Have a great trip Diana. Scrapbooking and WDW, now that's heaven!!!

Have a fantastic trip, Diana!!! I'm sad that we won't be going to WDW this weekend, but I'm sure that you'll have a GREAT time!! And, try to get some sleep tonight, even though you have to get up WAY before any of us will even think about waking up!!!

Ok - I redid my tickers and they are not working again!!!!!!

I want my tickers back...... on to solve this issue!!! :guilty:

Hey Gang,

While on the subject of October travels I/we would like your opinion on something.

Karen and I purchased our airfare for the October trip, ($115 r/t) we'll be getting in on the 20th and leaving on the 31st. Our original plan was to stay at OKW, on points, the 21st thru 30th. But due to great airfare and my work schedule changing we added a day on each end of the trip. This poses a small problem.

Should we stay on cash @ OWK for two nights ($500) or eat 13 UNBANKABLE points (we borrowed from 07 to book the cruise) and stay at a value resort (at AP rates) and spend just over $100?

We know that you can rent point to/from other DVCers but we're concerned that we will be unable to rent the six points we need to stay OKW the entire time or the practicality of renting out the 13 points that would be otherwise wasted.

Your thoughts and advice would be appreciated.

Hey Curt. It just so happens that we have exactly 6 points left for 2007. Can borrowed points be transferred???? Let me know if this could help you two.

I'm thinking not. I tried to borrow 2007 points to transfer to Diana a while ago and because they were not current use year, I couldn't do it.

At least that's my understanding. If Diana pops in before heading to WDW tomorrow, I'm sure she'll confirm what I'm remembering.

OMG you have my book!!! Maybe I'll sneak over to your house while your away so I can see it. Bruce would let me in the house right!? :confused3
I am going to be just down the road from your house on Friday for the annual "Girls Night Out" at a friends house.

Great news! Or not so great news, depending how you look at it. I just got DINGed $49 for my airfare home and booked which makes my roundtrip $99 for October!! The good news is I don't have to pay the $122 one way fare that they've been having all this time, the bad news is I have to go back home to NY!

I'm pm'd a few of you. I can't find Stacy's work number and I need to call her so she can book. If any of you have it can you pm me?? Thanks!!

Thanks to WONDERful friends Diana was able to get a hold of me and we now have airfare to come home!!!! You gotta love those Southwest Dings!!

Cindy - Wow the first day of school!. Nick's first day is Sept 6th. The start of School here is always the Wednesday after Labor Day.

:cheer2: Congrats Connie on post 200!!!! Keep them coming! :cheer2:

My DIS name speaks for itself. As for trip insurance, we did not get it this trip although maybe we should have considering both Tom and I have been ill this year!

No you can't transfer borrowed points

Thanks, Cheryl, for confirming what I thought I was remembering.

Right you can't borrow points to transfer them.

It wouldn't hurt to post a Wanted thred on the DVC Rent/Trade Board here on the DIS. I was looking for 13 points and posted and had 2 offers within about an hour. The points were in my account the same day. :thumbsup2

To keep ya'all (for our southern friends) up to date. We have an offer for the six points from the rent board. All we have to do is complete the transaction and get the six points into our account.

Thanks to Jeff, Ann Marie, Cheryl, Diana & Cindy for offer, advise and information.

Now all we got to do is finish this trade/rent (our first) and we'll really be set

Where did my id come from???

Years ago the first BBS I was on was for a Dalmatian Rescue Group after getting my sweet girl Kelsey. She was not a rescue dog but I was trying to get involved.

Hey Gang! :wave2:

I want to thank everyone for all of the birthday well-wishes! Even though I haven't been around lately, you fine folk still took a few minutes out of your day for me. It was greatly appreciated, and it put a smile on my face. :)

Those aforementioned well-wishes must have truly had some magic behind them :wizard: , because I had quite possibly the best birthday ever. No super-spectacular events, just lots of perfect little things: Wishes from many friends, a cookie "bouquet" from my sister (Oatmeal! Yum!), beautiful weather, a Tigers game with my two favorite men (Curt and my Dad, who happened to instill my intense love of the game), a Tigers win, and lastly, ice cream (Dad's treat :woohoo: ) after the game. I couldn't have scripted a better day if I had tried... :cloud9:

My Dis name is for two of my cats: Gus-Gus is now in kitty heaven :sad1: , but Figaro is still with me (and I say "me", because for some reason, he doesn't like Curt... :confused3 )

To finish off this post -
I'm really sorry that I haven't been on the Boards lately. I've been struggling with a couple of chronic illnesses (One is Tigers Fever, the other is a bit more serious), and they have made me somewhat reclusive. Most days, I just don't have enough "Happy" to jump into the fray. It's a good thing my beloved is so hard to keep quiet now :hyper2: , or I'd be completely out of the loop! I sure have enjoyed meeting a bunch of you over the last couple of months at our mini-meets, though! Those little parties have been a few of my highlights this Summer! :cool1:

I hope that everyone is doing well. I haven't forgotten about my friends, I just haven't had it in me to keep up with all of you. Hopefully, you'll all understand, and forgive...

No apologies needed! We still love you Karen!

Glad to hear your birthday was special.

It's nice to see you Karen and great to hear you had a special day!

I'm off to the airport folks! I'll be back late Sunday night! Don't have too much fun around here without me!

Karen, no apology necessary and there is nothing to feel bad about. I hope brighter days are ahead for you. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:
