Studio 60 was excellent - as was kidnapped.

ER WOW nto sure if I like the direction we are going here but it kept me mesmerized!

ER WOW is right....talk about a roller coaster ride. I don't read any spoilers on the show, because usually the show isn't that exciting, but I spent the whole episode going--oh no--he/she CAN'T die!! They aren't going to kill that poor baby, are they? :sad1:

We have not heard of any pre-cruise party being thrown by DVC. But it seems like you have more info then us! :rotfl2: Jodi Benson is going to be the performer this year? That would be awesome, since both my DDs are HUGE Ariel fans right now.

Good morning everyone! Home at last. Wasn't a great trip for me but the conference was very good...excellent speakers. My puppies had great welcome home kisses for me :goodvibes and DH did a great job shaping up the house for company tonight as it is the Jewish New Year. Happy New Year to everyone else celebrating! Were a small group tonight only 9 of us but the family food and chatter will be nice after being on the road for a week.

I have a ton of real mail and laundry to do so just a short post this am. Thank goodness I'm finally caught up here!

Frank - happy to hear you are still sailing with us!

Thanks too for the inside tips that Ducky will be sailing with us and that we have the voice of the little mermaid (I'm going to have to figure out who that is). :) Edited to add: just read Diana's post. Jody Benson - how could I forget that. It will be wonderful to see her perform when it isn't 100 degrees out!

Last year there was a bon voyage party held at Pleasure Island. DVC hasn't announced anything this year so as of now we don't think one is happening.
The DIS group is having a get together at the Solarium at the Beach Club at 3pm on Saturday for anyone who is around at that time. Plus we'll do our normal DIS meet on board at 3pm Sunday. Full details can be found on our website (just click on the Member Cruise logo in my signature).

We'd love to add you to the group - just drop me an e-mail!

Speaking of winning, turns out Ian won a drawing at Little Gym last week during their 30th birthday celebration. We found out this week when we arrived and picked up his prize on the way out, a $20 gift card to Starbucks. Hmmm, do you think 21 months is too early to start a caffeine habit?

Congratulations to Ian. Just what ever toddler needs. :scared:

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Does anyone remember this from staying onsite. There used to be a channel called the tip of the day. I thought last year it might be nice to count down our last month with some tips for the cruise. I've been encouraged to do it again. Here's one for today.

Your printer and a set of address labels can save you lots of time on the cruise itself.

Many people before they go on vacation will type up address labels to apply to their postcards. That way you and your family have the addresses at hand and you just peel and stick onto the postcard, write your private message and then send.

Here's the tip - and credit goes to Karen (ohiominnie) since she shared it with us on the 10 day and it worked great. At the end of the cruise you will get color coded luggage tags to put on your luggage. Information needed is:

  • Number of pieces of luggage (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)
  • Stateroom number
  • Name
  • Address (including city, state and zip code)
Make those up in advance on your address labels. Then when you have to pack :sad2:it will make it a little quicker. Plus by being printed it is easier for the porters who unload the ship to help keep your pieces together. Tag measures 4 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall to help you figure out which size label to use.

An extra tip for scrapbookers. The front of these tags feature different characters. Tags of all colors are available at a table by guest services. So stop on by and you can pick up some cute tags for your scrapbook.

I loved ER last night. It's been a long time since I've sat on the edge of my seat for one of their episodes.

I've watched it since the beginning when I was held captive in the hospital before Cameron was born. Even through the low points, stuck it out. Isn't this it's final season? I hope they go out with a bang.

CSI, OTOH, was a big disappointment to me. I thought it was over and then I second guesses myself and wondered if I missed the ending and it started a new episiode. To me, it was very choppy. And.....they didn't answer the question all of us have been wondering about the two who are now a couple :( Oh, and, what on earth happened to Nick's hair?

Survivor, we thought Billy was going to get the boot at the beginning of the show. I have to say, he brought it on himself.

No none of the online stores are taking orders at this time.... lol but I wish they were as I refuse to buy one on ebay for more than I can buy it in a store. And BLAH to the diser (who is not on this thread) who has 10 and has already sold one for $125 on ebay. Makes me ill

See, that's just wrong to me. It's one thing to maybe buy 2 and keep one for your child and try to pay for the cost of the one your keeping. But, to buy 10 of them and scalp people, that just says so much.

I would love to find 4 of them for my daycare kids. Now that I've seen what it does, I'm sure Elmo would have them roll around on the floor, laughing in hysterics. But, I'm not taking them on daily field trips looking all over for them. I'm not running out every night looking for them. If I happen to come across them, I'll buy them (sure, my luck, it will be a limit of 1  ) but there is no way I'm paying the inflated ebay prices.

Then again, if they were MY kids, I might feel differently about paying so much for them. ;)

As someone has already probably answered, we know of no plans for a bon voyage party the night before. There is a DIS meet that afternoon at BCV, if your interested.

:rotfl2: Obviously, the Little Gym doesn't think little guys are too young for caffeine. My suggestions would be to use the gift card for coffe for yourself and buy him a cookie!

Congrats

Curt - aren't you a generous guy! I thought you said no hints or clues. :rotfl2: I have no clue although it does look familiar. I have to put my thinking cap on for this puzzle! Have good time at WDW!!

I was so tired last night I forgot to put in my Thursday guess!!
Can I put in a Thursday guess and a Friday guess?

First guess it House of Villians ( take off on House of Mouse)

I do'nt know how Little Gym works, but is it a daycare/drop off place? If so I'd probably go to drop him off and thank them for the gift card. Then tell them you swung by Starbucks on the way to the gym and he's hyped up on $20 worth of espresso!!!!!! :lmao:
