We own 460 of them and still only have 62 for next year :confused3

Squid

We started out with the 150 and just bought 75 more. I hope 225 a year will hold us, at least until we can afford some more. :rolleyes1

WOW!!!

There were a lot of posts to catch up on. :chat: :chat: :chat:

Cameron & I had a bright and sunny not to mention wonderful day. The boys did awesome in their shooting and I believe we've found a birthday present for Cameron that he won't forget any time soon. The man who arranged todays event for the boys is going to work on recommendations to get the boys into a club close by our house to work with a trainer. Something tells me this is going to be an expensive hobby -- although I have to say that I was pretty impressed with not only Cameron's ability but the other 2 boys as well.

Even more important, I never saw any of the boys goof off in a manner that was unsafe for any of them. :thumbsup2 Awesome safety procedures in effect and seeing it for my own eyes was good.

It did still make me a little leary because I know there are no second chances with firearms.

On our way home, we stopped in at the nursing home that my Mom is living at for a visit. Even she enjoyed seeing the pictures from todays event and of course, seeing her daughter and grandson.

Walker & Gary are out now on a very soggy hayride with Cub Scouts. Ther was no rain by me & Camoron today (in fact, we're sunburnt) but it rained by my house several times this afternoon. :umbrella:

Big news for JoAnne fabric fans --- check to make sure your store is still in business. Cameron & I stopped, by accident, at the one by us because it's closing. So, some bargains to be had --- but things are already picked over. Those of you who get into that kind of stuff might want to check your local stores to see if they are staying open. I have no idea why ours is closing -- but they have always been busy when I've been in there.

Hi all. Busy day here. We went to Super WalMart to find magnet paper and t-shirt iron-ons. While we were there we found something that we all should have............glow in the dark pirate underwear. :rotfl2:

We spent the afternoon cleaning Brooke's room. We found chips, cookies, fruit snacks, three tubes of toothpaste, six bottles of lotion and anything else you could think of. We threw away five trash bags. She saves everything. I knew her room was dirty but I had no idea what was in her closet and under her bed. She came home from grandma's and said she loves her room and will always take care of it. From now on anything left out is getting thrown out.

Don't get her together with my DS 10yr old. He is always picking up trash (like on the school bus) and bringing it home or we find stuff in his pockets that he has found on the ground. YUCK. :crazy2:
Today I cleaned out the pocket in the seat in the van, crushed Yogos, ick. :scared:

Chris

OK, my kids are now watching me on the DIS and want to pick out my smilies... :3dglasses pixiedust: :dancer: :jumping2:

What about the variable that these kids were out past their bedtimes and were too excited to sleep? Therefore making their judgements and impulse control less than stellar. Even if sugar did hype them up and they ate a bunch at night after they got back from trick-or-treating, their bodies would have metabolized it all overnight. :confused3

Not if they ate it for breakfast and for dessert at lunchtime! I'll argue this one to the end if need be. There is also the component of being allergic/sensitive to the dyes, and to chocolate etc. etc.

What are you one of the scientists from this experiment???
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Chris

No, but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night! (unfortunately, not the one with the all black bridal suite!!!) :lmao:

But, I MUST thank you. I was telling Mike about the subject coming up on this thread and now he's including it as one of his topics for next week's Pediacast!! :)

We are too. One would think that there comes a point where enough points is truly enough. I just haven't figured out when that is --- but I do know that adding on isn't something we're considering right now.

We bank. Too much. So much I keep trying to convince Mike to rent some out. But it's just too much hassle. :(

With even close to 500, we just can't seem to ever have the problem of finding out how to bank any of them. Although for the first time, I did make a reservation for some friends of ours in a business transaction ;) . Never thought that I would do that, but I've learned to never say never. This family is traveling down the same week we are all cruising. We're flying down and home together so it should be interesting. I'm hoping they decide that they love the villa enough to buy themselves as I know they have already inquired and used our name as a referral! :thumbsup2

Wow - close to 500! I would want to be on vacation ALL THE TIME! I think we will need more since I have a feeling we are really going to like cruising. Of course, we had to pay for the cruise. We usually go on one long (9-10 day) vacation per year and then we are out of points. If only we were independently wealthy!

Chris

Cindy,
Thought of you today. Went to my local grocery store and the Boy Scouts had their popcorn tables set up. I stopped and talked for about 20 minutes on the way in. And then stopped and talked for another 10 on the way out. :)

I did'nt buy any popcorn b/c last year I bought a few boxes of microwave popcorn and I still have every single one of them (kids got braces a week after we got them and they aren't allowed to have popcorn) :(

Confession: I did know the Boy Scout and the mom. They are fellow homeschoolers here in London. The dad is our lawn care man (Mark and Mary saw his work) They also come daily when we are gone to check on the house and feed the cat.

Bank??? What is that???? We have 0 points for 2006 and 6 points for 2007. We need to buy more but that is not happening in the near future.

Karen and Curt have to be in a very bad mood right now. The Tigers are down 7-0 and have not even finished the first inning. I hope they get their bats out and start hitting.

Tom is working on magnets and shirt designs. I can't wait to see what he comes up with tonight.

If you ever feel the need to give away some points you aren't going to use, feel free to let me know. I would be glad to take them! :thumbsup2

I look forward to Mike's podcast! Let me know when it is out there - it will be the first time I ever listened to a podcast!

Wow - you sound like a die hard game player! My suggestion is to post the answers - that way you can't keep any of them for yourself! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Chris
Nope, I rarely play trivia games! I just wanted to contribute in some way to our DIS group, and, being a writer who likes to do research and organize information...the idea of a DVC trivia "cheat sheet" just came naturally.

Of course, I will share all the answers I get...that's the fun part. The tricky part will be ensuring that someone in our DIS group gets to play the actual trivia game onboard!
