OK so what are the chances---we have exactly 0 points left for 2006 and 6 whole points for 2007! :lmao:

Where is that twilight zone music??

We started out with 270 points at BCV and then added on 30 more. While on SSMC05 we purchased 150 at SSR. Our use year is June and all of our points for 2006 are gone and half of them for 2007 too. I'd love to purchase more but just can't justify the expense (initial payment and annual dues) so I guess we'll be happy with 450 (unless we win the lottery)! :rotfl:

We started out with 150 at BWV.

Then we added 100 at HH.

And another 82 at HH.

And another 50 at HH.

Then another 150 at SSR.

And another 100 at SSR.

Then we figured we had too many, so we sold the 150 BWV. I kind of wish we would have kept them when I think about how we still don't have enough.

But, at some point, enough has to be enough because I think it could be easy to add on more and still not have enough.

Good evening everyone!!! We're back from our 3 days at SSR and it was GREAT!!! But, I'm exhausted, and with over 43 pages to read, not including those between now and tomorrow morning, I'm going to bed without reading a single post. And, that's SO odd for me, because I hate to be away and out of the "know".

I did notice in my email that we got a Cruise News and quite frankly, I just skimmed over it and since I'm SO tired, I wasn't really able to take it all in. Hopefully I'll do that in the morning. But, for now, it's nighty-night time and I'll catch up tomorrow!!!

Welcome back, Amy & family.

Not much to catch up on --- just lots of chit-chat. I don't recall anything really important in there that you're not aware of already (like the button deadline, but I know you're good there).

We've been SSR owners since 2004, just never stayed at our home resort yet.

Nope. Indian Hills is on the corner of Rock Rd and Anthony Dr/209th Ave. about .5 East of Cornelius Pass Rd.

Nope. I work for Sun Microsystems. Just down the road from Intel though.
Which campus does your DH work at?

:tigger:
Wow! We are neighbors! We are West Union and Laidlaw area

DH works @ JF4

Are you cruising with kids? We have a 4th grade DD.

I've been gone all day. Went to my parents for a Birthday Celebration for my nephew. I will try to catch up. I hope I remember everything

Karen and Curt have to be in a very bad mood right now. The Tigers are down 7-0 and have not even finished the first inning. I hope they get their bats out and start hitting.

Bad mood doesn't even cover it - I feel like a colossal idiot right now. Since Minnesota lost earlier today, we could have clinched the Central Division with a win tonight. At the last minute, they released some tickets for tonight's game. "Let's go to the game! We can see them clinch!", I said. (Keep in mind that Curt works at 6am on Sunday...) So, I bought tickets, and Curt met me at the stadium. After a 90 minute rain delay, we got our hineys handed to us. Curt left the stadium just after midnight... :sad2:

It was not exactly the jubilant evening that I had envisioned. :(

(I'm sorry, Curt. This was one of my dumbest ideas to date...) :guilty:

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Sure Castaway Cay is all about fun in the sun, but what if you want to get out of the sun for a little while?

Here's the tip. Head on over to Castaway Jo's (also known as the Grouper Pavilion). It is a covered game room full of family fun. Shuffleboad, foosball, billards and ping-pong are all available. There is also a giant checkerboard.

This area at the far end of the family beach is often overlooked so is usually uncrowded. A nice way to get the family out of the sun for a little while.

We started out with 150 also! Then we added 25... then we added another 50...
So now we also have 225 which is still not enough, but will have to hold us for a while. Having your DH open his own business certainly changes the whole vacation picture. :( No extra $$ or vacation time away from the business.
I am fondly referring to this cruise as 'The Kidnapping', as he is working about 80 hours a week.

We started with 150 as well. Then my dear MIL "gave" us some more (100) which was really really nice of her BUT I have to come up with the monthly dues :-( It didn't used to be that much of a problem but now that hubby's business is sinking...well....If I must I will rent them out to make back at least the dues portion thereby justifying keeping them at all for the time being. I hope I never have to give up my DVC. Marla we may have to put up with alot of business talk at our dinner table between our two hubbys.

Welcome back Gail & John!

Welcome back Amy & Chris!

Curt & Karen - sorry to hear about your night at the Tiger's game.

Nope, I rarely play trivia games! I just wanted to contribute in some way to our DIS group, and, being a writer who likes to do research and organize information...the idea of a DVC trivia "cheat sheet" just came naturally.

Of course, I will share all the answers I get...that's the fun part. The tricky part will be ensuring that someone in our DIS group gets to play the actual trivia game onboard!

Here's a good place to start. Earlier this year the DVC moderators here on the DIS did a trivia contest with 100 questions. Some of them were about the DIS but most of them were about DVC. Here is the thread with the questions for anyone who wants to test their knowledge:
