Welcome back, Jeff. Gee, you were in NJ and you didn't even stop by for a cup of coffee

Any coincidence to the fact that Jeff and Tina show up back on the boards at the same time? ;)
Wouldnt you like to know??? :rotfl2: But seriously, No...none at all!! I was super busy with work, and home, and activities for the kids! Read a little this weekend, but had no time to post until now, work has slowed a bit, and I am posting in between things here! I will be gone next week as well...Will be down in Orlando for Thanksgiving, but going to Universal with my aunt and the kids! And the good news in all that is Tim and his DD Lauren are going to come down for 3 days!!! I cant wait!!

Cedar Point has group booking.::yes:: If you want the cottages you will have to book them as soon as 07 comes out! The cottages go Fast! Since ,that's what' I do for a living . I could look into it......

Chris, it sounds like a perfect fit for you if you don't mind taking on the job! :cool1:

If it is a go is the plan to get there on Friday the 13th and leave on Sunday the 15th having one full day in the park?

If this ends up coming to be, we will probably take the entire week and head someplace else either before Cedar Point or after. That would take care of one of the weeks of vacation we don't have planned for right now.

While I would love to find a very nice single lady for our friend Jeff ( ::yes:: ), I think Tina is already in a relationship with Tim. So, I'm sure it's purely coincidence.

What type of coffee do you have at home? Just in case we're ever in the area. ;)
Its purely coincidental...I am very much in love with Tim, I dont forsee any changes there, considering we just bought 250 DVC point together!!! But I agree with ya Cindy, A very nice single lady for Jeff would be wonderful! I'll keep my eye out!

I don't mind. I just need a set date (s). The rates should be out early next year for the cottages.

I guess if you want to go as a group:

1)We need to vote on the date(s) first.
2)Then where do you want to stay and length of stay next.
3) How many need to buy tickets and what kind of ticket(s)?

For us:
1) the July 13-15 works great for us
2) I don't care where. Cottages sound nice. It'd probably be two nights for us....the 13th and the 14th.
3) Would everyone have to get the same kind of tickets? We usually get ours through AAA. Can you get them cheaper?

Ohhhhhhh Stay-ceeeee! :wave2:

Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with a Yellow Bird on top? puckerup:

You're gonna have to do better than that! :worship: Quick before she comes up with some lame-o excuse!

Wow, Mike must be excited about this.....a chance to get his dw to Cedar Point!!!

He already has on the schedule request calendar "no call on thursday, july 12, and off on july 13-15!!" thinking maybe we'll do a water park if we go up a day early.

of course, that means i'll lose out on my day of peace and quiet.

Decaf is good, but I'll have to bring my own. I'm really picky on my coffee and it has to not taste like coffee for me to drink. Gary, OTOH, would love a cup of Starbucks anytime!!

I don't drink coffee either. Except when it's VERY light and VERY sweet. So basically a little bit of coffee and a lot of cream and sweetner! I'm a BzzAgent (anyone else a BzzAgent?) and I just got a campaign for coffee to try. :crazy2: OK no big deal, I can make coffee. But apparently it's very good coffee, I looked on the website, it's $20 a pound and they sent me whole beans and the non coffee drinkers don't have a grinder. So I gave it to a friend. Well, wouldn't you know they just sent me another pound of coffee. Now I have to find someone else with a grinder to give it to.

The drive was a little over an hour because of construction on 17 in NJ by Sharp Plaza. We'll have to get together the next time I'm up. BTW, when is that NY meet I saw someone post about?

Bad construction and could you tell if it was a long term thing? I'm going through there on Wed or Thursday. Going North or South? I may have to plan an alternate route.

I'm fine with the weekend of the 13th. Although Friday the 13th doesn't thrill me.

The cottages look like we'd have a lot of fun there. And you guys know me, I'm all about fun! 2 nights is good for us....more if it means I don't have to go visit with my in-laws either right before or right after.

One more Circle Journal thing - if any of you live close together, please let me know. I'm going to be trying to start to create the order in which the CJs will travel the U.S. and I want to try to keep those that live near each other in order. That way, some of you can save on shipping and have some mini-DIS meets.

I know that Stacy & Diana are close, because we did that last year for the CJ. Also, I know that Cindy & Mary are close too, and I think that Tina and Steve are also in the Chicago area. Anyone else??? I know that there are some MI people that are pretty close too, along with a few of us Floridians. Let me know, so I can start to make the list.

We're up to 22 participants. Welcome to the group, Chris (sanddune)!!!
Hmmm, I thought I posted this earlier. I guess I forgot to hit submit before Ian and I headed out this morning.

I'm not exactly sure where Julie is, but it is somewhere in the area. And Rochelle was at our DFW meet on Sunday, so you should be able to put the 3 of us in the same grouping. Thanks for organizing this Amy. I'm so excited to get started. I still need to go pick out an album, but I have ideas swirling around in my head. :)

I know that last year they had to be the same ticket, but with all of their new parks...Things are changing!
I'm pretty sure the rates are about the same as AAA. Let me look into the new rates and I'll get back to you.

Cedar Point - ok final decision will be Mark's.

I can't deprive him of seeing his smoothie son and it will be great if I have some non coaster friends to hang with like Karen. So maybe we will go (sorry Amy). Like I said final decision will be his.

The cottages look cute.

Here is the big question. Would we be able to book as a group? It seems like there would be some discounts that way and maybe we could get rooms/cabins/cottages right near each other. Anyone have any experience in this or wants to take it on?

If it is a go is the plan to get there on Friday the 13th and leave on Sunday the 15th having one full day in the park?

Well, now....what about this?
Every year Mike and the kid go to Cedar Point. I have nothing to do with it. I stay home. Although every year they beg me to go....just to be with them and wait in lines. It'd still be "family" time, just every hour or so they'd leave me for 5 minutes (I'd take the chicken exit)

If you guys go....I'd go.....and we'd wait in lines with ppl and take the chicken exit and hang out together while we're waiting for them to ride the ride.

Mike keeps telling me I should go b/c I haven't been there in YEARS and I should actually SEE the huge new coasters. Not ride them....but at least SEE them!

So don't discount it totally. :)

If we're going to make a weekend of it, we'd probably have to know by about March or April in order to get Mike's work requests on the schedule.
You wouldn't be alone in taking the chicken exit. DH Ken cannot ride any roller coaster that is more extreme that BTTMRR. Last time we were at MK, he didn't even ride that! They make him physically sick. He breaks out in a cold sweat, and just has to lie down for at least 2 hours. I'm not a fan of the really extreme ones either, and won't ride a wooden one ever again! So, if we were to go, we'd be sitting on the sidelines for many of the rides.

Anyone one else thinking of going that can't do coasters? If not, I'll have to do some fast talkin' to convince Ken to go.

We have a grinder. :)
Maybe if I could get my act together and figure out how many bags I need you could ship it all together. :) Of course, not sure I really want to get Mike hooked on $20 a pound coffee!!!

No extreme ones for me. At WDW I will talk, beg and plead my way out of Rockin' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Dinosaur, Space Mountain, BTMRR....

I've ridden Everest twice (on different days) and while it made me slighly motion sick, I enjoyed the themeing. COuldn't do it twice in a row though.

My family has learned not to get me on rides I don't want to go on. B/c if I get motion sick I'm no fun to be around. Although sometimes they do try to pressure me, I hold my ground. What would I be teaching my kids if I succummed to peer pressure!?!?!?!?!?

I don't do many coasters. I don't do any of the "launch you into a death tunnel" ones like RnR. I don't do anything that goes backwards. I'm not crazy about looping coasters, but I do them if convinced. I like the good old fashioned wooden coasters that go really fast but keep you facing in the right direction the entire time! I'm sure I'll be on the bench a majority of the time or putting the girls on something they can do. Any fellow chickens are welcome to join me. Bruce loves all coasters so I get lonely in the chicken section!

As far as the CJ goes, no one actually lives near me, but I would be willing to meet Mary and Cindy (or anyone else) in Indy sometime if they are interested. Indy is a 3.5 to 4 hour drive from me.
