WARNING!

I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I have even done it
myself a couple times...but this one is real, and it's important. So
please send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks
due to the warming weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance
around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!-- IT IS A SCAM!! They only want
to see you naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid!

Thanks for all of the anniversary wishes!!!

We had an uneventful evening... soccer practice and over to my SIL to look at her PC. We will be going to dinner tomorrow night...

Hey thanks for the warning - I hate when I take my clothes off and dance and embarrass myself.

Very Cool! Hopefully you can get tickets with out having to morgage the house!

I lucked out and managed to only spend $101!

I like her but not to blow my savings! :lmao:

Luckily the venue has good acoustics so I will be able to hear her, even in the "nose bleed section!"

But now I have to make sure that I'm packed the weekend before!

And please forgive me if I start singing her songs on the cruise! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good morning everyone!

It's Friday and I have to go to work. Not fair. :rotfl2: Ok I've been spoiled by having the last two Friday's off. Wish I was heading to Ohio or to Wisconsin, but alas we need to stay home this weekend and host the in-laws. Oh yeah I also need to clean the house desperately. Yuck!

I haven't been here much either. I've been very sick for about 10 days. I thought it was just allergies but last Friday was the worst. I went to work but felt sick all day and when I got home my temp was 103! I felt so sick I went right to bed and finally went to the health center on Saturday and found out I had pneumonia! The doctor immediately put me on IV fluids and meds. I spent 4 hours there and luckily didn't get admitted to the hospital but ended up missing a going away party for my God-child's brother. He is going away to college next month but there was no way I could attend the party. The worst part of Saturday wasn't being sick or missing the party but the fact that I was at the health center and Shawn left for Philly and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I was so upset!

I was back at the doctors yesterday and given two more prescriptions. My lung capacity still isn't where it needs to be so I'm out of work until Monday. Other than the coughing, breathing problems and unable to sleep - I don't feel that bad! I have to go back to the doctor in a month for chest xrays and blood work to make sure I'm better. Tom says he's going on the cruise with or without me so I better get well quick!

We are going to drive to Philly this weekend to drop off Shawn's stuff and we'll spend the night so I'll get plenty of rest. Take care all! Annmarie

Yikes, AnnMarie, I hope your feeling better soon. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Well, I thought this could quite possibly save some embarrassment....what with a cruise coming up and all!!! :lmao:

Morning all :surfweb:

Busy weekend ahead for us. Soccer has started so practice is tonight for Walker & Coach Gary.

Tomorrow morning, we're heading family camping for the weekend with Boy Scouts. The kids are looking forward to trying to catch catfish tomorrow night. :fish: I'll be 100 yards away from any of that. I once was stung by a small catfish, ended up with blood poisoning and was rather sick. It was a little thing too. Some of these I've seen pictures of are huge. No thanks, not my cup of tea. I'll hang out and chat with the mom's instead. :chat:

On Sunday, we're suppose to go to the kick off meeting for Cub Scouts if we get back in time.

So much for cleaning and laundry in our house this weekend. :teeth:

Next weekend is just as crazy. Our town has it's huge Labor Day festival. Mark & Mary are coming on Saturday night to hear Gary Sinisi & the Lt. Dan Band and most of Sunday & Monday are tied up with volunteering for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Adventure Guides. :faint: Somewhere in that, I'm sure the kids will want to go to the carnival and I'm certain Gary will want to visit the food booths. They have a huge craft fair where we have picked up some really cool things. So, I hope to get over there.

Cindy - we are looking forward to it!

BTW someone told me I'm coming up to a milestone. So now I need to come up with something profound. Since I did the last milestone post on this thread I hope you don't mind if I do this one on the blabbermouths thread. Especially since it was a blabbermouth that told me about the milestone.

I see that now. :magnify:

Mary, that's a lot of posting. :chat: :chat: :chat: :chat: :chat: :chat:

Congratulations -- because by the time you come back here, you'll have met that milestone! :rainbow:

OK here it is - post #19,000 (as posted on the blabbermouth thread but you guys are a big part of it)!

Seems like it was just yesterday that I was writing about post #18,000. What has happened in the last 1000 posts. Nothing I would call extraordinary. Yet the entire experience is extraordinary. During that time I’ve been involved in two cruise meets threads. The blabbermouth thread, which started for the May 2006, Double Scoop cruise and the 2006 DVC Member Cruise thread. Both of these threads are filled with wonderful people. People I have come to know as friends. The very first cruise Mark and I took was in 1999 and before we found the DIS. The second cruise was in 2001 and while on the DIS I was mostly over on the DVC forums and it was before the cruise meets forum came up. Our third cruise actually had a DIS meet (organized by someone else). Sadly only 3 other people showed (the organizer and one other couple). Our 4th cruise was the 2003 Member Cruise where Mark decided to try and organize a DIS meet. That’s when he came up with the idea of buttons for everyone. They were plastic snap-on ones back then but they were a hit. It is on this cruise where we met some of our first true DIS friends. Our 5th cruise also had a cruise meets thread and a DIS meet but since we were sailing with my in-laws we weren’t as involved. Still we met a great group of DISers and had a great time.

When we came home from the May 2003 cruise (our 5th) something happened that really changed our posting habits. We booked the December 2004 10 day cruise and joined the cruise meets thread for that cruise. 24,000 posts later and we sailed with these wonderful people. We had definitely found another group of great friends. That was our 6th cruise and definitely a special one. It was also the cruise that we booked the May 2006 cruise on. With many of our friends from the 10 day. A cruise meets thread was already well underway. Who knew it would grow to be the biggest cruise meets thread ever!

Late 2004 came the announcement of a 2005 Member Cruise. We were in again and found that many of our friends from 2003 were also. We would also be sailing with a number of DISers we met at DVC Member Homecoming. As with all cruise meet threads we also met even more new people. We had a blast on this, our 7th DCL cruise. It was also on this cruise that we learned that Member Cruise 2006 would be held in October. I don’t think the announcement was even an hour old before the 2006 Member Cruise meets thread was up and running.

May 2006 brought us to the Double Scoop cruise – our 8th. It was so great to see so many friends from the 10-day and also to meet so many new DIS friends. We had a record 5 DIS meets. At JB’s on Friday, at the Radisson on Friday, at Grills Saturday morning, in the terminal Saturday morning, and of course the big one on Saturday afternoon. We were even blessed to have Ducky Williams attend that one.

Cruise #9 is right around the corner. The 2006 Member Cruise and promises to be filled with more fun with DIS friends. Not only are we having a DIS meet on Saturday afternoon, but we are having a party bus of DISers to head over to the port.

In between all these cruises I’ve had a wonderful time chatting with all my fellow cruisers. I’m doing a circle journal with a group of friends from the Member Cruise, we just came back from a wonderful weekend in Ohio with the wonderful ohiomouse family, and we have had the pleasure of meeting up with Cindy’s family a number of times since they live in the area.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It has been a great ride. We’ve shared lots of laughs, we’ve shared a few tears, and most of all we’ve shared our love of Disney! Thanks everyone!
