Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Looking for a spot kind of off the beaten path where you can relax, read or maybe listen to some tunes? Well then head on up to deck 9 and the Cove Cafe!

If you are also into speciality coffee drinks this is the place for you as well.

It is adults only and has large woven chairs outside and inside has a collection of big comfy chairs. There is a large screen tv, some games on the tables, I even saw a couple of music listening stations. When I was in Cove Cafe on the Magic in May they had also added a glass front pasty cabinet. Lots of fresh pastries in the morning including Stollen bread. I would go make a cup of tea at the drink station in the morning, then walk down to Cove Cafe and get a piece of Stollen bread and have it while sitting in those wonderful woven chairs watching the sea!

Here's another tip - the computers up here are usually not as busy as the ones down on deck 3 if you want to get on the internet.

Welcome home Gail - we've missed you! Mary (iluvdisney) was asking about you in chat. She leaves for FL on the 10th and wanted to make sure you knew.

Not feeling very good today so I'm staying home. Must have some type of stomach bug because I was up every hour on the hour last night. No sleep and just feeling blech! Hopefully it will pass soon.

To all our Jewish cruisers - have a good fast today as you celebrate Yom Kippur.

My apologies I just realized I talked about food in the tip of the day. Sorry!

I'm sorry that you're not feeling well, Mary!!! :wizard: I hope you're feeling better soon!!

Thanks Amy - not sure what caused it. I felt great yesterday - even took a ride to see Cindy and family. Started feeling it a bit in chat - just a quesy feeling and then it kept me up all night. Going to make myself some tea and just take it easy.

Hi everyone!!! Well - better late than never they say. My family consists of myself - Niagara2 - Doreen and my DH Sean. We have 2 sons, Brandon and Justin.
We signed up for this cruise like most of the rest of you....on hold that Saturday morning so long ago. I cannot believe it is already October and time for the member cruise. This is our first member cruise but we are DCL veteran's. We did the repo and brought the Magic home. We have also done 4 other DCL cruises on both the Wonder and Magic.
I am a late planner. We own our own business and are very busy in the summer. It is just slowing down and now we can plan our great trip. I actually have a business trip to FL next week and will make time for a day at the Magic Kingdom. We still are on a wait list for a room at BCV for the day the cruise ends. Not good this late in the game. I also have not planned the night before room. Any ideas? Told you I am starting really late.
I have attended Dis meets on board during prior cruises and loved getting to know my fellow Disers. I have even been to Dis meets here locally.
I am hoping to read :wave2: this entire thread before I go so that I know more about you all. Can't promise - because do you guys realize there are over a 19000 posts! Wow. I have a lot of catching up to do. I will continue to check in until we go and look forward to our time together.
Thank you for letting me in at this late date. Mary and Amy even put me on the lists. Thank you! Doreen :wave2:

:welcome:
Welcome aboard! Hold on to your hats it's going to be a wild ride!!

I'm back!!! Got in from the airport about 20 minutes ago. I stopped reading posts on page 1081 and you guys are up to 1200 something. I'm sure it will take a week to try and catch up.

The cruise was great and we had a great time at WDW before the cruise and after.

I'll post more in the morning - right now my eyes are a bit blurry!

Welcome Back Gail!!
Have fun trying to catch up. It could take at least a whole day!!

Sorry to hear that Mary. Hope your feeling better soon.
I had some problems sleeping last night too. Woke up around 2am with a terrible headache and a quessy stomach. I took some headache medicine and finaly got back to sleep but it was rough getting up this morning.

Well our camping trip with Boy Scouts was fun and very wet this weekend.
We got to Saratoga State park Friday night and set up camp. It was a cold night so sleeping was not the easiest.

Luckily Saturday was a better day. The boys got up and cooked a great breakfast then it was off to the different activities of the day. They had different things for the boys to do. A frame walk, making a magic braid bracelet out of deer skin, bb shooting, and a trappers display to name a few. After all the activies it was back to the camp site for lunch of soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.

After lunch we walked over to the Native American Heritage Festival that was taking place at another part of the park. They had food and lots of craft vendors. We also got to watch Native American dancers. It was pretty neat.

We had tons of food for dinner that the boys cooked . Hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and peppers. To much to eat really but it was real good. After dinner they had an evening closing ceremonies. They had the Native American Dancers and Native American storyteller give the boys a private show. It was pretty cool. To cap off the night was a fireworks show (not as good as Disney but hey it was good).

Sunday is when things got really fun. Thats when the heavens opened up and the rain fell. At first it wasn't bad but then the deluge began and needless to say we all went home soaking wet. Now we just need to get every thing out to try to get it dried out. That could take a bit. It was raining so bad it just became comical but everyone had a good time.

Ummmmm - We're not selling our HHI points, dear. I can't wait to go there, and I have a very strong feeling that I'll fall in love with the place... :goodvibes

Walkers - would you rather have a meeting place up on deck 10. I put in where we met on the 10 day but if more people would rather meet on deck 10 I'm cool with that. Where do you want to meet? Drink station? Outside Cove Cafe? Other?

I'd prefer deck 10 too. :thumbsup2
