A thought just crossed my mind - do you think it's possible that it was Karen who moved all the magnets you made for others to my door ;)

Hmpf. Well, I NEVER. :)

No. It wasn't me.

Oooh, tough question!

Favorite pig out food: chocolate and/or ice cream

Nickname: Bobin (for some reason when I was little that's what I wanted my name to be.)

Favorite Childhood memory: Spending holidays with my family. My mom always made such a big deal out of them. To this day I love getting together with family for Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur, Hanukkah, and Passover because it brings back such fond memories.

Personal heroes: My mother. She was always so involved, kind and caring. Unfortunately she passed away right after my junior year in high school. Everyone loved my mother, so much so that it was standing room only at her funeral.

I've never been able to: Snap my fingers on my right hand.

If I could do it over, I'd: Can't really think of anything. Everything I've done - both good and bad - has helped me become the person I am today.

I'd give anything to meet (& why): Golda Meir.

If I could change one thing about myself: Like so many, I wish I could lose these extra pounds and actually keep them off permanently.

People who knew me in High School thought I was: Hmmm, I think you'll have to ask them.

My most irrational act: I "ran" away from home right before Thanksgiving to go back to where I'd just graduated college. Just left a note for my father in the mailbox. I was living at home having no luck finding a job so I went back to talk to people in the careers office. Never did talk to them, but found a job that I stayed at until I was laid off 6 years later.

If I've learned one thing in life it's: EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Major accomplishment: It took so long to achieve that I'll have to go with becoming a mother.

The three words that best describe me: stubborn, friendly, creative

See, you never know when another DISer will come to your aid.

Oh, I forgot to tell you. A while back you gave me a piece of advice to pass on to my oldest dd. She took it and decided to apply for PA school.

Woo-hoo. Has she started?

That's funny because in our house, she's "the lady who screamed something about my lime green crocs across the giant crowd at MGM on the way to the Stunt Show and made everyone look". :rotfl2:

USUALLY nick names are SHORTENED versions of names ....but not for Gail. She has to be different! :) (probably cuz she's from *that* state) :lmao:

Mary, do they know about white text here? :confused3

John wants to know if I want a fridge - that way I would never have a need to come downstairs!
Oooh, love the idea. I'll to give a fridge serious thought when it comes time to funishing my room. ;)

I found it helps to go to Home Depot pick up all those paint chips come home and hang them on the wall. Through out the day and evening when I see one that I just don't like it gets taken down. The last one on the wall is the color I pick.

Ok, it didn't happen that way with the last room - I put all these yellow gold, orange gold color chips up, looked at them for weeks. I came up with my last one standing, went to Home Depot and came home with the teal color :rotfl:
I have all the Disney chips and have been going through them for weeks (or is it months) now. I think I've narrowed it down to a blue or a green for my scrapbooking room. But since there aren't any walls yet, much less lights, it's kind of hard to get an idea. Sheetrocking is supposed to start sometime this week - hopefully - but right now we just have yellow insulation up there. And then there's the other big room and the bathroom to decide. Oy! Good thing I still have a bit of time, though not much, to decide.

No, she won't graduate until December with her Bachelors and then start PA school next fall. She's applied to Wayne State & UofD (both are in Detroit), Duke, University of Florida and another school in Arizona. I'm hoping for U of F :rotfl: Just one more reason to feed my addiction to Florida!

Just wanted to share a few photos of DW enjoying her 'addiction'.
Our four kids planned a surprise birthday party for her __th birthday (ok... 17th repeat of 29 ** :yay: )
For her birthday, she had to hold two sno-cone cups in her mouth and flap menus like wings, all while the servers sang the Hooters birthday song!

Good Morning! Diana, I have now seen the "box" everyone was talking about and I NEED the directions to make it, LOL. I can't believe it all comes from 4 pieces of paper...cool!

I must say I do love my craft studio (room is just too ordinary a word). I thought I had enough storage for all my yarn and fabric but already it's popping at the seams so to speak and it's only been set up since April. IKEA has great options for inexpensive storage furniture, BTW.

I have to think about the door magnets...hmmm. How did you all get graphics and such for the magnets. It's only two of us in the room so it may look kind of plain. I'm thinking I need to get one of those fish extenders too. I was hoping to make one but to be realistic...

Hey, when I was in WDW this past week I stopped at a cruise stand in the hotel and asked the CM if they knew any details about the member cruise activities. They said we knew more than they did, LOL. Oh well it was worth a try,eh?

Hope those in the path of Ernesto are safe today. DD is in Daytona Beach at college and they are not having classes this afternoon. I hope they don't have to evacuate at all because she has no where to go!!!

Just trying out the new tickerfactory countdown. Anyone know why the disney one's stopped working?

Thanks honey, but..........I turned 47 this year:rotfl:

I remember we talked about this last year, but that's one of my fears as well. When I leave for vacation, I totally clean the entire house, for fear that there will be a fire and the firefighters will come in and see that I've left a mess. Like somehow, in the ashes, they'll find dust. I realize that's the dumbest thing ever, but it's something I do. And I turn the corner every time we get home and expect to find the house gone. :confused3

My answer for the messy place, just in case!

OMG! THEY RANSACKED THE PLACE!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

They revamped their site and you have to go back and reactivate the tickers.

j

Good morning everyone!

Ilene - you can have fun magnets with just the two of you. I'll have to look for some pictures of our doors. It is just the two of us but we always have fun. :)

As for the other tickers - they don't work anymore because the site they were from was blocked by the filter. Haven't heard an official word but there are a number of reasons that sites are blocked.

Found this picture of our door on the May cruise taken by my friend Stacey.
