Mike just pulled something out of the pool the other day. Looked like it *might* have been a chipmunk in a previous life, but it was so bloated it was hard to tell. Also the fur had come off of it's face b/c of the chlorine so it was NASTY looking. BLECH.
YUCK!! Because we have a screened in pool, the only things that we tend to see in the pool are small black snakes and an occasional tiny frog.

Our neighbors have a pool and I always thought it would be nice to have one too, but our back yard is too small. Now I'm glad that the only pool that was ever in our yard was the Little Tykes pool! (And it was bad enough when I didn't empty it for a long time and it filled up with mosquito larva!)

We used to have a pool, now we live in a neighborhood where we have a community pool. Much less to worry about!

You think I stuck around to find out? :lmao: So Bruce, the pain in the neck that he is, takes the net for the pool and scoops the sucker out. The whole time Emma wants to know whats going on, so she keeps going near him and I keep yelling for her to stay back. :lmao: So with the "thing" still in the net Bruce starts playing games and tossing it up in the air and catching it with the net. :crazy2: Emma, of course, thinks this is hilarious and I'm just screaming for him to put it in the garbage. Typical Bruce, doesn't listen to me and tosses the dead thing with the net badmitton style into the lot behind us (a good 30 feet away). The visual is enough to put me in therapy for years! :lmao:

It was bigger than the regular mice we have out there usually, about the size of a chipmunk, but it didn't look like a chip to me in the quick glance that I got. :rotfl2: Bruce said it had webbed feet, but luckily, I didn't get close enough to find out. It obviously wasn't a good swimmer though. :lmao:

Do not tell this story to my boys!!! They will be asking when we can get a pond, have dead things floating in it that they can scoop up and toss around! They would have loved it. Next time, give us a call and I'll put them on an airplane. They'll be more than happy to help you get whatever it is out of the pool. :lmao:

Oh Yuck!!!!

We did watch the neighbor scoop out a dead duck out of their pond not long ago. As he walked around the house to put it out for the garbage that night, Walker high tailed it over there to give it a look! :scared:

Has Gary hired all of you to tell your dead animal stories (or in Amy's case alive snakes) so that I would be discouraged from putting one in our yard?

I'd really love one -- not for me as much as the kids. I know they would be in there as much as they could be and love every minute of it. But I know that Walker is still much to rambuncious to follow the rules. I'm not sure we could come up with strick enough consequences for his actions (short of death) that would have a tough enough impact on him. So, unfair to Cameron, but we're going to have a wait another couple of years I suspect.

Hey all, I am thinking that Robin will have a new favorite number soon....

I have asnake story...When I was in HS one Saturday morning we went into the school theater for a technical run-through... there was a live snake stuck in some dried Dr Pepper. It (and all of us students) was not happy.

I am also allergic to cats, and we have some neighborhood feral cats that like my yard. To discourage them from coming into our yard (and using it for a litter box) we got some "Red-Fox Urine to spread around... That stuff stinks!!!!!

OK, the construction at our house is going apace, and I think it will be done soon.... or at least framed. I really don't want a a cat or rat to come into the house while it is being worked on and is exposed.

See ya!!!!!

Hi everyone!!!

I am one of Robin & David's Dragons. I just want to let you know how happy my sister and I are to be on this cruise. We wish to thank everyone here for all of the extra effort that they are putting forth to make it extra special.

I especially want to thank Mark and Mary.

Thank You.

Thanks, Stacy. What a sweet offer. :goodvibes I just asked "Mr. Cool Jr" and got a "nope, I don't want one" answer so I suspect he wouldn't wear it.

Thanks anyway!

I undestand. Luckily Nick prefers to wear a shirt of some kind when he swims.

My dad went to the doctors and has to go to a plastic surgeon now. He had a spot on the side of his left eye which the had to "dig" out and check the cells for cancer. Well they need to do it again but he is being refered to a plastic surgeon due to the size area they have to dig out to make sure they get all the bad stuff and a certain amount of good stuff surrounding that area. We'll see how that turns out.

Good morning everyone! Our weekend has started and we are heading up to Milwaukee soon.

Remember that tonight is cruise chat. We won't be there as we'll be at the race, but I hope those of you who do go into chat have a great time.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Hope you have a fun weekend. Safe Driving! :drive:

pixiedust: to your dad Stacy. Hope they get it all without too much cutting away. My dad has had many spots removed and some that needed extensive reconstruction. Hope all goes well.

Hey when is the chat and how do I get there?

Good morning everyone! How are you? Chat was fun last night. Lots of people, but not many member cruisers.

We're busy, busy, busy today! Emily has a birthday party this morning at 10:30am. Then, we have a BBQ at Chris' boss's house this afternoon. Should be a lot of fun, since she has a big pool and a HUGE yard for the girls to run around. And, there will be several people there with little ones like us, so it keeps the girls happy.

Good morning everyone from Brookfield, WI! Had a great time at the race yesterday but what a long day. We didn't get back to the room until after midnight. As luck would have it though right as we pulled in someone pulled out of the very full parking lot and we got a space right near the door and right under our room

Today is going to be another long but fun day ahead.

I'll see you tomorrow morning for the countdown!
