I'd rather take a nap than have a cookie :)
You're not kidding!!! Kids have NO idea how lucky they are to get to take naps!!!

Just thought I would share this video since we spoke about the 5 pt harness earlier this year

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azgBhZfcqaQ

It's hard to watch - not graphic at all - and a very valid point!

Someone just sent this to Mike through Pediacast. I saw it and cried. Then I went to the website that's listed at the end of the video and I ended up dehydrated from crying so much. Part of the problem is, the little boy sounded so much like Nick....same personality, same little habits, same little quirks. :)

Mike has emailed the mom b/c he was planning to do a car seat safety podcast and he wants to know if he can share her story on his podcast.

The thing is, this makes me question our kids' safety. KT is 12 1/2, but she is still only 65#. And not in a car seat anymore. Hmmmm Of course, Nick isn't either for that matter.

That story is heartwrenching, yet people still don't get it and play with their kids safety every single day.

I was one of the people who participated in the car seat conversation earlier in the year. Once my girls were out of infant carriers, I bought them the Britax Marathon because it was the only convertible at the time that held up to 65lbs and I have big kids. I know so many people who once their kids turn 3 just put them in a booster with a seatbelt and it just seems so dangerous to me. I've had people make fun of me because I'm a freak about car seats and take my car to a police seat check twice a year. People didn't understand why I would spend over $200 on a car seat. (I spend $30,000 on a car, what's another $400 for added safety) They laugh because I say I'm going to keep them in these seats until it is physically impossible for them to fit in them. These are the same people whose kids are smaller than Emma and sit in a booster (without a back) and regular seat belt. :sad2:

I apologize that it has taken me a while to get some photos together of our reception location.

The wedding was at the Yacht Club Gazebo and then we took our guests on a lovely walk down the yacht club pier out to the friendshp boats where we boarded our own private boat for the trip over to mgm.

We had our violinist lead us down there and then Matt and I stood at the entrance to the boat and greeted everyone - you can see our violinist in this photo playing he was amazing!

Here are a few shots on the boat - one taken by friends and 2 I took lol:

Then we exited the boat, headed through security at MGM (wow did this take a while) and up the exit ramp into Fantasmic onto the 2 back patios :)

For some reason I have no photos of this area and haven't been emailed any lately. Curt/Karen or Stacy/Jeff anyone anyone?

After the show then we waited for the stadium to clear and headed down to our next stop....

Can you guess where we are????

Does this give you a clue?

This was our dream - to incorporate Rockn Roller coaster into our wedding reception and we did! Yes, I rode in my dress and loved every minute of it!

We then had drinks in the courtyard

after we were told the space was ready we continued our journey on to dinner by walking through the park - JUST AMAZING to walk in an empty park with your closest friends and family

Here is where we ended up

We had dinner (again I don't have photos of any food at this point), dancing, characters cake and FUN!

Here are some things that went on:

There appears to be a line for the signature mat... recognize anyone?

DVC used to pride itself on customer service but I really think they are slipping.
Yup, they seem to be gettin' too big for their britches.
