the fun just never ends:cool1:

Stay safe out there!

Squid

13 pages!!! :dance3: :dance3: Way to go!!!

My goal is to work on a Boy Scout album for Cameron. It's been 1 year since he crossed over and if I don't get to it soon, we'll be on the horizon for another year gone. I have all of the items, paper, album, pictures, it's just a matter of sitting down and doing it. I started yesterday but then Gary called from the ER to be picked up. Official diagnosis, rib contusions, thankfully nothing was broken from our sledding trip yesterday morning. I could see the pain in him as he tried to move, so I'm glad that he went and had them xrayed. You never know when it could actually be a spleen or something damaged in there....thanks Diana for putting that first and foremost in my mind. ;)

I used winkflash for the 225, but I also got some pics printed through snapfish and I'm much happier with the quality of the snapfish ones. I'm not about to reprint 225 pics though. At the time there was a code for 100 free winkflash prints, then another time there was a 50 free print code, so it literally cost me like $3.00 for the 225 prints.

There's lots of codes out there, so never pay full price! :teacher:

I used winkflash too with the 50 free print code. I thought the prints were okay. Next time I'll try snapfish....thanks, Diana.

party: Happy Birthday George and Abe! party:

For a minute there, when I first saw this, I was thinking, who are George and Abe and how did I miss them posting on this thread all this time. :lmao:

LOL ME TOO CINDY!

Glad to hear Gary is ok - how scary!!!

Diana thanks for your opinion on winkflash... i'm off to find somewhere to print photos - I do love snapfish!

Since I've been without Internet access all weekend (darn verizon:mad: ) and noone else has posted, I'll give the lowdown from dinner.

I met up with Gail, John, Deanna, Carol, Joe, Sarah, Amy, Chris, Emily and Madison at Gail's room at SSR around 6PM. The men went for kid food (MickeyD's) and I met up with them in the parking lot as they were leaving then went to the room to meet the ladies. It was nice seeing all the kids getting along so good, they were coloring. Then, the food came and after getting them setup with food the rest of us left except Carol and Joe. I'm not sure where they went but they did go out somewhere.

It was an eventful ride over to the Boardwalk with John taking pictures of everything including the sunset thru the sunroof. Next stop was Rose and Crown for a beer. That took longer than expected because with each DDE card presented a manager must come out and key it in to give the discount.

We arrived about 7:35, about 5 minutes late, and Todd and Cheryl were there waiting. We checked in and were told it would be past our PS time of 7:50 before we were seated. By my watch it was 7:55 when we were seated.

Dinner was excellent with lots of breadsticks to start. Appetizers were Canadian Cheddar Cheese soups for all except Cheryl who went with a field greens salad. Main courses were strip steak for Todd and myself with cream cheese mashed potatoes, free range chicken with yukon gold potatoes for Cheryl and what looked like filet mignon with risotto for Amy, Chris, John and Gail. Desserts were chocolate on chocolate lava cake for Gail and John, double blueberry tart for Chris, sorbet for Cheryl and sugar free citrus mouse for myself. Amy and Todd did not order dessert. We stayed and chatted until just before 10PM. Epcot was a ghost town when we walked out and we parted with Todd and Cheryl then since they were parked at the front of Epcot and we were parked at the Boardwalk. John took lots of pictures on the walk back of both Epcot and the Epcot resorts.

The drive back was less eventful with John blinding everyone with his flash and taking pictures of the DVC sign across from the Bonnet Creek resort. When we got back to SSR, Chris drove us over to the new themed pool and John took pictures of that while the rest of us stayed in the warm SUV. Then we took a wrong turn to get back to the room and ended up where they store the DVC transportation vehicles and John took some more pictures.

When we entered the room, Emily was up watching Madagascar and Deanna woke up when we opened the door, Madison was out for the night. After talking for about 20 minutes, Amy, Chris, the girls and I headed out for the drive home.

It was great seeing everyone and I can't wait for the next dinner!:cool1:

Happy Birthday walker.

Sorry I didn't post, I was sleeping. My day started at 7am yesterday and ran until 10 pm last night. I'll post more later when I'm more awake.

Great recap Jeff - thanks for sharing! Sounds like everyone had a great time. LeCellier is one of our favorites. Yum!

Cindy - sorry to hear that Gary ended up in the ER. Glad to hear he's ok!

Great recap of our evening, Jeff!!!

I will elaborate on my days' events. We woke up early Sunday morning and after taking a shower, we realize that the shower and toilet aren't draining!! So, Chris being the handy guy that he is, tries to fix it. No luck! He goes to Home Depot to get a snake and brings it home and uses it to no avail. And, as many of you may remember, we have 2 bathrooms, but our master is STILL under construction from being gutted last year, so we only have one usable bathroom. Well, that one usable bathroom is no longer usable!!!

So, I call Gail a little before 9am to tell her that we're having plumbing issues, and I'm not sure when we're going to be able to leave. Chris relents and tells me to call the plumber (thank goodness for Mr. Rooter, who is open on Sundays and doesn't charge "extra"). They tell us that they can't get there until between 1pm and 4pm, and Chris says ok and I'm thinking no WDW in our future. Chris and I talk and we decide to just call them back and have them come first thing in the morning and we'll just go to WDW. Well, they call back while we're making this decision and say they had a cancellation and can be there in 30 minutes. So, we say OK.

The guy shows up almost an hour later and gets to work. They take the toilet off and find roots already growing right there between the concrete (not a good sign!!!). He tries to snake it with his industrial snake and after about 5 tries can't get it to go through and says that he needs to get a camera, but his is broken. He can't come back until the next morning at 9am. So, we have no bathroom, but we're off to WDW at a little after 1pm.

Are you still with me?????

So, we get to WDW with no incidents and meet Gail, John & Deanna in their room. The girls are having a BLAST playing with Deanna and they decide to go play on the playground by the pool at Saratoga (near Congress Park area). Chris & John go out there too. Then, Carol, Joe & little Sarah come over and Joe and Sarah went to join the guys and the girls at the playground.

That's where Jeff's story comes in...and I have to say that dinner was quite entertaining with John & Chris. They were in typical form and it was absolutely hysterical!!! We really had a great time at dinner!!!

Then, after we left WDW, we realized how absolutely tired we were and ended up stopping at the rest area on I-4 and rested for about 1.5 - 2 hours. Finally, we were back on the road at about 2am and feeling refreshed. Then, we got to outside of Tampa and Chris started to get tired again, so we switched places and drove the rest of the way home (of course stopping right before home to go potty since we didn't have a working one at home) and ended up home about 3am.

Long enough for you?????

Then, we wake up this morning at 8:20am and Emily desperately has to go potty, so we run to the neighbor's house. Urrggg, this is not looking good without a working bathroom. Anyway, then I have a dentist appt at 10am (which turns out to just be a cleaning :woohoo: ) and get in the car with a HORRIBLE headache (a migraine just pounding) and find the plumber at my house finally. I take some Excedrin migraine and go to lay down. Next thing I know, the plumber is making MAJOR noise (but maybe it's not so bad, I just have a massive headache). After a little bit, Chris comes in to give me the news!!! No problems found with the camera. Our pipes are clear. The plumber thinks that the camera must have pushed out whatever was stopped and the reason that his snake wasn't going any further was a little dip in the pipe that they could see with the camera.

Anyway, no extra charge for the 2nd trip to our house, because he would have found that out yesterday had he had a working camera on his truck. So, that was my last 36 hours and I still have my headache, the girls are resting and I'm going to go take a nap!!! :cloud9:

OMG Amy - what a day you had! Glad to hear the bathroom is fixed and I hope your headache goes away quickly.

I'm tired just reading it all! I'm glad it was nothing major with the plumbing, it could have been a lot worse.

Feel better, Amy! pixiedust:

We bought SSR points on the cruise also. I really like AKL (we stayed there last March and September for the 1st times). As much as I like it, I don't see us purchasing points there. I'm still curious as to what the maintenance fees will really be like once it's open.

Maintenance fees are 4.62 or 4.82 a point...can't remember

Happy Monday!!!

Well sounds like a fun time was had by all last night at WDW! So glad o hear it. I can't wait for our next trip so we can hit Le Cellier, we haven't been there in a while.

Cindy - I'm so glad to hear Gary is ok. I was worried when I first heard about it. Hope he takes it easy and heals up real soon.:grouphug:

Amy - I totally know what you went thru with your plumbing problems. We had our own situation like 2 weeks ago where we had to turn off our main water, so no water was to be had in the whole house!!! That's always fun. We used Mr Rooter too since they don't charge extra. Good thing too cause the guy who came to fix our plumbing was at our place till like 10pm to get it all done!

Today has been productive. Got some scrapbooking swap stuff all put together, put new shelves in the closet and just weeded thru some old stuff and tidied up.
Oh and yesterday I made a killing on getting myself a new vacuum. I can now say I have joined the ranks of becoming a proud Dyson owner! The original price was marked $539.99 but with a sale and extra discounts I paid $369, needles to say I was doing the happy dance.

Well, we are back:sad2: We all had a great time!!! It was a little cold the last few days, but otherwise we had excellent weather. All the kids had fun, even the big ones! We did the Pirate and Princess Party at MK on Thursday night, it was nice...The fireworks were excellent! I only went to see the Tink Float! My girls said I was crazy! We waited in the rain for 30 min for the parade! But it was worth it.

Guess we missed all the snow, and craziness around here. We came home to alot of snow, but the driveway and our cars had been cleared off by a friend! Very nice of him!

Tim surprised me with an appointment with our guide!!!(And some very nice Precious Moments Disney Statues) for Valentines Day! We added on 150pts at AKV. I cant believe we did it!

Amy, I know how the plumbing issue is! We had to wait for 24 hours without using the bathroom at home too!...We had a problem with the plumbing 2 days before we left...We had water backing up in the basement! The plumber came out and snaked the line, and guess what he found???? I figured it would be a toy or something like that! No it was diaper wipes, Lauren is finally fully potty trained, and Tim has been wiping her with diaper wipes and flushing them!!! DUH???? He had no idea that you couldnt flush them...I showed him the side of the package, and now he doesnt even leave them in the bathroom...oh well! Lesson learned!

party: :bday: :cake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALKER!!!:cake: :bday: party:

Mary and Mark - Have a fantastic trip and enjoy Hawaii!

Cindy - Glad to hear Gary's OK and it's good he went to the ER. And, I hope you move hear soon.:)

Amy - Wow, I didn't realize how tired you truly were. Glad your plumbing problems are fixed.

Thanks everyone!! I'm finally feeling a bit better. Still a bit of a headache, but it's mostly gone. I completely disinfected the bathroom and now it's back to normal!! Thank goodness!!!

Congrats on the new Dyson, Stacy!! I really love mine and can't imagine living without it now.

Whoo-hoo! :cheer2: Aren't we a crazy bunch getting excited over a vacuum???

So, what color is it? At that price, I know it's more than the standard yellow one! :cool1:

We are a little freaky for getting excited about things like a vacuum.
It's the red & purple one. I think it's the low reach, it has the attachment that lets you vacuum under furnature without having to move it.
