Tina was the room you stayed in a "Converted" room or a roon in a new bldg.?
How much construction is till going on? Is it disruptive?

Steve, last night on the news they reported that the Kankakee River was flooding. Are you okay out there?

We are OK but it is getting BAD in town .The river is higher than I have seen it in YEARS, like 20 + years. Watseka is completely underwater. ALL that has to come our way yet. I will not have probs at home we are miles from the river but th FD may have to do evacs before its all over.

I didnt realize you were that close to Watseka, I have a friend who lives there! He owns a small farm area there, and raises horses and dogs. He also is a jeweler, so he drives to my area of IL 4 days a week to run that business! Busy man! He called me the other day to tell me how flooded everything was, and thank goodness for 4 wheel drive or he wouldnt be making it home! Small world! I will see him Saturday afternoon for his sons 1st birthday!

Watseka is like 35mi from our home Tina. The flooding there is on the Iroquois river. It flows into the Kankakee river. I am just west of Kankakee but our Fire dept covers a stretch of the river. I just looked and saw they had a house fire in Aroma Park today. Our FD went mutual aid. It just keeps getting worse.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES ARE DANGEROUS...TO YOUR DENTAL HEALTH!!!

Madison and I were at a birthday party today and Madison knocked out one of her front teeth!! Yes, her front tooth! They had one of those bounce house things and Madison had been in it all day. It was the very end of the party and Madison came out of the bouncy for a drink of water. After she drinks, she starts crying and says that she is missing her tooth. Sure enough, I look up and she's bleeding and her top, front, left tooth is completely missing. We ice and call the pediatrician. The service calls back and basically she needs to eat soft foods for a few days, follow up with the dentist on Monday and if she has pain take Tylenol. Because it's a baby tooth, there's nothing that she can do. So, here's her new toothless grin.

Oh, but she gets to do one thing before her sister - GET A VISIT FROM THE TOOTH FAIRY!!!

Wow! It must be going around, we have had 2 different children in our office that have knocked out there 2 front teeth(Both were permanant), 1 if them we were unable to reattach the original teeth because they couldnt frind them because itwa sa snowboarding accident...The other one feel down some stairs, and we told the mom to save the teeth in a cup in his saliva, and we should be able to reattach them by bonding the next morning, and it worked! Seen him this morning and they look great you can barely tell!

I hope Madison is OK and has no pain!!!

Did the scratch on her cheek come with it as well?

I wonder if she caught her mouth on the mesh part of the jumpy-bouncy thing and lost it there?


Cool....a visit from the tooth fairy. I wonder what the going rate for that is. I've heard the 1st tooth is always the highest reward value. We haven't seen the tooth fairy around here in a long time, as Walker chose to keep all of his baby teeth.

Thankfully, no pain!! She seems to be perfectly fine with it. The hardest part for her is that a couple of her bottom teeth are a tad loose, so the nurse said that she needs to take it easy and eat soft foods, so that those teeth tighten up. And, we'll go to the dentist on Monday. And, we never did find the tooth. They had everyone at the party looking for it after we left (we're just across the street, so it was an easy trip home), but no one ever found it.

Actually, the scrape on her face was from about 4 hours before the tooth incident. She ran into her dresser and scraped herself up.

Chris asked if she had her mouth on the jumpy, and maybe that's how it happened, but she said no. We can't figure it out!

I heard that the toothfairy was going to bring her 5 gold $1 coins. I guess we'll find out in the morning.

Yeah, they sure have! Actually, I heard that you get more for the first tooth, then it goes to $1 or 2 for the rest.

Glad she is doing all right. At least it was just one tooth. My neighbor's DD knocked out both of her front teeth when she was 3 or 4 in a fall. They moved when she was in the first grade and still no front teeth. When they came back to visit the next summer, the first thing we said to her was "Hannah! You have teeth!" We were so used to her not having teeth that she looked funny with them.

Hope that Madison is enjoying what the tooth fairy left behind!
