:wave2:

Sorry I haven't been around lately... I haven't even been lurking.

As my beloved mentioned, the Tigers and my pet sitting are keeping me hoppin'. Add all of the stuff that needs to get done around the house, and it's been just plain stupid. :faint:

I don't think that I'm going to brave going back and getting caught up, so...

Congratulations/Happy Everything to all that I have neglected! :yay:

Good morning everyone - TGIF!

Cindy - congrats on your 7000 posts! Way to go! :cheer2:

Good morning! :surfweb:

Yeah, 7000 (+1 now ;) ). I can't believe it. I can say that most of those posts were on here and the SSMC05 thread. Thanks for the congratulations! :cheer2:

And, Diana, I am very shy IRL. Just as a lot of the rest of us are -- you included. Isn't it amazing that we have found a home to be some comfortable with our friends! :thumbsup2

But, I know I'll never be able to catch our other shy friend Mary. She's on the horizon for 20,000 posts. :faint:

Yesterday, I posted a note here from the DVC Member site for passengers on the SSMC06 voyage to sign up for email communication from DVC about the voyage. It seems as though it will be working differently than last year and it has a new name.

Cheryl replied and said that she'd seen it but hadn't seen anything in her last edition of Vacation Magic email. A buckslip was sent via snail mail message from DVC to passengers inviting you to sign up on the website. So, I checked with my sources and learned the following.

It had originally been the intention of DVC to include an addendum to the monthly VMemail for those Members confirmed on the SSMC06 voyage. However, this plan was forced to change and now the electronic cruise update will be sent as a separate communication to those who sign up on the website and is planned for later this summer.

Hope this helps and provides the reassurance that all is well in Celebration and that SSMC06 remains a top priority for DVC. :thumbsup2

You know, it sounds like I'm promoting this place... I should think about getting a job there one day. :)

Happy Sails,
David

:jumping1: Congratulations Cindy!! 7000+ Posts!

Thanks, David. I went there to sign up, but there is no real form to fill out....just click here if you want to receive emails. I assume that they will send it to the email address I use to log onto the member website. However, this email address always blocked the emails from SSMC05, and I had to contact DVC with a different email address (maybe that email went to you David!) Anyway, if anyone here gets an email, please post here so that I will know if it's getting blocked again.

Roxann - I don't know how long the lines get for Eat to the Beat but I have heard the Beach Boys are a big draw so I would think that would be one to get in line early for. If you sign-up for Party for the Senses your ticket for that includes reserved seating on the left hand side of American Gardens theatre for the 5:45 performance. When it's done a few cast members lead you up to World Showplace pavilion (old Millenium Village) and you get your wine glass and plate, then get in the next line/waiting area for the doors to open for the Party. The most important line for the Party is after getting the Wine glass and plate because the tables near the entrance go the fastest. The ones at the back tend to be open longer but are further from the food at the front of the room, it's hard to describe without drawing a picture. But to answer your question, I wouldn't sweat waiting in line for Gloria Gaynor unless you want to be front row center or in the few covered rows in the front of the theatre. I watched Paul Revere from right outside the American Adventure and you could hear and see him great plus I beat the rush out of the theatre.

Mark and Mary - What an awesome Tink drawing. That is such a nice thing of you to do. :goodvibes

Mary - Have a great trip.

Stacy - Have fun camping.

Cindy - Congrats on your 7000th post.

David - Thanks for the email updates.

Thanks for the update! :thumbsup2

Mark and Mary that was such a nice thing for you to do. I'm sure he will love it. That was so nice of Ducky to do that.

Cindy congrats on your 7,000 posts. :surfweb:

David thanks for checking for us. I guess they just don't understand that some of us live to plan. :rotfl2:

Mary hope you have a great trip. Sounds like it will be a great short weekend. :moped: :car:

Today is my girls last day of school. I am so happy about that. Summer has officially begun here. The only problem is that is is only 59 here right now. It is supposed to be cool all weekend so I guess I will have to get some work done in the yard. :flower1:

Hope everyone has a great weekend. :sunny:

We're off to Deanna's soccer tournament in Portage, Mi for the weekend. The coach told the girls that their bedtime is 9 PM both nights :woohoo: (they have early games both mornings), so that leaves us parents with nothing to do :rotfl2: well except :drinking1 and :dancer:

Talk to you all on Monday. Have a nice weekend everyone.

In the event that anyone is interested, there is a DVC Cruise reservation for rent on the Rent/Trade board. There are also confirmed reservations at the BCV during the Food and Wine Festival for rent.

CONGRATS CINDY!!! You are not shy in person either :)

Thanks for the update on the SSMC06 emails - bummer that they are going to wait till late summer to send something out. Guess you guys raised the bar too high for them to meet it!

It's 100 here all weekend and one of our AC units at the house is out so cross your fingers our home warranty company fixes it today - if not guess we're going to the movies! LOL Ok we're going to see Cars anyway!

I didn't think the DVC Cruise reservations were transferable. I hope they check that out before they get someone's hopes up.

We may have to give up our reservation. DH and I are both starting new jobs and don't know if we will be able to get time off for the 11 day cruise and the members cruise. But I am not giving up just yet!!

Carol

Oohh, you're right, Carol! They may not be transferable. Also, I would imagine that they would have to make sure that it was for the same amount of people, or at least you couldn't go from 3 people to 4, because there's no guarantee that there is a pull-down berth.
