:guilty: Not delaying, have only been home less than 2 weeks so am really trying. Matt's working all weekend :( and I've been working a lot of hours so hopefully we can get it done this weekend to send on Monday.

Julie, you are NOT the only one who has yet to send their pictures off to Amy & Chris. :guilty:

Ours is going in the mail today.

Seriously guys, don't worry about it. We just wanted to remind everyone so that we can get them back to you guys as soon as possible. It takes Chris some time to work with each person's CD, and he's a procrastinator so I want him to work on it while he has the momentum going.

We're looking forward to everyone's pictures. They really are turning out nicely.

Diana, good luck today. :tink: Your items look wonderful.

What did you put in the reindeer food that is green & red? We use to put glitter but then they discouraged it and the last several years I've used red & green sugar but it doesn't show up as well as whatever you have in there. This year is going to be a little tougher as everything has to be edible since my 4-2 year olds are making it. In the past, we've used bird seed and corn but I'm thinking I'll either add that at the end or not put it in this time around. The little ones still like to taste things sometimes and I don't want to have to tell their parent at the end of the day they had a bird seed snack!

The reindeer food sounds interesting!

Ok fun creative people I need some advice :) as we need to send off our thank you and gifts to our wedding team. We worked with a Coordinator (sort of the sales person) who was amazing and also attending the wedding and reception as part of the team that worked it and we worked with a Planner (the person who does the details and sees you to the end). We would like to send a gift and Disney has rules so we'd like it to be something they can either share at work or take home. Gift Cards are out - they have to be donated to the Disney charity (from what I understand). I've thought of a gift basket from wine country (they have them with and without wine) or some gifts from Crate and Barrel. But would love to hear of any ideas you might have.

Coordinator is female, married and has 2 kids in middle/elementary school.
Planner is male, married and kids are older - may have grandkids.

THANKS!

Now that's all I'll think about today is those wings!

Julie - what about a basket of local TX items. Either candies or food that are known in your area. That should be something they could accept and share if needed.

For example if I was doing something from Chicago I might send Fannie May candies (since they started here) or maybe a Lou Malnatti's pizza. :)

Wish we had a Chick-fil-a close by. Love them!

One more for the top! Ok a not unexpected top but a good way to start they day. :)

LOL, Mary that is EXACTLY what I was going to suggest. I know we've given small baskets from the Cape Cod area highlighting, lobster, cranberries and sea side items. We've also added a post card or two because people are generally curious about what the area looks like.

What a nice thought, Julie. Even thought it's their "job", I'm sure they will appreciate anything you & Matt do.

Have you ever heard of these retro candy baskets? I sent one to a friend who took care of Tony while we were on vacation and she absolutely loved it. They included many things that you can't find in the stores today. A fun walk down memory lane.

I also like the Crate & Barrel idea. It use to be one of my favorite stores -- pre-kids that is. Somehow my priorities have changed over time.

Morning Everyone!

I received a postcard from Chick-fil-a thanking me for being part of the Million Nugget Giveaway. I didn't win a Chick-fil-a tray but coupons for one free large Dr. Pepper and also one free gallon of iced tea if you purchase a chick-fil-a tray. I won't be using this but if you'd like it, please send me a pm with your mailing address and I'll drop it in the mail to you. They expire January 31, 2007 so there is plenty of time to enjoy!

Julie, You can't ship wine to FL yet. so if you use the wine country place it would be all non wine. Apparently there is some law about ordering wine in FL that stops these places sending wine here.

Here's some pictures of the Castle puzzle. I will be putting it up on a shelf - too much work put into it to take it apart.

Gail - very cool! What a great bit of Disney for your home and even more special that it came from a friend!

Thanks Cheryl - I think the law changed earlier this year to ship into and out of the state but I'm off to find out now.

Great ideas everyone keep them coming! I've thought of the Texas basket but neither of us are really "from" here so we would not know what to send. LOL

Cindy - wow that's a great site as I LOVE CANDY so we may do that as well!

What about one of those cookie bouquets? I've done that for Chris a few times, and they are always enjoyed. I think that their website is www.cookiesbydesign.com.
