Hey everyone - well, has anyone gotten their DVC operating budget thingy yet? We got ours today for VWL, and of course, they went up again. We're up to $4.72/point. YIKES!!! I didn't look at the details too much yet, but I'm sure that some of it is our rising insurance costs here in FL.

Beautiful picture, Julie!!! What a great photo to start the day!!!

Diana Great job on your craft show items!:cheer2:

Well all of the Holiday stuff is up inside and out! The presents are bought and wrapped. Now just baking left to do. Bring on the Holidays I'm ready to party!:cool1:
Wow Chris, I'm impressed. I'm still working on cleaning around here, then I'll start the decorating. I'm almost done with shopping, but I haven't even started to wrap everything (but I do have all the paper & tags). I'm definitely in awe of your readiness for the holidays!!!

I'm impressed too Chris! I'm always the first person I know with the tree up and everything decorated, but this year I just couldn't seem to get out of my funk to do it---until Emma got home from preschool today and asked me why Dominic and Autumn and Samuel all said they have Christmas ornaments on a tree and why doesn't she. BAD MOMMY!!!! OK Em, tree and everything else will be up before I go to bed tonight. How many hours are in a day and what can we do about adding a couple? :confused3

We did this last year, and I believe it was the beginning of this thread too--can we all post pics of our trees and decorations? That was fun! (Of course this suggestion is coming from someone who has some Halloween stuff still out.)

Gotta go bake some turkey cookies!! Oh Gail, those are mini m+ms for eyes on the birds, with gel icing for the dots. Of course Walmart only had primary colored gel so my birds are going to have red dots on their eyes and yellow feet.

Yeah, I was kinda shocked by that too. That seems high. I remember when we bought in they said something to the effect of "about $3 per point." $4.72 is a long way from "about $3."

Chris I am impressed! Our holiday decorations are almost all done as we're traveling to Iowa this weekend for Thanksgiving and a party for us in my home town. We're driving with the dog CHIP and wow is that a party staying over night in a hotel with him
wink.gif
! We have to put the ornaments on the tree but we'll do that when we get back :cool1:

We hope to have our professional photos later this week via the web and I wanted to share a sneak peek that our photographer did for us - this one is my favorite so far

I can see why this is one of your favorites. It had to have been so neat to overlook the setting up of everything knowing they were doing it for you!

:worship: You are my idol! I haven't even made a list of what I have to buy. The only list I made was to buy the pies and get the stuff for the Thanksgiving cookies :rotfl:

Ah, red dots for eyes, I think your turkeys have had 1 to many Twisted Teas!

We got ours last week, but I just put it away with out reading it. I went back and looked at it and if I'm reading it right, OKW's fees went to $4.40 a point. I didn't get one for SSR since we just bought in there.

Julie - That picture is great. It must have been nice to watch the setup without the workers knowing you were watching.

Mary - Thanks for the info on the re-booking. The extra on-board credit is what I was looking for. Now, how do I ask for it and which travel agencies will give that? Only Dreams unlimited?

MVMCP and Osborne Spectacle of Lights were both a lot of fun. The air was even nice and cool making it feel like Christmas. It was strange seeing people walking around with scarves, hats and gloves on when we were all just sweating the night before the cruise exactly one month earlier.

Good luck to those making the Turkey cookies especially Gail ;)

Amy and Chris - I promise to put my pictures to CD tonight. You may have answered this before but is Chris busy Friday night? I have an extra for the Lightning game if he wants it.

Does everyone have there CJ books bought yet? While shopping at the Disney outlet I found 8X8 Mickey CJ's for sale and bought a bunch. They were $9.99 plus tax each. Was that a good buy? I have a few extra so if anyone wants, let me know. I can go over and get more if we need. They come in black or red and a I have a few of each. I'm usuing a black one for myself.

Ilene - That picture of your daughter is really cool! I'd be nervous too if I were you. What's Murt say about it?

In case I don't post before, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!

I was thinking the same thing, way different from about $3.

Great deal, Jeff!!! I'm doing something a little different for my CJ, but it's a good deal for others.

I might as well admit this to all of you too!

I went to the Pillsbury site and printed off the directions for the Turkey cookies. When John got home I showed him the picture and told him I was going to make them for Thanksgiving. The big goof fell down on the floor and acted like he was gasping for a breath. :faint: He then got up very slowly and said "Oh the surprise announcement of you making cookies was too much for my heart to handle."

Then Deanna comes home from school and I show the picture to her. She actually asked me if I was really making them or getting them from Costco :confused3

Seriously, I can bake - I just don't usually like to. Just to prove them wrong I will make them Thursday morning and take a picture of them to prove to them in the years to come that I can bake :rotfl:

A very happy Thanksgiving to you too, Jeff! Murt thinks it's cool, he doesn't seem to worry like I do..I worry enough for both of us ;)

Michelle is going to try to make those Turkey cookies, I have to go buy the stuff tonight! She's vegetarian so this is NOT her favorite holiday..on top of that she doesn't like pies either so the cookies will give her something to eat that is special.

Seems I can smell that yummy turkey cooking already.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Jeff. Amy I will try and get the dvd mailed before we leave for Tampa on Wed.

It's a rare 8:00 game. They usually start at 7:30 so this is unusual and I'm not sure why. If he can make it I'll bring the CD to the game with me.

You had ROTFL again when I read this :rotfl: . Luckily, I'm the only one still in the building. If you really want to wow them and don't mind making a few more cookies, try making chocolate chip cookies with the tollhouse recipe except use all white sugar and substitute Crisco sticks for the butter. My mom hasn't had complaints as long as I can remember and has had people ask her for the recipe from when I was in grade school. Even my dad has taken to baking these. The bigger you make them the softer the middle becomes, unless you leave them in too long like my dad.
