Wow I know its only been a week but so much is going on.
Cindy, how is Walker doing ? I hope he heals up quick. Our son had a similar injury during football one year that needed stiches but he healed pretty quick. Hopefully Walker will too.
Mary, Congrats on the new grandbaby news I am sure you will spoil that one to pieces too.
Diana, not sure I would have picked you out as a Gladiators fan.
As for me I appreciate the wishes for a slow down and THANKFULLY yesterday finally was. However getting there was still a challenge.
Thursday was our monthly fire dept meeting night. That went well till about 9ish Then we were called to an apartment building fire in the town of Kankakee. (we are just west of them) Short story, around 100 residents of a senior/low income building, flames showing and thick black smoke when we got there, helped in the fire room, then helped evac wheelchair victims. Then a few other general chores at the scene and Squid gets home at 2 am.
Coleen and I were BOTH whipped on Friday and both worked Sat. Her dday in the ICU was crazy busy and I had a call for a 14 y/o girl hit by a car. She had a skull fracture, bleeding on the brain and a broken leg. They think she will pull through but its still early. Then up again during the night for drunks in a bar fight and a man who wanted us to tell him his nose bleed was bad enough for his wife to take him to the hospital

So Sunday I was still pretty tired. Today she is watching our youngest DGD who is cutting teeth and has a fever. I get to run errends all day and then do FD training tonight.
Hope you all have good days.
Squid
