HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUCE :woohoo: :rockband: party: :cake: :bday:

We have a busy day too. Jessica is going to a birthday party then both of the girls are going to parents night out at the gym. They stay from 5 to 10 and have pizza, movies, games and free time in the gym while the parents can go do whatever they want. I think we are either going to dinner and a movie or out on the boat.

I heard from Curt and they need to be back to the hotel an hour earlier than we thought.

I've got a call into him. Trying to rethink this. One option is to get together earlier (7:30 instead of 8:30). Or try and find something downtown but I for one am not familiar with downtown options that allow for easy parking.

I'm hoping to suggestions.

Mark and I are on our way out to the door to the doctor.

I'll let you know when we hear back from Curt.

7:30 would be fine. As long as I'm prepared and can forewarn the kids.

Or meeting someplace closer to their hotel too. I also am not familiar with downtown options so I can't contribute alternative locations.

Keep us posted.

You know you'd think I was a novice at the internet. I actually "own" three yahoogroups and I've been online since eternity BUT the software for these boards is confusing...I guess it's just a learning curve.
Do you use the radio buttons for font, size and color or do you just do your own html because I still can't figure how to use both size and color to change the text using the buttons but I can do it with my own html. :confused3

Not hard, Ilene, you just need to know where to look.

When you do a reply, above the box you are typing into, there is a font selection, size selection and color. In order to do size or font, you need to enter your text between the beginning and ending brackets or into the box that shows up.

What I usually do is type what I want to say, then highlight it, click on size and then select my size. Then when I have that, I highlight it all again, and select my color. Then, I highlight again and select center to have it centered on the page.

Now that I've said all that, I'm curious to see if someone has an easier way to do it. :scratchin

Our day is a little easier to manage.

Walker played his 9 a.m. soccer game with 7 on his team and no subs. The kids worked their little tails off and ended up losing one player towards the end of the game due to the heat. When they were finished, they lost another player due to the heat. So, that left his team with 5 remaining players. :guilty: Due to the heat, the coach decided against them playing the tournament at 11. :cheer2:

So, we'll head off to the pool, cool off for a while and then hit the heat again for Cameron's afternoon baseball game. :cheer2:

Problem has been worked out. Curt called and they don't have to be back early if we can drop them at the ball park which is no problem. So the plan stays as is - 8:30 at Omega's! See you then!

That's what I do too.

Of course, there probably is a much easier way and we've been struggling all this time :rotfl2:

Nice to hear your day is a bit more managable - hope the kids are doing better. That heat can be unbearable especially during a soccer game. Those kids are troopers, cause you wouldn't find me out there running in the heat. Ok, you wouldn't find me out there running in cool temps either :rotfl:

Ilene - what Message Editor Interface are you using? If you go to User CP (up on the red bar on the far left) then go to Edit Options (4th choice down on the box on the far left). Now scroll down to Misc. Options. You can change your option to Enhanced Interface and it brings all the color, font, and size options right into your response box. Much easier than trying to use code.

Hope this helps.

Me neither!!

This way is pretty cool! i don't like having the smilies as a drop down though, I like them on the side. :( I want it all, I know.

Bruce said thanks to everyone for the bday wishes. I'll have him get on and post tonight, he's out vacuuming the pool with Emma.

Big surprise, I didn't know that either.

But, now where did the smilies go? They are no longer just "there" on the right side? Wait, I see them up there.

:bday: :cake: Happy Birthday Bruce!!! :cake: :bday:

Well we've had a busy day today. Jeff had a promotional state exam this morning so we dropped him off at the test site and Nick and I did some shopping. I picked up a bunch of "kids kits" from Michael's & JoAnns to make a "keep busy over the summer" bag :artist: to bring to my parent's house since Grandma & Grandpa are my babysitters.
After Jeff was done with the test we had lunch at a local place called Grandma's and picked up a pie on the way out.
Then it was off to BJ's (which is like Sam's or Costco) and picked up some stuff then back home to do some housecleaning & laundry :laundy:

Mary, Cindy, & Tina - Have a great time at the mini-meet tomorrow, boy I wish I could join you guys!! :sad1:
Hey the Field Museum looks interesting, have any of you been there before?

Well, glad I asked that question :teeth:
Now I'm going to play here a little.
Yes, this is more fun :goodvibes
Thanks for the info:flower:
I promise not to be annoying :yay:

and those of you in Northeastern ILL. A big ole green, red, orange and yellow radar blob of weather is coming our way. Winds in excess of 70 mph heavy rain, the whole shebang! That USUALLY shuts the cable down in this hamlet so I may be offline for a little while.

I will check back in when I can.
