I can not tell you how many times I have wanted to do that!!! Cheers to you!! :cheer2:

The other thing I can't stand is when you're in a line for something and the person in front or behind you feels the need to tell you how slow the cashier/sales person whatever is at full volume over and over again. I was in Macy's once and this older woman started complaining and I turned around and said to her---you know what, I'll hold your spot in line, you go over to the HR dept and fill out an application and show me how you can do a better job than her.

Alright--now some people are really slow and really not-to-bright (I'm being nice) but yelling about it is only going to make that person move slower! I was a cashier at a supermarket for years in HS and college---Trust me, I know! ;)
Oh, I know what you mean, Diana!! If someone implies that something isn't being done to their specifications, I just take my sweet, old time. I can't stand people that get obnoxious. Now, that being said, I do get annoyed with people that are slow (the reason that I dislike going to my Walmart), but I just keep it to myself.

I was thinking about this last night in my sickened state, and was far too weak to get up and post. :lmao: I'm feeling much better today. Just a sore throat now, I can deal with that. I even made it to the gym and to the animal shelter with the girls for a moms club field trip. Luckily, my marriage is safe for now because Bruce warned me if I brought home another pet, that pet would replace me in the house. :lmao: There was a 2 month old mitten pawed kitten though that was just entirely too cute to spend another night in the shelter.....:scratchin maybe I need to start looking for an apartment. :worried:
Ok, here's another one (TZ moment). I was reading in our Sunday paper the other day that the local shelter has LOTS of cats (especially black ones) that are up for adoption and they've dropped the price to only $25 for adult cats and $35 for kittens. I mentioned to Chris that we should get another cat, because Bubbie needed a friend. He basically told me no way, that he did not want another cat. And, we used to have 3 cats and now only have one. Oh well, maybe I'll get one for the girls for Christmas (wouldn't he love that). ;)

Anyway---I was thinking ladies---sorry boys, not to specifically exclude you, but I am ;) Do we want to have a little bachelorette celebration for our friend Julie's last single days? Nothing spectacular, nothing long lasting, just a few minutes, just a drink, or two, or however many to celebrate maybe after the show one night? Maybe we can get Captain Henry to do a little dance for us? :lmao:
I think that's a WONDERful idea!!! Are you up for it Julie??? I'm sure that Chris will put the girls to bed one night, besides Emily loves the club and Madison is in Flounders every night after the show, so it's all good.

I have a friend with 4 kids who has the same response every time her dh asks her what she wants for Christmas (or birthday, or anniversary) She says "I want my own apartment." So far, that's NOT the gift she has received!! :) :lmao:

She says the reason is she wants someplace that she can clean and it will STAY THAT WAY!!! :)
Oh, if only life worked that way!!! I already hate to clean with a passion, so when I do it, I wish that it stayed clean for more than an hour (and that's being nice, usually it only takes about 10 minutes before something is spilled or dropped and mushed into the carpet). If I was smart, when we bought this house, we had to completely replace the carpet and I should have put in tile or hardwood/laminate floors to avoid the disaster that is our carpet. Heck, I've given up on it, there are stains everywhere and I won't do anything about it until Madison is potty-trained.

I'm starting to a few strands of white!
I tell you, I didn't notice it so much until I had these girls. Who says kids don't give you gray hair?!?!?!?

nt period of not having a gall bladder anymore would be much more of an impact on our trip than that of waiting, maintaining it, and getting the surgery after vacation.

Thank you all for your concern for her and your thoughts for her. I guess this means that I can't put off my getting my wisdom teeth out next week.

Sheesh, I just remember how painful those attacks were. I sure hope she can bring enough meds to help her through if she has one and I guess she would have to really watch the fat content of things she was eating.

Cheryl, here's to your health!

One of mine too, but I was looking at Bill Pullman. Christian Bale is a little too young for me.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

An investment in Hefty 2.5 gallon zip bags makes packing and travel much easier.

We use these bags for packing all the time. Swimsuits in one, underwear in another, t-shirts, shorts, you get the idea. If you are flying and have your bags searched by TSA you won't have anyone handling your clothes.

Now here's a tip for those with kids. Put a differnt complete outfit in each back. Underwear, socks, bottom, top. When you get to the ship just unpack the bags but don't open them. Each morning you have the clothes for the day ready. If the kids can dress themselves even better. No more mis-matched items or looking for missing pieces.

The bags also work great to take dry shirts with you on excursions or to keep your books, camera, etc. clean and dry while on CC.

To expand on this very useful tip, if you are bringing nicer clothes especially shirts that would normally need ironing, you can wrap the clothes in the plastic that shirts come back from the dry cleaners in around the shirts where the shirts are neatly folded with the arms gonig longways across the suitcase (the shirt will need to be folded once in half). Most times the clothes do not need ironing because the plastic will protect them. If you use two plastic liners where one is on top and the other is on bottom this trick works better. My mom showed me and her friend who travels on business a lot showed her. I'll ask her exactly how to describe this as what I wrote may sound confusing. I usually put the nicer clothes right on top in the tightly packed rolling suitcase and have not found it disturbed by the searchers. If not packed tightly on top, on the bottom in between some heavier clothes (jeans/dockers, shorts, t-shirts) works well also. The hanging suit bags work even better but not all rolling suitcases have them.

This helps me as I don't iron unless it is absolutely necessary.

Off to get those cleaner bags out of the trash! Great suggestion Jeff!
