Amy - I would love to, I just have to bribe the parents further as we're already shipping a bunch to Disney for welcome bags. Don't ask - this wedding is out of control!
Oh Julie - I'm just teasin!!! Don't add any more pre-cruise, pre-wedding stress!!!!

Jeff - I read the reviews yesterday and there is no herding at this point because they are NOT closing the park for an hour between the party. I also read that non party goers can stay in the park, see the parade, see the fireworks and basically hang out. I'm a bit disappointed because while I want the pin, I'm not paying that much money to have a full park that night! I hope it changes and look forward to your review.

That's not cool. They should be asked to leave as if the park is closed for them. Do Disney employees ask people to leave during regular park closings? Sure do but after a short time to shop. By 7PM unless you have a dining reservation the regular guests should be out of the park, an hour is more than enough time to shop on Main Street. Getting off my soapbox...

I'll bet Universal is drawing more people to Halloween Horror Nights and Disney wants people to see what they are missing. Or they want more merchandise sales. Or both.

If you are at all upset, please voice your complaints to guest relations or write in to Disney Management either snail mail, email or both. This may change things by the time our party is.

I agree about the pin, it's not worth the extra for the party PLUS what the pin costs.

I'll post a review probably sometime in the first week of October since I won't have a computer while at WDW for that weekend.

wait wait I know

we get candy? :rotfl2: and a photo??? oh no, they took the photo away this year and now we get 50% off the photo pass photos from the party (7 - 12 only people)

I agree 100% Amy and as it gets closer to Halloween I hope they do something!
Ok, I'm really not cool with them letting anyone stay for the party to "hang out" to see the fireworks and parade. That's the reason that we pay $30 to go to the party!! Sure, the candy is cool and the kids like it, but it just seems ridiculous for them to let people stay in the park without paying!!!

If you need a new card you can get one from guest services at downtown disney. they give you the new card and then you call disney visa on your cell and they transfer the points. we had to do this once. easy peasy. :)

Thanks Karen. I may need to do this as mine expires in December 2006.

If we don't get a photo, why did we pay this extra money if we can just stay in the park and not go on any rides and see all the extras anyway?

Can you say "suckers"? That's about how I feel right now.

Hey, I'm not.

You e-bay experts should know how to pack a bag (or two) of STERZING's for travel :goodvibes ::yes::

I knew I should have bought extra tickets to sell on eBay :rotfl:

Speaking of buying extra - has anyone seen the new Tickle Me Elmo that they call TMX? We saw it on GMA yesterday and absolutley fell in love with it. We don't have little kids, but I found it on Amazon and bought one right away. They say that by December 1st, there won't be any to be had. I really am tempted to buy a few more. Maybe I can pay for my cruise :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I just happened to be at my "favorite" store yesterday!! YES, Walmart!!! And they were just putting the TMX out. They are in a sealed box, and you can't even see Elmo inside. Anyway, the guy at Walmart was trying to convince me to get one. They figured that they were going to be gone right away, but since everyone was working, they weren't selling at all. His prediction was that they would be gone by 5pm. I passed.

I remember well.

Seriously, I'm not going to bring her a bag onto the ship for fear that they will get all crushed up. And, I'm sure crushed chips are not her idea of fun.

But, what I am going to do is try to commission our server to bring her an entire plate of them. I can't wait to see the look on her face -- I'm sure it will be priceless! :teeth: princess:

This IS about what they did for the DVC event in the MK back a few years now. They simply wouldn't let people that didn't have a wristband on the rides, but didn't clear the park in between.

Now, that time it was all about the rides, so most people left.

Not this time, all the important parts(fireworks, parades, trick or treating) are in public areas, so where's the motivation for the non wristbanders to leave?

Also, the parade that night didn't start until well more than 2 hours after park closing and I'm sure there was motivation for CMs to round -up and get non-DVCers ouot of the park. On October 26, the first parade is exactly 2 hours after park closing so there is no way they will get all the regular people out of the park.

I'm real interested in what wdwtoday says about last Friday night. That should be today or Friday's podcast.

Well, I haven't bought my tickets yet, so who knows!! I can tell you that I will be sending a letter to Disney. And, I'll have to find out what my mom knows, because she hasn't mentioned this to me yet. I'm sure that reservations probably doesn't know. My problem is that I promised Emily that we were going to MNSSHP, so I'm betting that I can't get away with not buying tickets.

The shipping expert would be you in this house. ::yes:: I know you could pack up a bag or two and have them arrive safely whereever their destination would be.

I can hear you now, let's take a trip to Iowa and get some of those chips that Julie's been talking about. :rotfl2:

Hey, Julie, is that where Chip got his name???

Ok, so I'm watching Oprah, and right now she has Matthew McConoughey on. I have to tell you guys that I met Matthew's sister-in-law (or was it his cousin-in-law, I can't remember). Anyway, Karen McConoughey was at my scrapbook event in Phoenix. She is just the sweetest. Her husband is either Matthew's brother or cousin, something like that. Anyway, she said that he is the nicest guy!!! And adorable too!!!

I'll be anxious to hear what you hear.

I agree with all of you. If we're paying the hard ticket price for the event, they should have those who don't pay exit the park.

I'll email as well. I have a history of doing that. WDW will just add it to my stack of letters I've written over the years.
