Hello Mary,

Thank you for contacting Member Services.

I apologize, you had not indicated that you had already signed up to receive the S.S. Member Cruise 2006 Cruise News. I have spoken with our Marketing Department and they have indicated there was an initial Cruise News sent out just after the Cruise was booked, however, there have not been any sent
since then. Marketing has indicated they are in the process of putting an issue together that should be released in the upcoming weeks.

Booking day was listed I believe on the package we got from DCL.. The 90 day booking mark for CC members is 7/24/06. Which makes the above statement a little worthless. 7/24 is 10 days from now but we won't be getting an update until sometime in the upcoming weeks. I think DVD dropped the ball big time on this. Guess I'll just book what I want to do and won't participate in what DVC has planned if it conflicts.

I did put the link to this thread in my email I sent to Carli. I hope she drops by and at least lurks to see that some of us are not very happy campers. I guess my email didn't either get read today or she doesn't care to deal with me today, as I asked for her to give me a call between 1-3 central time. No call today.

Maybe it will come in the same number of "weeks" that we get an email update.

Speaking of fluff I was in walmart recently (I Know, scary,) and first, the 4th of July is the day to go... no one there... and second, appears to be no blinkies for sale this year cause I looked as my sister (who's a fashionista) actually wants a pair!

The problem with the shore excursion booklet is that it listed Nassau.

Maybe I'm not giving them enough credit and we'll get something this week. But, didn't conceirge already book? Based on the email Mary just posted a couple replies ago, I don't think we'll be seeing anything from DVC anytime soon.

Oh a tip for new cruisers that may or may not happen this year... last year we had something in our stateroom early in the cruise from DVC and if you read the booklet - that you had to dig outta the gift - it told you more about who was on the cruise and some of what was to come before we got our navigators. Of course with the new navigators that may change.

I may not have any support but I kinda like the mystery. We really like surprises although a note now and then would be okay. I think the planners are just busy planning cool stuff for us. I doubt DVC managment would allow the cruise to flop. They seem to be selling out quickly and I am sure someone is making some money in the process.

just be coming closer together and closer to the date of the 2006 SS Member Cruise than they did for
the 2005 SS Member Cruise. You should also have already received, or will be receiving shortly, a

If they are doing one this year I'd just like to know before booking day (7/24) if they are doing it the first day or the last day.

I'd also like to know if they are planning anything for Saturday night. Not what they are planning - just if they are or not.

I guess I wasnt understanding, Mary. I thought it was the cruise itself that details were being asked for. I understand wanting to plan for excursions because there are not a lot of thing available on CC for two stops there.
