Okay - let's try this:

Hey, Stacy? Know that bit of video that Curt told you he had found? What's it worth to you to keep that underwraps? Maybe a trip to Chicago in early December? If not, I'm sure that DCL would love to use it in their next promotional DVD... :rolleyes1

A question from a New Jerseyite: Where is Cedar Point???

Great Job Walker!

I'm not a carpenter, I have no clue! :rotfl: I do know that when we replaced the front door this year it had to be special ordered because the sizing was way off.

How can I find out who built the house? My house does look a lot like yours. Do you have gold speckled countertop? Because that's my favorite feature of this house. We've replaced all the wacky stuff around here except the pepto bismol pink tile walls in the bathroom and the gold speckled counters. The pink sink in the kitchen was the first thing to go. Followed by the turquoise sink and toilet in the upstairs bath. :crazy2:

Jeeze I hope you got a deal on the place... Did the paint from Crayola come included?

I'm just guessing, but does someone have desk duty today. :duck:

I think that you might be on to something, Mary!!! :confused3

I'm hoping we don't get the response from Clifton Park, just so we can see the video :rotfl:

Did anyone notice that we finally made third all time on the Cruise Meets board? From the looks of it, we'll never catch up to the Dec. 9th and Blabbermouth thread though.

Did anyone else get the latest mail from the DVC Member Cruise? How ironic that they mention the 2007 cruise, since none of us who received the letter are welcome to return :rotfl2:

Ahoy, Samuel!

Welcome back to dry land, sailors! After four days of Member magic and some truly special surprises, the S.S. Member Cruise 2006 drew to a close—but the memories are sure to last forever. In this final edition of S.S. Member Cruise 2006 Cruise News, we'll recap the highlights of this year's voyage and announce the dates and itinerary of next year's journey, the S.S. Member Cruise 2007.

Never a dull moment
From the harbor of Port Canaveral to the sands of Castaway Cay, our cruise was filled with amazing memories. We celebrated the 15th anniversary of Disney Vacation Club with a boatload of special events. We soaked up the sun together during a fun-filled day at sea. And we got along famously with this year's roster of Disney insiders, Guest Speakers, and Broadway stars. Here are just a few of the incredible moments we experienced while "Celebrating Disney Milestones."

• Roy E. Disney entertained Members with stories of his childhood and his Uncle Walt during two live appearances. As a special surprise, Roy premiered an animated short, The Little Matchgirl, never before seen by the general public. Roy also talked about his role as Director Emeritus of The Walt Disney Company and shared his vision for the future of Disney.

• Disney Imagineer and author Jason Surrell told some swashbuckling tales about the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and films. Also appearing was 2006 Walt Disney World® Ambassador Michael Collier, who let cruisers in on a Disney service presentation usually reserved for Cast Members.

• In celebration of Disney Animation, motivational speaker and athlete Bonnie St. John shared inspiring thoughts about animated Disney movies like Mulan and The Lion King. Meanwhile, Disney animator Dominic Carola displayed sketches from the development of Pocahontas and talked about how his Disney career took shape. Dominic also drew on a wealth of experience to host a "Family Animation" event, where he showed Members how some classic characters were created.

• On Day 2, the Disney Wonder® docked at Castaway Cay alongside the ghostly pirate ship, The Flying Dutchman, after walking the (gang) plank onto the island, Members captured plenty of rays on the Bahamian beaches. On our second visit to the island, cruisers kicked off a picture-perfect Day 4 with a Group Photo opportunity and put on a smile for another day in paradise.

• Actress Jennifer Hudson and vocalist Jodi Benson joined forces for two spectacular shows in the Walt Disney Theatre. Jennifer debuted music from her upcoming film Dreamgirls, and Jodi made Members "part of her world" with her signature song from The Little Mermaid.

• Surrounded by Disney characters and Cast Members at our Farewell Celebration, Disney Vacation Club President Jim Lewis shared some special last words with cruisers, providing a celebratory end to four days of memorable milestones.

Surveying the scene
As we made our way off the Disney Wonder on Thursday, we asked Members to share their thoughts with us on the S.S. Member Cruise 2006 Survey. Thanks to everyone who completed a survey—your comments will help us make future Member events even more spectacular!

Setting a course for 2007
Moments after returning to Port Canaveral, we began plans for next year's Disney Vacation Club journey, the S.S. Member Cruise 2007. We'll set sail October 21-25, 2007, for a 4-day adventure through the blue waters of the Caribbean to Castaway Cay. And because this year's unique itinerary was such a hit with Members, you'll be happy to hear that the S.S. Member Cruise 2007 will once again include two tropical stops at Disney's private island paradise. To learn about the Reservation Selection Process for next year's cruise, look for an announcement in the mail and visit dvcmember.com.

Thanks for a fantastic voyage
While our celebration of Disney milestones has ended, we still have plenty of energy for celebrating Members—after all, you're the reason our journey was so unforgettable. On behalf of our entire Disney Vacation Club Family, thank you for joining us aboard the S.S. Member Cruise 2006. Whether we set sail with you again next year or see you at "home," we can't wait to make more of your vacation dreams come true.

Thanks for the memories,

Wait a sec. This must be something different. I've had mine for 4 yrs or so. And I don't "fill" it with any toothpaste. I put the toothpaste on like normal. Maybe they've made upgrades to the system.

There's a new one out that you add the toothpaste tube to the handle of the unit, and it "delivers" toothpaste to the brush. Not sure, but I'm thinking you have to buy a certain container of toothpaste for it to fit.

Since mine is 6 yrs old I have to put the toothpaste on it like a normal toothbrush.

I received the e-mail and yesterday I received a card in the mail. Maybe I should mark it return to sender and send it back with a nice little message :rotfl2:

We got the e-mail as well. The thing is they still have never spelled out how many rooms they are filling on the first booking day and how many will be open for the rest of us.

The other sad thing is that I have never gotten a response from the e-mail I sent on the first day it was announced, nor have I gotten a response from the letter I sent after the cruise. DVC used to pride itself on customer service but I really think they are slipping.

I'm very certain there is a reason for that. My feel is that DVC is hand picking those that they want to offer the first set of cabins too. Based on things like how often they borrow points, how often they book cash nights, how often they include other family members, how finanacially sound they seem to do an add on.

I don't believe for a second that those select on the first date are going to be random. I'm sure DVC's plan is to "invite" those they feel are the most likely to add-on.

My feel of DVC is so different than it was just 6 months ago. And, it's definately taken a turn for the worse in my book. :(

Walker & I just finished up his PTA Sponsored project. This years theme was "My Favorite Place" and our goal was to do this based on the cruise and Walker's pictures. Most of his pictures from the cruise didn't turn out so well, so we still went with that theme, just a little different angle to it. We took all the pictures Walker took by himself and then he sorted through and decided which ones he wanted to use. The size requirement was predetermined as well as the exclusion of any copy written material or characters (no tick-toc from the Club. much to Walker's disappointment). Per the rules, Walker did most of the work himself. Here's how it turned out:

Tell Walker his project came out awesome. Ask him if he wants to come to Florida to help me with my circle journal.

I think Stacy won't reply until she is home from work as you know she's busy brow beating people for their tax dollars :rotfl2: lol

However, I do know that Mr Curt is good at keeping his promises!
