Deanna was rollerblading around the neighborhood this evening and stopped to talk to "this really cool kid" from her school. They were talking and she said to him (in her coolest, I don't want to act like a big baby voice), "I need to go home now, I just got stung by a bee". He said to her "You don't act like you just got stung by a bee", so she showed him the sting mark on her neck. Of course, when she got into the house she acted a bit different - her coolness went out the window. So now she has this really nice welt on her neck. Good thing she isn't allergic to bee stings!

Ahhh, I don't mean to laugh but she probably scored some major points with him. :rotfl:

Hope the swelling doesn't get much worse.

Hi all!

Karen, I think that pup is such an adorable thing. I love Mary's idea for a name too. Seems fitting in many ways. I don't know, sometimes it takes a bit for the "real" name to emerge. She will probable fit one soon.

Hey all you crafty people! I have the "shoe in" for the new trip flip flops! I was given the assignment tonight to put together a set for our Relay for Life sales. The rage around here is to put fleece strips on them. Look what I did:

These are a child's size on my adult foot but you get the "idea."
They are easy to make and won't we all look stunning as we witness The Wedding!

Watch out Blinkies! :thumbsup2

Ouch that must have hurt!
I got stung once on my finger and it blew up like a sausage.

Very cute!
I've seen them as a project idea at our local craft store but I haven't seen anyone wearing them.

Oh MY! She's one brave girl! And, you're right Cindy, she probably did win some points for being so nonchalant about it.

For those who are doing the MNSSHP--are we all meeting somewhere? If so, where and at what time. I need to make dinner reservations so I have to get moving I guess.

Just let me know

Jacqui

I know it's by the flag pole but not sure what time, exactly.

Majority of us have ADR's at LTT at the 4:30p.m. mark so thinking that as soon as we finish eating and they allow us to head that way?

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Those are some of the first of the day. Actually, it's started out so far as a regular day. Chris had to get up at 2am to go to work for some big project, so no birthday wishes from him. But, several of my online friends have sent me ecards and of course, my trusty DIS friends.

But, overall, no big plans today, just a regular day. Emily has school summer camp from 9am - 1pm, then swim lessons at 5:50pm. Chris has a conference call at 7pm. And, he's got his surgery tomorrow morning, so things are pretty low key around here.

I guess that's what happens when you start tipping the scales towards 40! :rotfl2: Birthdays just aren't what they used to be, huh!?!?!?

Michael's. Not far from my house. I hope they have improved their services there. I have never been as angry at a funeral as when my nephew passed away. He was in the Air Force at the time and there is no arguing with the military. His wake/funeral was a full military one and the military has their way of doing things. The owner of the funeral home was disgraced by the way the military was doing their thing. Stood there shaking his head is disgust. :furious: I will never forget that!

Anyway.....

I work until 5 so anytime after that would be great. Let me think, picky eater friend of mine. Do you eat Italian? Just a little south of there is a pretty good restaurant -- Riccardo's. Does that work for you? I could meet you there between 5:15-5:30?

If not, let me know, we'll go to plan B.

Cindy - yes it is at Michael's. Italian sounds good as done the time frame. I'll drop you a pm to finalize plans.

Hi Chris  How are the boys? :goodvibes

I think your right, Janet, that no one ever said a time. :scratchin:

Dinner will probably go until about 6ish. MNSSHP starts at 7 but usually they will let you into the parks earlier than that (does anyone know what time?).

Just stop counting at 29. ;)

Did I tell you that Walker knows my true age and tells just about everyone who listens just how old I truly am. I never should have told him but it seemed like an innocent question at the time.
