A) what is the worst meal you have had at WDW? (any associated warnings)
I'd have to say Boma. We had banked points to use one year so we stayed 3 nights at AKL. We liked the breakfast there, but just didn't care for the food that was offered for supper.

B) What was the best thing a CM ever went way out of their way to do special for you…
It happened at Disneyland. My girls and I gave DH our packages to hold while we rode Splash Mountain. He set the bags on the ground and proceded to nod off on a bench. The fireworks woke him up and he walked across the sidewalk to get a better view. When we got off the ride, we asked "Where's our stuff?" It was gone. Someone helped themselves to it. We checked L & F, but nothing. We went back to the stores to replace the items, and a two separate places, the CM replaced them for free, saying "I'm sorry that happened to you here."

C) What is your favorite attraction (in each park, and if it is still too hard, in each land)
MK: Big Thunder Mountain

Epcot: Soarin'
MGM: Tower of Terror (no contest here!)
AK: Since I've only ridden EE one time, I can't really say it's my favorite, so I guess I would go with It's Tough to be a Bug.
D) Rental Car or Disney Transport
We've done both. Last trip we used ME.
E) Have you ever Pool Hopped? If so, please tell us
No.
F)What is your favorite place on the Wonder/Magic?Anyplace!
G) After your initial purchase, how often do you speak to your guide? Our original guide has left DVC. DH has called our new guide twice to make inquiries about new points, but we haven't bought any. She never calls us, and DH thinks we have better ways to use our time at Disney than to use it to go meet her. The funny thing is that when my sister and her DH bought into DVC this month, she randomly got the same guide, so she HAS met her even though we haven't!
H) Dole Whips,Mickey Bars, and other treats… what is your favorite snack?
Minnie Strawberry Bars! ::MinnieMo
I) Are you going to buy more points on the cruise?
Probably not. We just aren't in the right financial situation right now.

Now that really was a fun time Mary - kept me laughing and smiling - even when the joke was on me! :rotfl2:

You have nothing to worry about Mary, John will be there again to "help" you out! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm sure he wouldn't pass up the chance to make sure you don't ever lose your KTTW card :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Awww, that's sweet that he wants to help. Emily's school is closed tomorrow for Good Friday, and Monday for Easter Monday, so she gets a nice, long weekend. For me, it means that she's home for 4 chaotic days. If only those 2 girls could be nice to each other ALL the time.

Only 4 chaotic days??? I'll trade you - I have Deanna home for Friday and all next week   Hopefully the weather will be nice!

We sure did! It was the shy ones like John, Steve & Dale that had the most interaction with the table next to ours (I was too busy taking pictures of ohiominnie and her family).:lmao:

The shy group also got on the good side of one of the chefs (I think this time it was the ladies Gail, Coleen and Karen) and on our last night at dinner the chef sent out 3 big plates of logensteno (sp?) lobsters. They shared them with this other table and then next thing we know one of the gentlemen from that table gets up and leaves and comes back with a bottle of champagne for our table. We had great fun!

I think with the big group we'll have even more fun this year. On our 10 day in 2004 we had 7 tables all linked together and it was great fun to see everyone each night! Lots of mingling done.

I'm sure glad we had the QUIET table in the dining room :lmao: It was a fun time even though Mark and Mary ditched us one night to dine with Jim Lewis :cool1:

We did not! We double dipped. We did Pirate Night in the dining room with you guys and then had dinner with Jim.

Of course we did ditch you guys for dessert one night to go to the Walt Disney Suite. But you got my creme brulee for that!

I'd be happy to help with that creme brulee intervention too! :thumbsup2

Jeff - are you diabetic as well? We are getting quite a group going and you would make it a quintet I believe.

I haven't been officially diagnosed but I have a lot of the symptoms of diabetes. I was told to watch the sugar for now and that was right before the last member's cruise. I paid for the creme brulee and the creme brulee cheesecake those 2 nights and I couldn't pass up a piece of caramel custard (flan always gets me) on the desert buffet.

So, I guess you can include me in the group.

Jeff

Spring break?? We had that last month. That was one LONG week. Luckily, we're going to try to keep Emily VERY busy this summer. Otherwise, she might drive me crazy.

I'm not looking forward to the "I'm so bored, there's nothing to do". Funny how many fun things Deanna can find when I tell her she can clean her room :rotfl2:

Jeff - well it isn't a club most want to join but we'd love to have you with us and hopefully we can help you from becoming a full fledged member (that's a good thing). :thumbsup2

Ok well someone has to step up and do this so heck I will

I volunteer to eat Diana's, Karen's, Mary's and Jeff's (and anyone else with a stupid pancreas) desserts. It's my favorite part of the meal!

The sugar-free desserts on the Wonder were pretty darn good. The sugar-free Mango Mouse cake tasted better than the creme brulee, but I have to say the Creme Brulee cheesecake (yep, there's sugar in that one) the last night was the best dessert I had on both the cruise and at WDW the week before. It was worth the nap I took about an hour after digesting it.

My sister, who was on the last cruise with me, is in the same situation as Jeff....not diabetic, but has to watch her sugar intake. She said that the sugar-free desserts on the cruise were some of the best she's ever eaten! Good job DCL chefs! :thumbsup2

NO WAY!! I don't share my desserts with anyone! I don't care if my stupid pancreas likes it or not!! Like Curt, I'm a cheater. I learned this very early from my grandmother, who was also diabetic. She'd always say, oh just a little won't hurt me too much. A little cookie, a little cake, a little ice cream....all in one sitting of course. :lmao:

Karen has you all beat. With the insulin pump she can eat ANYTHING she wants, just count the carbs and the insulin goes in automatically. Aint technology grand! :badpc:

That's why sometimes, in a demented sort of way, I miss "shooting up" as I used to call it. When I was pregnant with both of the girls.....so think for 2 full years with 4 month off in between, I had to use insulin. I could eat anything and just give myself more. I am the only person of all of my friends who weighed less after they had the baby than I did before because I learned quick how to compensate for the carbs.

What a day! I've been on the phone with the bank/credit card/hair place for an hour and I've gotten nothing accomplished!!! Long story short. When I got my hair done Tuesday night and paid with my debit card, they double charged me. So I call the hair place. Oh, the owner is on vacation until the 26th.....it'll have to wait til then, I should call the bank though, they'll be able to verify and credit. HUH? You took $180 for a $90 bill. I have to wait? So I call the bank. They can't help me and refer me to e-services. OK....they can't help me either. I can dispute it. Uh, isn't that what I'm doing. No--they can MAIL me a form, I can fill it out, MAIL it back to them and then they can look into it, once they receive the form back. I gave them my info and called the bank again. OK, this is ridiculous. It's obviously been double charged. I just want my $90 back. I can live w/out the $90, now it's the principle. I talked to the manager--do you realize this procedure is archaic?? MAIL, PAPER?? What's that? I do 100% of my banking/bill paying online and you have to have something in paper. I don't understand. This happened to me once before with another bank. They said ok and credited my account and took it up with the vendor. Not this bank. Bruce is really mad---once again, the principle, not the $90. He tells me to call back and tell them if they don't credit us we're closing all our accounts. They didn't even care....all she could say was, sorry, we can't do anything to help you until I fill out the form and mail it back. :sad2: I told them their bank is obviously not equipped to handle a problem effectively and efficiently. Now we have to go tomorrow and open new accounts at another bank, hopefully one more technologically advanced.
